From a post at Resetera it looks like PSN is going to do a Countdown to Launch promotion. It says "Get $15 credit for buying two or more games". It ends November 6, but a start date isn't shown in the early graphic. It'll probably start tomorrow.

It's probably meant to promote pre-orders, but it says "buying" because games that are released prior to 11/6 will still be eligible if you buy them after release but before the last day for the promotion. That's how it worked last year when the promotion was for a 20% off code for a future purchase.

So it looks like there won't be a Spend $100 Get $15 back this October either. I was hoping to get the Persona 5 and Persona 3 dance bundle if there was a promotion and if the pre-order went up in time. Now I'll just wait for a 20% off code. The Persona games come out the first week of December, and usually there is a code in the middle of December.

 
I don't know if this is just showing for me or not, but on at least the webstore after pre-ordering Destiny 2: Forsaken, the prices of the Forsaken + Annual Pass and the Digital Deluxe Edition automatically changed to $30 and $40, respectively to let me just buy those items at adjusted prices rather than selling the Annual Pass and DDE as separate DLC upgrades for Forsaken. This would be a nicer way of handling games with multiple special editions.

I think that is standard for Activision preorders now. I remember the same happening last year with Destiny 2 and Call of Duty as well- I was able to preorder the base game for $60 and then had the uption to “upgrade” my preorder to the DDE for the additional $40. Hopefully this system becomes standardized for all preorders soon.

I'm planning to use it to get Spider-Man and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but I've been holding off on Spider-Man simply because I was expecting them to do another Playstation Live thing where they offered a reward for 20% off like they did with Detroit and God of War. I might wait another day or two before finally pre-ordering.

Nevermind, the terms & conditions say "between September 4, 2018 12:01 AM PT and November 6, 2018 11:59PM PT" so it doesn't sound like it.

Didn't work. They didn't budge at all. Sony might be the least customer friendly companies in gaming. This and the Fortnite shit has me really tired of them. This is what happens when one company has a huge market share over it's competitors

Same here man, store pickup won’t be till Saturday so I changed it to shipped and it won’t get here til Friday. So I’ll have to play spider-man until it’s delivered. First world problems.

That’s weird. It shows “only available for store pickup” for me.

Edit: now it shows in stock for shipping AND available at my local store. Wonder if there was some glitch in the system and it was there all along

Been getting into Sword Art Online recently.  Have passed on the deluxe version of Hollow Realization multiple times and with this current Bandai Namco sale they've raised the price nearly $13.  I get it that the new anime season is coming on but dang, not biting on it at that high when it's not even the most recent one.  Argh.  Oh well.

Same shit with me. Went through two tiers of help desk folks, took almost two hours. Both tiers told me to "just buy another game." I was so fucking mad I ended up looking up SCEA's COO and messaging him on LinkedfuckingIn. Ugh. Pretty much everyone but Nintendo lets you cancel pre-orders whenever regardless of region. It's a bad look.

 
I'm purposely avoiding looking at Spider-Man reviews because I don't want to see any potential spoilers. With that said I'm in for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition for $5.

Edit: I didn't notice that FIFA 18 is on sale until I saw Frisky's sales list page below. Just under $10 is my "just right" price for it.

Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider even eligible for the $15 promo? It says two or more games from the countdown page which would not make it eligible. Also, the terms don't state anything. All they say is select games.

Yea now it shows available for pickup at my store, and I screwed myself by changing it to shipping during my lunch break at work. Because now I can’t change it back to store pickup. Oh well. Not like I don’t have any games to play until it arrives.
 
Hmm... see the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is one of the preorder games in that $15 back deal. Might use that and get Spidey. Have everything else I want still at preordered at Best Buy with GCU but can cancel Spider-Man.

Looking at today's sales, I think it's clear Sony doesn't want my money. I haven't made any major PSN purchases since the midyear sale. Still waiting for that elusive 20% off code (how long has it been?) and now with the buy 2, get $15 back deal, it doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon.

Wish I could get in on the hype for DQXI with the rest of y'all. The last entry I played was Dragon Warrior for the NES back in the early '90s. I still remember the music fondly.

I decided not to get Spider-Man yet. Not because it doesn't look incredible, but just because I think I can wait it out. At least until Black Friday. I've got plenty of shit to occupy me.

I preordered Shadow of the Tomb Raider back in March during Target's buy 1, get 1 50% off sale. Given Target's track record in the past, I probably won't get it until a week after it's released.

I got an email saying that it wasn't in stock at my store, then later in the day I received a 2nd email saying that my order was ready for pickup. Weird.

It's now showing in stock at my store.

 
I think I’m just going to go disc on Spidey from BBY. Old Spidey games hold their value about as good anything so I could probably still get $20 selling it even 2 or 3 years from now.
Of course if I go digital I won’t be tempted to flip it for $30 after I play it to death. A real first world problem I have here.
 
Wow god eater is in my wishlist and is actually on sale for once.  Pretty tempting but I still haven't played burst yet since it was buggy on the vita tv.

 
Don't get preordering a digital game unless there are preorder bonuses.  Even then I wouldn't do it until the last minute just in case a deal comes up like what happened today.  If you preorder digitally you should accept that you are locking in at that moment.  That said, Sony should really fix that policy to be more inline with other digital storefronts.

 
I don't understand the "Countdown to Launch" promo including games already released but am not complaining. I guess I'll wait until Friday to pick up Spider-Man and something else to use my 20% off coupon that I bought in the trading forum a while back.

The problem with Destiny wasnt the story, the story was fine for what it was, the issue is that with Destiny 2, the first Annual pass, and now Forsaken and the annual pass for the other 3 DLC your dropping 150 bucks for the complete game...the issue is lack of content, I hope Forsaken is Destiny 2s Taken King but even then is it enough to bring back the playerbase? I question that

 
Anyone having trouble preordering a digital game, specifically Spider-man Digital Deluxe edition?  I keep getting the error  "We've encountered an error while processing your order.  Please try again later."

Part of the purchase would be paid with an account balance, the rest with a credit card.

 
I've been having a PSN website issue lately where I add stuff to my cart and half of it will disappear from my cart and then when I go back to try and add them again it says you can not purchase that content. It did it with the 2 PS3 PS+ games last month where I added all the PS+ stuff to my cart and then when I went to check out they were gone and then it wouldn't let me add them again. It just did it again when I tried to add all the free FFV dlc. It let me checkout on like half of them but the rest disappeared from my cart and I can't get anymore.
