I have no idea what it is (poor description on PSN), but I plan to get it since I was so impressed with LBP Vita. It's a shame such a great game seems to be overlooked. I'm generally not too interested in side scrolling platformers, but that one hooked me in.
I'm reading it correctly, the DLC pack comes with three different levels/mini-games that are Marvel based:
Avengers: Ultimate Escape

Help Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor through 80 tricky trials and collect as many coins as you can to spend on new levels or items for your Popit. Use each hero’s special abilities to dodge or smash through obstacles to win trophies and make their escape.

S.H.I.E.L.D Interceptor
Pilot an elite Interceptor ship against waves of invading Chitauri forces in a 25 mission campaign – or try to stay airborne for as long as possible in Endless mode. Power up your ship with new weapons and use ten special Marvel hero abilities to destroy the enemy.

Hero Rush
Choose a team of three heroes from 12 Marvel characters, each with special jumping, flying or hovering abilities and fight to make it through a series of levels in one piece. Collect coins, power up your heroes and try to become a level 20 Rush Master.
I intend to buy this as well, just wanted to see if I could get any opinions beforehand. Personally, LBP Vita is the best version of LBP and is my favorite Vita game right behind P4G.
and guess what? both missed sales expectations! Yay!!!! DmC didn't even outsell DMC4 and Tomb Raider maybe outsold the sequels after TR4. This is especially tasty with DmC, since Capcom basically flat out tried to convince people that A) DMC4 didn't sell well and that B) the series was stale. DMC4 sold well and the combat in the game is arguably the best (albeit with a bad campaign mode.)
I'm not as jubilant, because I actually like Ninja Theory and the two games they made before DmC. It is too bad they got stuck with the baggage that comes with rebooting a popular franchise. Personally, I have no attachment to Devil May Cry, so I have no dog in the fight.
I bought both DmC and Tom Braider day 1 for the PC.

I can defend my position, if that's what you're wondering. For both games it boils down to sucking out the gameplay in favor really simple and bland cinematic stuff. You can't argue that's exactly what both reboots did.

So yeah, the old Tomb Raider games were popular for a reason and they're still fun and unique to this day. In 10 years, we'll look at the reboot and see how not unique it is...it's just an amalgamation of AAA game features thrown onto a scared, but brutally murderous pair of tits.

At the very least, you can't go wrong with TR1, 2, and 4 for about $11 with this sale. I'm gonna get them for my vita...after i check that they're compatible.
Expectations from a publisher are not always a good indication of the quality of the product nor the success of the launch.

Tomb Raider had the biggest week one sales in the history of the franchise. You will get a much better essesment from the Developer like Crystal Dynamics. I am sure TR2 will get back to its roots a bit more next time but be certain that the Lara Croft they molded this time out is the one you will see next time also.
Those are some awful free games this month. Demon's excluded, of course.
Malicious has a cult following and a Vita port/remake coming later this year which people were excited about, SoulCalibur Broken Destiny is actually pretty well-reviewed (though getting two Namco PSP fighters in two months is rather poorly timed), and Zombie Tycoon II is a launch-day freebie, which is always cool and rarely happens. Admittedly I'd never heard of Labyrinth Legends and it doesn't seem to have particularly good reviews, but I don't think this counts as "awful." Certainly it's not as excellent as last month, but it's still a decent collection of games which many people will have overlooked, along with a newly launching title.

I think giving away a Day 1 release is great for Plus members. No one can ever complain that they already own that title. I would think a lot of Plus members would see this as a nice perk.

More like, "I'm not familiar with these games, so they must suck." Some people are never satisfied.

Personally, I embrace the new and unfamiliar. It gives me a chance to try out games I might not have considered buying.

Sigh.. I bought all of the PS1 Tomb Raider games a few weeks at full price, so you can all thank me for them going on sale now. (I really thought if they were gonna do something like this it would be right before or right after the reboot came out, not a month later..)

