Not just you. It’s been increasing quickly over the past couple years. Arrogant Sony seems to be making more and more appearances with each decision they make lately. Sales seem to be worse, PS+ has lost a lot of value and yet has seen a price jump, the whole ongoing censorship debacle, their refusal to entertain the thought of cross platform play, just to name a few.

Definitely not just you. I have 87 things in my Wishlist and see at most 3-5 things on sale in a given week at still-too-high prices more frequently than I should.

I picked up EVERSPACE™ Stellar Edition for $9.99.

Its been on my wish list for a while and it finally hit my buy price of under $10.

I've passed on it a bunch of times and almost bought it at $11.99, glad I held out for my price.

PSN sales this year have been really lackluster.

Besides Everspace I've only bought the Spider-man Season Pass this year for PS4.

 
As always, Titanfall 2 is dirt cheap so you might as well get it, it's pretty good.

Or you could just wait until it's dirt cheap again in about 2 weeks.

The only thing I bought this month was Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition, and I don't even have an Xbox One. I have expiring Xbox credit, and it was a good deal.

I was thinking of getting Senran Kagura: Burst Re:newal, but I'll just wait for it to reach a full 50% off. The physical copies are starting to drop in price. Maybe they'll hit a good price first.

That's pretty normal honestly. Lots of Square's Japanese published/developed games (especially more niche ones) rarely see discounts in the way their western published games do. Took Nier like half a year or so before it saw its first digital price cut and then it never got down to dirt cheap prices in the same way the western games do.

Heck it's been 3 years and I am still waiting for a real deal on I am Setsuna. Like sorry Square but I ain't paying $20 (it's lowest drop on PSN) for what is clearly a budget game that should have been $20 to begin with.

 
$14.99 for basic Odyssey? Looks like I'm finally going to play an Assassin's game.

Just curious if others have bought less lately on the digital store than in the past, or if it’s just me. Looking back, I’ve only bought one game from the PS Store this year. Honestly, I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad about that. It’s great for tackling the backlog, but sad in that the real deals have felt a little fewer and farther between, compared to years past. It also feels like most of the sales lately have been repeats for older games that have been out awhile, so any decent deals have already been picked up in the past.

Any other CAGs feel the same way? Or am I an outlier?

I bought mainly DLC I think (some song packs for games) and some Ubisoft games....I think that's about it. I own most of what I want already though.

Man you need a different country's account other than a USA PSN. I personally bought SNK Heroines on the UK store at 35% off I believe, and just know others have had the same luck. I only check the UK and Japan stores frequently for sales.

You can sit there and do the math to the cent on whether or not it actually saves you money on getting the game, but I've managed to get 20+ games during "exclusive" sales on games only found on countries' PSN not USA. Cheers to complaining about the US dollar versus every other country's currency!

Same. I think I've just reach the point of ps4 backlog overload. Plus just in a gaming rut. Hoping days gone hits the spot.

Nah I've been the same. Only games I bought this year were p5 ps4 cosmic star heroine letter quest remastered and maybe one or two other games when they were on sale dirt cheap. I've been trying to buy less and play more whittling down my backlog.

I'm pretty sure all of us are in the same boat, aside from those who are brand new to PS4. The weekly sales have been mediocre at best and the lack of any 20% off codes limits what I'll choose to spend my funds on. My PSN wishlist is now at 118 games (100 + a separate text file I have to keep track of) and my depression tends to land every Tuesday when we get more disappointing sales, meanwhile more and more great games come out which will have to be relegated to my backlog at a future date. (It'll be days gone before I get to play Days Gone.)

It ain't easy bein' a CAG.

I've certainly been buying much less lately. I have almost everything I want and I've only had the system for about a year and a half (that's a testament both to how much I bought before and how few games I'm actually interested in).

I bought maybe three or four games during the holidays, and that's it. Maybe during Golden Week something good will hit a low enough price for me to buy.

Yeah I'm hoping golden week will be good this year. I miss when we used to get discounted psn cards on pc gamesupply and every so often the 20% off psn codes from sony.

The regular SFV Arcade includes 12 DLC characters (seasons 1 & 2). The Deluxe version includes another 6 (season 3).
It's starting to look like the game is winding down though, with no Season 4 pass and a single DLC character so far this year. Ono said they plan to support it to at least 2020, but that's rapidly approaching.

The sales this year have been really lackluster. The only games I have bought digitally this year, are Swords of Ditto and SteamWorld Dig 2.

If anyone has even a passing interest in space games , Everspace is so good and that price is fantastic.

Yes the sales have been really weak lately. All the more thanks to Frisky for trudging through the mediocrity
 
Its too bad that they have PS Plus only sales. Definitely would've boughten welcome to hanwell but I'll never pay for PS Plus.

Target already shipped my preordered copy from their February B2G1. Based on the reviews I've read, repetition seems to be a primary complaint but the game also sounds similar to Mad Max from some years ago (Freakers/zombies notwithstanding); that game also reviewed somewhat tepidly with a similar negative emphasis placed on repetition but I ended up loving it, so I'm optimistic about Days Gone.

It also helps that I technically paid $40 for it thanks to Target; I'm not sure I could justify paying $60 at launch.

My target copy has shipped. I bought it during the Target B2G1 Sale with Sekrio and DMC5.
I just finished the Spider-man DLC so I can make room for the install.

I've really enjoyed the games Bend Studios has released on PSP and Vita. I looking forward to playing it and its my type of game so I think I will enjoy it. I don't really let reviews determine my feeling on a game. I like to play and form my own opinions.

yeah, it's kind of disappointing seeing the reviews for this. however, The Evil Within 2 had very similar scores but i absolutely loved it and played through it several times. i'm thinking Days Gone is still going to be amazing.

 
My Days Gone Collected Edition copy is arriving tonight.  I am actually looking forward to it after reading the reviews.  It sounds exactly like I expected.

I do think many players and critics are being harsh on it because it is the next big AAA Sony exclusive.  They're used to the quality of the Last of Us, Bloodborne, God of War, and SpiderMan.  I already know Days Gone won't amount to such level.  What I do want is an open world bike-driving action adventure that has swarms of zombies to kill.  I do want a good story though, since it's single player, but some reviews bashed its story so that is a bit concerning to me.
