Has anyone confirmed the codes in GoW saga can no longer be redeemed? I know there are some instances, on XBL at least, where codes will have an expiration but could still be used far after the date.
I just pulled out and opened my copy of GoW Collection that I bought back on Black Friday to redeem the code, and it worked just fine. Both games were added to my downloads list. So if you have a copy and want to redeem that code, you might want to go ahead and get on that.

I think it's pretty ridiculous for that code to have any expiration date. I never liked digital copies that came with blurays/dvds having them either, but if the code really expired, you'd still have the movie on the disc(s). With this, you're SOL.
Yeah, not cool on the spoiler. Bad form.
Bad form, Peter indeed. :(

The Benedict Arnold pass for ACIII expired 3/31/13 as well, yet it worked for me this morning. (Had forgotten about it.)

Wonder what's with the expiration dates if they don't expire when they say they do?
LMAO @ the new thread title. People will still ask anyway. I'm still weighing whether I want P4G & Sonic Transformed digital or physical. Clock is ticking...
It's been that since last night.

I know right? I had already seen up to the current episode but it absolutely infuriates me how some television shows have dropped major spoiler bombs so casually as a joke. The Big Bang Theory dropped a big Walking Dead Spoiler that was like a month or two old, and 30 Rock dropped an earth shattering Game of Thrones spoiler also as a joke.

40+ years ago when you had one shot to watch things live and that was it till there was a repeat is one thing, but with DVR, DVD, on demand, netflix disc rental, hulu, vudu, etc people may not watch shows until months or years later.

Actually I think the God of War Saga code has been extended a year. This quote was at the bottom of the god of war ascension bundle page on amazon:

"A voucher for God of War: Origins Collection which is included inside of the God of War: Ascension Limited Edition Bundle contains a printed expiration date of 3/31/2013. This date has now been extended to 3/31/2014."

well I hope that's the case, because I still haven't picked up a copy. It seems like way more hassle for Sony if they didn't extend it:booty:
LOL and I considered myself a badass for having two Plats  How da heck do you find the time. Especially with something like Disgaea 3. I just started playing it and feel overwhelmed
I only have like 73 or something, so don't feel bad ^^;;. As far as time management, I typically just play around and hope for the best. Not a whole lot to it and sometimes I will take HUGE breaks, then randomly platinum it after (like Vanquish). Sadly I don't always do that, so I could probably have 100 platinums if I didn't just quit for whatever reason.
And (to Admiral) Spec Ops was awesome, surprised anyone wouldn't want it unless it hits too close to home or something. Fairly straightforward plat, too.
It never interested me, so I never got it. Like the thing at E3 made it look really generic, which I thought was a real turn off. However, if you read the other thread, I did ask about it and did ultimately download it. I'll play / platinum it at some point.

you should play it..most moving story in recent memory.

So what? If you want to wait months or years to watch an extremely popular show, then that's your fault if you come across spoilers. The day after is a little soon, but if you don't watch the show within a week, then it's your fault.

Yes / No. Back then (or roughly that time...) there was a magical device called the VCR, which could record TV much like things as of late. The only difference is that the newer things are a lot simpler.

There is a bit of risk involved by those who wait to watch for whatever reason they didn't catch it the first time. However, common courtesy is to not drop spoilers in casual conversation (which is what boards like this are) about a non-related subject without first giving a quick and polite heads-up about it. Anyone clicking on a thread, email or news article specifically about the show/movie they are trying to avoid gets what they find but anywhere else it's primarily on the rudeness of others.

A good first step would be to add a spoiler tag in your quote of his post and maybe just putting him on your ignore list if he's not going to change it.

if this lil game called call of duty never came out, i would have so many more plats. damn you COD! i rocked it last night running 22/4, 40/8, etc. im a beast sometimes. when i get done with a long work day i go straight to playing 1-3 hours of cod with my clanmates, especially if the baby/wife are asleep. if i converted all the time i play cod which is basically trophy less compared to trophy titles i would be alot better than 55% completion rate, lol.

in the other posters defense, he said 40+ years ago. VCRs were not even remotely common place until somewhere in the mid to late 80s.

It's finally up. Have Demon's Souls but excited for the rest!

