Haha, not to discount their "input", but considering where you asked might have something to do with it...

lol, good point. Seems after reading reviews on amazon and other sites people are pretty happy with the Vita. I love my 3ds but with PS+ and the quality of the Vita hardware it's almost a must buy for me.
Wow, that's crazy. I just assumed if you were playing the game through the expiration , it would work until you quit. Guess not. Were you able to finish? I got 100% in the game in just a couple hours, and it was really awesome. Very fun game.
No, I wasn't quite able to finish it, I got about halfway through world 8.3 when the screen went black and booted me out.

When I got the 30 minutes left message I was just starting 7, so I knew I wouldn't be able to finish the game. So I went back and picked up my missing trophy collectibles and killed myself a bunch to try and maximize the number of trophies I got from the game. It's too bad, because if I would have had another 30-45 minutes I would have 100%'d it easily. I watched the end of the game on YouTube, levels looked fun but didn't really care for how the story wrapped up.

My biggest complaints regarding Vita is lack of a 64gig memory card and the cost of the 3G data through ATT. Granted, 3G is unnecessary, but still. Point being, of my two real sole complaints, Sony has no control over one.

Best handheld system I've ever owned. Love being able to dive into PSP/PS1 games on it as well. No regrets.
wow, I feel kinda stupid:dunce: yeah, I am, as I don't really understand how to get in/out of that state at the moment. I wish there was a bit more of a tutorial in the game, at least for some basic moves and stuff. I didn't even know you could climb over ledges until I saw a note about it.
don't worry too much about soul form imo. i plat'd Demon's Souls and played almost entirely in soul form. you'll learn the ins and outs as you go.

re: royalty class. people say it's easier, but long term it doesn't really matter. you can make any starting 'class' into anything you want easily. pick what you want. i rarely use magic, so use fighter builds exclusively.

the one game mechanic you should keep an eye on (google, read about) is encumbrance due to both inventory weight and equip weight. Not noticing you're slowly getting slower and slower and can't roll worth crap is dangerous to your health.

I'm pretty sure you won't regret :D
I just hope they allow some Trophy Support on the PSP/PS1 games.. or make them better integrated on the Vita... that would be awesome
What does "better integrated" mean?
I just hope they allow some Trophy Support on the PSP/PS1 games.. or make them better integrated on the Vita... that would be awesome
I'm not sure if it was mentioned here before, but supposedly Sony filed a patent that would allow them to add trophies to games without having to alter the original game file in any way. So it seems possible that those games may get trophies at some point. I think that would be pretty cool myself, but it's not a huge deal to me. There aren't a ton of PSOne and PSP games that I'm dying to play through anyway.

Ha. Well, I'll reserve my thoughts for another time and place. I will say, though, that I certainly would not buy in at the price you mentioned earlier. Better deals have popped up, and with e3 so close I'd just wait for the inevitable price drop/bundle.

Just finished Thomas Was Alone, and the DLC. I feel very good about having purchased it at the PS+ price, but I can definitely see others feeling it's "too short." I've gone from wanting to get the most gaming time out of my money to wanting to get the best gaming experience out of my time, and this game is perfect for people closer to that end of the spectrum, though I realize that most CAGs tend towards the other. If you feel that 8 bucks is too much for a clever, heartwarming narrative with a ton of love spread across only four hours of gameplay, I'm not going to tell you you're wrong; but few games in recent memory have made me smile half as much as this one did, and I feel very good about having supported the developer who made it and the publisher who took the risk on it. I've spent two bucks (or more) an hour on far worse things in the past.

Indeed. That was my exact feeling after my first playthrough on Steam. Rebuying it on the Vita with the expansion was a no brainer for me.

Gaming needs more quality experiences, free of artificial padding and mechanical filler material.

This has probably been answered already, but can anyone tell me if Kingdoms of Amalur @ $19.99 on PSN is a limited-time deal, or a permanent price drop? If it's limited time, I may have to add it to the backlog.

Since I'm always critical of things here, thought I might share a positive. I've never been interested in Bioshock, as it just looked too dark and macabre for my tastes. An underwater Resident Evil? Yeah, no thanks. Even with all the praise I ignored it. When BS2 went free on PS+, though, I finally felt there'd be no harm in at least giving the series a try. But, that was #2, so of course I couldn't start there. Anyway, I rented BS Infinite yesterday, and was blown away. Really incredible. Shame I avoided it this long, and from what I read, BS1 is just as engrossing (and arguably better?). THANKFULLY, the PS3 version of BSI comes with BS1, so that likely explains why they elected to put BS2 in the IGC. Anyway, I'll be buying it and this is directly as a result of already owning #2 from PS+. Second time this has happened to me, the first with Borderlands & BL2 (my GOTY). All praise to be Sony.

Permanent Price Drop. If it were a sale, it would be listed in the OP.

I obviously said that in jest, but I guess I was drawing parallels between the pursuers in each game. The creep factor plus the underwater locale was a bit too unsettling for me. I misjudged a book...yada yada. I know.

