Nah, this is pretty much how it went last year. A big first week sale that mostly lasted throughout the holiday sales. Then a good amount of games in the following weeks.

 
made a purchase yesterday evening with my credit card and no problem. not a lot of money, just $40. same card I always use. later on the same night I cant get another transaction to go through. I've tried multiple times, emptied the cart, refreshed, changed browsers and again this morning. just keeps telling me they've encountered an error while processing and to try again later. anyone else having this problem?

Did you call your cc company? This happened to me multiple times, somehow buying from PSN triggers some kind of fraud alert, at least at my bank.

 
You guys still attach your CC on the PS site? Wow...

May be it doesnt matter anymore - between Experian, HomeDepot, Target, Gamestop and PS, everyone has your info. I'd still be worried about leaving the card info on PS, simply because someone may hack my account, purchase TLoU and make me play it.

I think i has more to do with the bundles being on sale around black friday while the older models are still around. And coming with the 20% off psn code and or trade in bonus for older models to sweeten the pot.

The only emails I get are "Thank you for your purchase". Didn't even get that freebie.

Maybe they found out I cashed that settlement check for a whopping $6.25 for the Other OS debacle.

You pretty much nailed it.

First, the Sony breach wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. It seemed bad because Sony actually did the right thing by taking down PSN until they were sure everything was okay. But in doing so, people freaked out. In actuality the breached data was mostly encrypted and there was little actual fall out. Breeches at other companies, like the ones you mention, were far far worse.

Second, Sony did the right thing. They took PSN down and rebuilt their entire security infrastructure. I'd argue they're safer than most other places now.

Everybody shoukd do what they feel keeps them safe, but at the end if the day im not to concerned since its far more likely to be stolen via normal use at a store or gas station. My wife works in the credit card fraud prevention industry. I know the horror stories. But psn? Eh, not afraid there relative to general use. Also,cc companies are getting very very good at fraud prevention.

I use a pre-paid/refillable CC on most sites/services for the past 11 years or so and the first time I ever had an issue was probably due to the GameStop hack, which conspicuously happened right after I bought something off of GMG that made me not 100% sure what happened there. The worst that happens is I lose the little bit of money I put on the card and fill out their forms for the compromised card to get a new one a week or two later with the money returned, so there's little risk to the whole thing.

Fanboyism? Knowing about a subject shouldn't be an insult. And their checkout does work, I use it regularly. The reason some people have issues with a card is generally overzealous fraud protection. While certainly not perfect, it's better to be overzealous then allow fraud.

Can you let me know how Crossing Souls is? Was thinking of getting it, but not sure if it’s any good.

Purchased a 20% code off of eBay for $5.99. So saved an additional $17.20 with the code and total came to $68 and some change.
 
No discount code in today's e-mail. Accounting+ has it's sale ending next week, so I'll buy it now. Every other game I plan on getting will be on sale until January 15, so I can keep holding out on them.

Although, I am going to buy the Soul Calibur VI season pass now. I only gave a possible discount code until the end of the year. I mainly bought the game on Black Friday to play as 2B.

Browser (Safari/Chrome/Firefox) is more important than system (iPad in this case). I use Firefox exclusively on my samsung phone because chrome tends to have similar problems.

I have a question about the Holiday Sale - on the banner it says the sale ends 1/1 8AM PT but on the pages for the games from this sale that I'm interested in it says something like " This price is only available from 12/11/2018 11:00 am to 1/15/2019 11:00 am" - so which date should I be paying attention to … 1/1 or 1/15? - do I have to have the games I want in my cart by 1/1 8am PT and then I have until 1/15 to pay for them or what? - thanks for any help I can get on this

It's a pretty good stealth game that I'd liken to Party Hard, where you're tasked with cleaning up crime scenes without getting caught by the cops. If you fail, the level can be randomized a bit, so it keeps things a bit fresh if you're messing up a lot.

the individual dates for each game. ultimately neither matter as sony can and will remove any game randomly as already demonstrated with castlevania.

I played three games of it. Two of them went to extra innings online and both players quit. Yet another reminder of why I never want to play games online with random people.

Also, lag was just as bad as it always is with online play with The Show (I'm on a 1GB fiber connection, if you're wondering.)

Oh, well. Glad to try it out, but people who don't get the invite aren't missing a ton.

How does the discount work. For instance. If Bloodborne is regularly $19.99, but $6.99 with ps plus,do you get $4.00 additional off or does the 20% negate the additional ps us savings?
