Lot of good deals, might have to finally bite on playstation all stars, portable ops, the digital version of MGS1, the latest sly game, and maybe the latest Twisted Metal game.
LittleBigPlanet Vita for $17.50...time to get or keep holding out that it'll be added to PS+ Instant Game Collection?
If the next month's update is near (it is), I try to hold off on purchases of that nature unless the deal is way too good to pass up.
Just so you know, the saves from the retail collection don't work with the digital versions of the Sly games.
Thanks for the info. If I do bite I was thinking I'd try to finish up 2 on the disc, sell the collection and pick up on 3 via digital.

I really need to bite the bullet I think and get a bigger PS3 hard drive. The 120GB or 160GB I have isn't cutting it anymore. Then again, you can only really play 1 game at a time. I am a sucker for the convenience of digital though and having it all readily available.
is it worth getting the Devil May Cry HD Collection?
With the digital version at $14.69, I'd say just grab the disc version, since it has commonly gone for $16 on Newegg and Amazon in the past.
is it worth getting the Devil May Cry HD Collection?
if are looking to play it right away $15 is an ok price for it but its been as low as $10 for a physical copy so you may want to take that into consideration

They wouldn't put it on sale if it's going to be free next month.

While pretty good advice, haven't they said they're trying to avoid having sale items pop up in the IGC shortly after because of the uproar over Just Cause 2?
Wasn't the Cave on sale with plus discount then free this month?
No, it was free last month and was released back on January 22, 2013. There was no sale in between those two dates.
I might go for LittleBigPlanet on the Vita, is that the lowest it's been so far?

$20 on a great sale at Gamestop awhile ago. Otherwise, no where near the sale price tomorrow. LBP Vita is a great game and the online levels makes it a great continuing value that you can mess around with from time to time and still keep the game fresh and interesting.

I just took the plunge and purchased a nib launch 3G vita which comes with 8gb memory card. I have a couple of questions especially since these sales are interesting me. First does the vita come with the usb cable that connects it to PS3? Second, can I simply transfer the games & saves that I play and finish back to the PS3 from the vita until I get the urge to play again? I really don't care for the 3G but didn't pay anything more for it and I've read it does give you GPS for free. Anyways, thanks in advance for any info and I can't wait to get my vita (Praying there are no dead or stuck pixels)

The USB cable is part of the charger, you detach it from the brick and plug it into your PS3. And yes you can transfer games from your vita to your PS3 as storage, there is also a program you can download for your computer for vita data management.

Does Bioshock 1 come with all copies of Infinite on PS3 or is it a first print type deal?

Such a great sale. Interested in PSABR, Metal Gear HD Collection for Vita, LBP Vita, and Bioshock.

Hum, true. Good thinking.

I still think LBP just screams inevitable IGC but I suppose it's possible that they think one little big planet on the IGC is enough.

Does anybody know if the DLC for Operation Raccoon City is any good? I know the game is not that great but I was wondering if the story(DLC) is worth 10 Dollars?
They wouldn't put it on sale if it's going to be free next month.
This is true. I only have a level or two left in LBP Vita's single player, and I have enjoyed it quite a bit and highly recommend the game. Some of the later levels in particular are extremely creative and fun to play. And I haven't even dove into the online community or offline Arcade, too!

I'm not a fan of buying digital when physical copies are available, so I'll have to pass on a lot this time, but looking forward to Zombie Tycoon at least. Vita has been lacking on new games recently...

Thanks for the info guys!

I have seen so many people on this thread predict what games they think are prime targets for PS Plus. I've never seen any of those become true (at least that I recall). It may happen one day, but Sony seems to be pretty good at being less predictable on the selections - especially regarding first party titles.
Yes. It's a hell of a deal if you pick it up during this sale.
How do cross buy entitlements work with digital buys? I know on disc they have some super secret unlock magic for the store - if you buy digital does it just act like a regular cross buy title?

p.s. R&C FFA is actually pretty fun, way more fun than I expected considering the premise. Wish I hadn't bought it on Target clearance now near release for $15 (only bought it for the Vita version with hopes of trading/selling the disc), but I was really due for a karma hit.