Anyway, I am seriously considering buy the Legacy of Kain games at that price so I don't have to stick in my disc copies (having games on my hard drive makes me 10x more likely to play them too). These are some of my all time favorite games (see my icon?) and come highly recommended by me. Blood Omen may be a little hard to get in to if its your first time, but I imagine Soul Reaver would still be very enjoyable today.

I am just hoping with this Legacy of Kain sale, Kain and Raziel having DLC in Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light and with the series appearing on places like Steam and GOG that this is the sign of another game in the works. Sucks that Legacy of Kain script writer Amy Hennig is at Naughty Dog now but maybe they could borrow her as a contract worker?

Hell yes. I've been dreaming of a new LoK game for years and years (even though I thought Definace was a near perfect ending). I know that Amy Hennig was a critical part in this series, but I'm not sure she's irreplaceable. I am hoping that with the success Square is having with reboots lately (Tomb Raider, Deus Ex) that they consider doing the same here. Obviously I'd prefer a new main entry to a reboot, but I'm not sure that's realistic since the game always had kind of a small following to begin with.

Well, looks as if I'm joining the ranks of outliers who aren't particularly impressed with Demon's Souls. Tried it out for about an hour or two last night. Between the tedious combat and obtuse narrative it's just not my cup of tea. Not. At. All. Comes as no surpise, though, since I was never compelled to play it after all these years, even with the hype.

P4G, on the other hand, finally -- FINALLY -- picked up some steam and I'm really beginning to enjoy it. This is my first Persona game, so I wasn't aware that it was dialgoue driven, lol. I still haven't actually had many battles (2, at this point), but the story and characters are varied, interesting and weird enough that I don't really mind anymore. Once things open up a little I'm sure I'll be really addicted. It's no longer on sale on PSN, but Amazon & Gamestop still have it for the sale price this week. Recommended.

I can't pinpoint the exact moment P4G went from "Wait did I make a mistake buying this game?" to "Wow, this game is just as good as everyone says it is", but it happened pretty early for me. I ended up sinking about 120+ hours into it across multiple plays by the time I was done. I just actually got the platinum a couple days ago.

Ugh. I thought P4G's PSN sale would run as long as the brick and mortar retail sale. It's a long enough game that I'd really like to go digital rather than tying up physical slot for 60+ hours of play.
Does anyone remember if the Strong Bad games have ever been on sale?
Maybe I've forgotten the one rare time that it's happened, but I don't think so.
Maybe I've forgotten the one rare time that it's happened, but I don't think so.
Thanks, I didn't think it ever had, which is surprising to me. I actually bought it right at release for full price, this was before I had ever heard of CAG. I guess I'm lucky I did, otherwise I would have been waiting for a long time.

Also, it helped that the whole set was only $15 on PSN, versus $50 on Wii when the were originally released.
Sucks that blood omen isnt playable on vita, seems like a time sink. Will probably get it anywY thou.
Have you tried copying it directly to the Vita from the PS3? Sometimes PS1 games work that way.

For what it's worth, I've been trying to stay mostly digital for Vita games and P4G is the one cartridge I keep in my system. Partly because it's such a long game that I'll be playing for a while, and mostly because the digital version is around 3GB.

Just wanted to get your guy's opinon...I have PS+. Is the Walking Dead Season Pass (Ep 1-5) a good purchase at ~$10? I know it won VGA GOTY and I'm a big fan of the show. What's the gameplay like? etc

Thanks!

Seems to be the only Worms game that isn't still on sale. Removed it from the OP. Sorry about that.

It's an adventure game. The first episode is free, so there's no reason to not try it out and see if you want to keep playing it.

I'm pretty sure it's only free on 360, or did I miss something in the update?