Demon’s Souls (PS3)
Malicious (PS3)
Labyrinth Legends (PS3)
SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny (PSP, Supported on PS Vita)
Zombie Tycoon 2 (PS3 and PS Vita – Cross-Buy and Cross-Play) – Coming April 30th

Demon's Soul free for PS+ & more!

Hmm, wouldn't mind getting the rest of the Walking Dead episodes (need 3, 4, & 5), though might wait for them to get cheaper in the future.

Anyone wanna vouch for Söldner-X? That bundled deal looks tempting & it's been a while since I've played a horizontal shmup.

Wow. Only SoulCalibur, Labyrinth Legends, and Zombie Tycoon 2 for me since I own everything else, which I can recommend them all.

So this is confusing. I can get a bundle of both Soldner-X & X2 or X2 with the DLC, BUT I can't get X and X2 with the DLC all in one bundle? Well that's just weird. Not to mention the DLC stage isn't going to be on sale.

& dang, Malicious is free. I remember I gave in and got it when it was released & discounted for PS+. I should really get back into that one of these days...

Hmmm....not sure what to think. Personally I like most of the update. Labyrinth Legends looked like it could be fun and I've had my eye on Malicious. Zombie Tycoon 2 on release is nice as well. Demon Souls isn't for me, and can we please cut it out with the fighting games?

That being said, I hate to be "that guy", but I think I'd take Okami HD and Virtue's Last Reward over all 5 of the game we'll be getting.

Never played Demon's Souls, but will give it a chance. Not really big on the other titles, but I expect they will end up as pleasant surprises once I try them;)

EDIT: I also second, third, whatever, the want to stop with the PSP fighting games! What is this? 3 in a row?

$22 away from the $10 gift. I should probably just save that $22, but that Patapon bundle looks good. Is it a good deal even though we got the first game for free? Also, please stop giving us PSP fighting games!

Anyone wanna vouch for Söldner-X? That bundled deal looks tempting & it's been a while since I've played a horizontal shmup.
it's an absolutely sick schmup and well worth your money if you're into the genre. amazing games.

Good update for me, Demon Souls makes good sense as a PS+ freebie - has a sequel, considered a quality PS3 exclusive. I've tried it before and haven't been able to survive, but I'll gladly try again.

Also, Rainbow Moon sale good++.

I guess I can sell my physical copy of Demon's Souls. The update isn't bad, but it's not too exciting for me.

+1, as it was one of my purchases when I first joined PS+. The games provide a good challenge also.

Demon's Souls is the best game this gen, with its only competition being Dark Souls. Do not be afraid of the rumored difficultly... it is not hard, rather it just punishes mistakes and not being careful (like, deciding to jog around a corner rather than being on guard at all times). If you give it the time and acclimate to it's gameplay, you will be rewarded with one of the all time best gaming experiences of your life.

Also, while losing souls feels terrible to the new player, it's not really as bad as it sounds. First, you can go pick them up... but even if you don't, it's not a big deal. People beat the game with intentionally low level characters all the time. Take it slow. And don't bring a long sword into a tunnel unless you feel like hitting the wall while the enemy with a short sword cuts you open.
So this is confusing. I can get a bundle of both Soldner-X & X2 or X2 with the DLC, BUT I can't get X and X2 with the DLC all in one bundle? Well that's just weird. Not to mention the DLC stage isn't going to be on sale.
Not really. The game bundle was released before the DLC came out, so it didn't exist at that point.

How does Demon's Souls difficulty compare to Dragon's Dogma? That game was rough in the beginning when you're just starting, but by midway into the game, your skills let you annihilate everything in your path. Are the controls as responsive as Dogma's?

Time to delete, delete, delete. You don't want to miss out on Demon Souls. Such a rewarding feeling of accomplishment when you pass parts where you died many times. The deaths in this game are usually made with player error. Just take the game slow and use the wikis if you are stuck. I'm addicted to the Soul series just brilliant games.
I'm so mad at Sony I can't put it into words. From assuming that Sony PSN codes never expired like Xbox Live codes never expire to finding out yesterday that most codes expire quickly (or even early), my opinion of Sony has really fallen. I'm seriously never going to trust that the DLC on any Sony game is going to work again, so I won't go out of my way or pay more to buy a PS3 limited edition (as I did with Darksiders II) over the Xbox version. I went through many games today and had several non-working codes for stuff I bought brand new (a few which had no expiration dates) on the following:

Gran Turismo 5 XL
Need for Speed: The Run online pass - mad I paid extra for the Limited Edition
Rage Wasteland Sewer Missions
Resistance 3 online pass
SOCOM 4
Top Spin 4 avatar item
Uncharted 2 GOTY - especially mad I paid extra for the GOTY version for nothing

Darksiders II Limited Edition - darksiders.com/tomb doesn't work - I guess this one is THQ rather than Sony's fault

I guess I'm hosed on the ones with expiration dates listed, and the others I'll have to go through pain with Sony to try to find the original receipts. I still haven't finished going through everything.