Off topic psn question: I recently got a new router and ever since my ps3 and vita downloads are super slow. My pc d/l steam files 1.2 mb/sec and my xbox d/l files at 1.0 mb/sec. But my ps3 and vita are ~200kb/sec. On my pc on speedtest.net I get 11mb down and 1.9mb up but on the ps3 connection test is says 7.5mb down and 1.5mb up. I used to get 1mb/ sec downloads with my old router on my ps3, any ideas? Also my nat is type 2 and im using wired connection.

I'd assume it would just work like a regular cross-buy title. So if you bought Sly 4 on PSN, you would just get both the PS3 and Vita versions added to your download history. If you buy R&C FFA, you'll just get the PS3 version now and the Vita version and Deadlocked would be added to your download history upon release.

Keep in mind you can still sell the FFA disc once the Vita version comes out, then you'll still be ahead in $.

Have you tried turning it on and off? ;)

No clue. Lots of people here report slow PSN speeds though.

In case anyone was on the fence about the deal like I was, the Tomb Raider digital bundle weekend flash sale is dead. It's back up to $59.99 on the PSN web store, at least.
+1, my downloads had completely tanked (stopped after less than 1MB and just hung forever). Rebooted my router, and now they are back to normal, though still slower than I feel they should be, but whatever I guess.

It's probably a good candidate for whenever they roll over the three main IGC games (Uncharted GA, Wipeout 2048, and Gravity Rush) to new titles. They'll definitely be doing the same for the PS3 IGC in June around E3.

I need a deal for playstation plus and fast. Otherwise, will just cave and buy 3 months. It pretty much pays for itself after the deals are said and done.

For those that have played PSASBR, is it a good fit for someone that would mainly be playing single-player with a sprinkling of online multiplayer & little to no local multiplayer?

No.

Is MGS: Peace Walker a good game for someone who knows literally nothing about MGS? I love stealth games but was always turned off by the sheer wordiness of MGS. Basically, is PW good as a standalone game?

True. I might wait now because I didn't know buying FFA would get me Deadlocked for free eventually as posted up a bit. Might go for that instead.

I love the Metal Gear Solid series but to honest I wouldn't really highly recommend them to someone looking for a stealth game(if looking for games along the lines of early Splinter Cell and Thief).
Here's the deal: get the card and get your vita for $199, 1 year of plus, unit 13, and a 4gb card. Take the vita, sell it, don't take less than $140 (what amazon will give you), sell unit 13, sell the 4gb card and boom you got plus and a new credit card for worst case scenario $39, best case free.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=342565
rofl, that sounds like way too much work for what it's worth. I just paid $5 for a 30 day trial for plus, much easier than your method :p
Am I correct in thinking there will be more sales added tomorrow?
I'm hoping for a DLC sale that accompanies PSABR and some of the other games, but I doubt we'll see a lot more games added to the already sizable list.
Am I correct in thinking there will be more sales added tomorrow?
Well, yeah. There's always more stuff on sale than just what's on the PS+ Update.

No. It's an easy plat to grind out if you care about that, but the single player is so dry that it ends up feeling like a chore. Local multi is fun. PSN is a mixed bag.
No.
I disagree- I played through every character's single-player campaign and quite a bit of online play (no local multiplayer) and had a blast with this game. For the price offered in this sale (and in others that have occurred for it in the past), it's a no-brainer if you're a big fan of PlayStation or at least a few of its first-party games.

They didn't plan on playing MP, so do you really think it's a no brainer for the single player alone... I mean REALLY?

Really? I went through all the single player. After blowing through a few characters I just turned the difficulty down and started spamming the moves that generate the most AP. Even on the "hardest" difficulty the AI isn't very challenging. It doesn't play anything like a flesh and blood opponent and it's super predictable. And unlike Mortal Kombat and Injustice, there's no real story mode to play through, so there's nothing redeeming the lackluster combat.

Multi is still fun, but a lot of psn players rage quit. I'd only recommend it to someone who'll be able to get a fair amount of local multi in, even at the reduced price.

I always imagined this game is best enjoyed with a group of friends killing each other.

For me anything above $15 should be considered a "brainer", especially for digital games where I can't sell or trade to recoup the cost.

Is there any place online to check what the regular price is for some of these games after they go on sale? Or do I have to power up the old PS3 to check?

Lots of things going on for sale but it seems I won't be picking up anything. That's good because I dropped a decent bit during the RE sales.

On a related note, Soul Sacrifice tomorrow! I'll see some of you online.