EDIT: nevermind, forgot to check the OP

I REALLY liked it! The demo didn't blow me away, but I picked it up on sale and it's one of my favorites of last year. Amazing story, unique (for PS3/360) gameplay, and choices that REALLY make you pause and think. Only thing I really had wrong with it was all technical related (pauses between scenes, abrupt loading screens, some say there are save problems but I never had them). I'd say it's a must play for anyone that appreciates a good story:applause: only thing is, don't play them all at once. I'd say one a week is as fast as you should go, as they really were designed to be spaced out
More like, "I'm not familiar with these games, so they must suck." Some people are never satisfied.
It's more a case of the grass is always greener, because EU PS+ seems to knock it out of the park with their free choices. I think Demon's is one of the best games of the last ten years, but I've put in hundreds of hours in that already. I am more than glad that it'll push people to try it out. Shame that they'll all stop playing it after an hour or two of dying, though.

I'm resolved to give it a fair try before I dismiss it. There seems to be a huge difference in opinions throughout this thread, but the hype and praise has earned at least 5 hours when I finally start it. I don't really think EU+ is THAT much better than US, but I do think they get more know games than we do. I hadn't heard of any of this update save Demon's Souls, and I think that's what bugs most people. It's not that they are bad games, but few people take the time to try something relatively unknown. Just my thoughts on it all:)

Oh, so it was on sale last week? Bah! I keep missing stuff.

I have to say, one of the minor positives of the free games for PS+ is that it drives the rarity percentage up for harder games, like SSF4 or DOA5. DOA5 recently fell below 1% plat rate on PSNProfiles, which makes me glad.

:drool::drool::drool:

but I can't say I don't feel slightly the same way. The rarest platinum I have is Uncharted 3, and that is still 18% I'm still proud of it though, and had a ton of fun getting it

Oh how I wish I hadn't looked on that site. Crazy stat stuff like that makes me all wound up and I've been pretty good about avoiding trophy stats.

You know most people don't care about the obtain rate, right? I got Lost Planet 2, which has an obtain rate of like .26%, yet people will give me more props for Demon Souls than Lost Planet 2.

Small bit of advice, just ignore the stats since they mean virtually nothing. Sometimes easy tasks are rare for whatever reason (no one wants to play the game, some aspect of the game changed, etc) and other times hard tasks are more common because people really loved the game.

Lost Planet 2 is an annoying game. Wish I never played it. I learned to stay away from that series and Capcom as a whole. One of the few games I never finished as well, could not suck it up to keep playing something that was not enjoyable.

Totally the point I was trying to make, thank you for telling me that you got it.

Small bit of advice, trophies are for personal progress checking. I like to look at my own stats. You may not, that's fine too. Doesn't matter to me. I derive enjoyment from the games I play (well, most of the time at least), and that's all that matters in the end.

Rognarok Odyssey Ace has been announced for Vita and PS3, but from what i can tell it's not totally clear if it's coming to the US (though it sounds like it).

Quotes Worth Noting:
"Along those lines, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace features the entire original Odyssey game, including all previously-released downloadable quests. The original aspects come in the dungeons, enemies, bosses, weapons, and more that developer Game Arts have created, all centered around a new set of story episodes that pick up right where the last game's ending left off."

"The title is due out for the PS Vita on July 11 in Japan, although no PS3 launch date was announced yet."

Anyway, content wise it sounds like a full on sequel / large expansion, and they're also significantly tweaking combat:

"One more important new feature discussed, however, are Ace abilities. Ace features the same six classes as the original Odyssey, but this time, each class has a unique set of special abilities that you gradually unlock as you advance through the game. "

Well... it was on my radar to buy the original, now i'm gonna have to wait. Or, perhaps they'll ps+ the original.

this. My rarest trophy is apparently for getting a streak in Dj Hero 2 Vocal Mode, which requires virtually no skill

Ragnarok Odyssey was actually a lot of fun as a multiplayer game. The release adds very little to the original game(it's more like a DLC) though so I don't see the point in dipping in again if you already played the original but if you didn't and are interested, I can see waiting for this version being a good idea given it actually makes it to the states.