Question: Is the only DLC inside Batman Arkham City the "play as Catwoman" code or is there anything else? I already redeemed a Catwoman code someone gave me long ago, so I don't need to open mine yet if that's all there is inside.
EA is the worst of the bunch. I have hundreds of games I have yet to open, but I try to at least open and redeem the EA codes soon after purchasing. More than once I have had to deal with their awful customer service because a valid (and within expiration) code didn't work.

... I just tried my NFS: The Run LE code last night (after reading your post) and mine redeemed. Make sure you redeem through the game and not through the store.

I will try my Resistance 3 and Socom codes this week too.

Stoked about Malicious, Labyrinth Legends will probably be cool too. Why not with Zombie Tycoon 2? I'll wait on Rainbow Moon, will probably pick up Soldner-X 2 though.
Not really. The game bundle was released before the DLC came out, so it didn't exist at that point.
Ahh, that makes sense. Though they could've released an ultimate bundle of both games and the DLC for X-2 later on. Oh well. Still don't get why the DLC isn't on sale when the games, soundtracks, and bundles are. *shrugs*

So perhaps get Soldner-X by itself, then get the X-2 bundle, spending $8.78 on it all. If I get both games for $6.39, then the X-2 DLC for $4.99, it'd be $11.48. I'd be saving $2.70.
Well Uncharted 2 DLC is free on the store. Has been for like a year now. Just download from the PSN. It's the same DLC that come with the GOTY disc.
Somebody please sell me on Rainbow Moon. I'm too broke to buy it, but i want to feel like i'm missing out.
If you really like grinding-heavy rpg gameplay, it's for you. Aside from that, it is pretty generic in plot, characters, presentation, etc.

I bought it near launch and will pick up the dlc during this sale.

Creditable sources

The vast majority (like 60% of it...) comes from the annoyance of getting a pure bladestone.

Toughest Soul Trophy
All Trophies Obtained

Estimated Difficulty: Hard to obtain.
10,346 out of 83,997 (12.32%) players have earned this trophy.

World Uniter's Trophy (beat the game)
Old One Put to Sleep & World United

Estimated Difficulty: Medium to obtain.
30,126 out of 83,997 (35.87%) players have earned this trophy.

Master Slasher's Trophy
Obtained Best Weapon by Bladestone

Estimated Difficulty: Hard to obtain.
11,972 out of 83,997 (14.25%) players have earned this trophy.

The True Arisen
Collected all other Dragon's Dogma trophies.

Estimated Difficulty: Hard to obtain.
7,864 out of 63,378 (12.41%) players have earned this trophy.

.09% difference going off YGC, though that doesn't count all Regions of Demon Souls. EU has 12.37% and Japan has 17.85%. While some of this does deal with Demon Souls having a better stigma attached / more enjoyable, some regions like Japan shows 48.86% completed the game, which always made me wonder why people assume this game is so impossible...

Very happy with Demon's Souls. Have been wanting to try this series for a while, but have been wary of the notoriously "love it or hate it" level of accessibility. Free is just the encouragement I need to dive in :)

And I'll offer the dissenting opinion about Soul Calibur. THRILLED to see it go free! It's still a ridiculous $40 on PSN, and I've never seen a cheap physical copy. It's a really terrific port, with sharp character models and a great framerate, just like most of Namco's stuff on PSP (including recent PS+ addition Tekken 6!)

I might be the only person in the world excited for this game, but as someone who only recently got a PSP, and has been looking for a deal on this game since day one, it's like this month's PS+ Update was meant for me :)

I guess I'll get the Soldner-X 2 complete bundle since the copy I have is from the UK store.

I'll do videos for Soldner-X and 2, Rainbow Moon, and Demon's Souls now to upload tonight and tomorrow.