I was in the same boat as you, thinking it would be to unerving and stuff. But as soon as I got into it, MAN what a game. Replaying it now, and it is still just as incredible and engrossing. Easily one of the best games and stories I've played this generation, I'd recommend it to just about everyone:applause:

there are a lot of PSP games i own and never got to. all on my psp gathering dust, because i prefer my Vita. i'd rebuy quite a few if they had trophies.

there are so many great psp games (valkryia chronicles 2 and tons of rpgs come to mind).

I don't expect trophies, but the ability to take screenshots in PSP games on the Vita would be really cool.

Trophies
Play-time tracking etc (or Game Activity tracking, etc like User has defeated Ultima Weapon in FFVII)

and the rest are more cosmetic

(1) Game Backdrop
like I would rather see the game image than a generic PSOne/PSP image (it's the backdrop that comes on after you tap on the bubble).

(2) Bubble Image
would prefer a full Bubble rather than a PSP/PSOne Icon

http://www.psnstores.com/2013/04/pl...download-queues-and-auto-downloading-sort-of/
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/download/queue

The auto-download stuff from the web PS Store seems to be live now:
A new feature has been added to the Sony Entertainment Network Webstore, the ability to queue up content to be downloaded the next time you turn a system on. You can access your queue from the following link. We last heard of this when firmware 4.40 was released.

As mentioned before the auto-downloading will only work when you turn the system on, it will not wake your PS3 up from a cold start. It did auto-download my queue when I manually turned the system on. But if you happen to have a Vita or PSP lying around you could Remote Play and turn your system on to start your downloads if you are away from home. And of course if you have PlayStation Plus, it will process this queue when it does its nightly sync.

For Vita, as long as you are connected to the internet it will process your queue. From testing on my device, it took about 10min for the game to get pushed out and downloaded.

There are some interesting things you can do from your download list now as well. You can add games to which ever queue you want. So if it is a Cross buy title, you can choose to have it add to both PS3 and Vita queues, or just one of them.

While this isn’t a perfect solution for push downloads, it does do the trick. You can learn more about Remote Downloading to your PlayStation devices here.

I found it by accident, and told psnstores, seems like all those maintenance was for that.

@FriskyTanuki:
What is the customer support line, I need to contact them I want to purchase 2 games and can't, @morganharo said he would help me when he comes back to CS but that is my best best right now customer support
I'm sorry to inform you that your purchasing of a movie tie-in game on release and mention of it here, we've had to revoke your CAG privileges. However, don't feel too glum because you can redeem yourself by providing the community with 1 glitch game deal or 1 pre-release ad to Best Buy or Target. Thanks.
Cheapy D should revoke his card. He gets movie tie in games before they're released!

Nice, now I never have to use Ps3 version of the store ever again.
edit:
doh, you can't add it to your queue from the store page, you have to use the download list, lame.

Never played a Katamari game before, so I might check that out. Not sure what to think of Zombie Tycoon, but it sounds interesting, and it's free so I have to check it out;)

Really though I'm just interested in what's going to be on sale next week. Really hope it's an awesome all out sale to end out the month:bouncy:

I've been meaning to pick up RE 1-3, so this was definitely a good time to do it.

Also for the PS+ I absolutely recommend Vanquish, it's a very underrated game.

Not really the place to ask this, but anyone know if it's ok to play Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time before I play Sly 2 or Sly 3? Is there any sort of intertwining story?

It's a sequel to the previous games and the story is fairly important for the set-up of Thieves in Time, though they do a good job of recapping the story up to the start of the game so you don't need to play the previous games to know what's going on.

Everything you need to know is was summed up in the demo, but IMO I expect you'd get more out of it having played the other games (the stories have always been my favorite parts of the games). I haven't played anymore than that of TIT (nobody say anything) , but I don't think its required to have played previous games. Kinda like Uncharted, where you can love one, and playing the rest will only cause you to Lo e it more:)
I don't know if anyone else will care about this, but the PlayStation Store seems to be working on tablets now.
It started working on ios in the last few weeks for me. Auto downloads from my iphone are awesome. Just wish I could wake the ps3 to download games before I got home from work.
Really though I'm just interested in what's going to be on sale next week. Really hope it's an awesome all out sale to end out the month:bouncy:
Hmm, that'd be nice... but I just hope people can keep their expectations reasonable, given all the high hopes I've seen for an "ensemble sale" featuring most of the games whose characters appear in PSAS:BR. Not looking forward to a firestorm of furious people should the sale only cover the one game and its DLC.

"No sale on Bioshock Infinite? What the hell Sony! Big daddies are in Battle Royale!"
"But Sackboy was in Rag Doll Kung Fu and ModNation Racers before he was in Battle Royale, how come RDKF and MNR aren't on sale?"
"Why didn't we get a bundle with Sly Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, Jak & Daxter Trilogy, Devil May Cry Trilogy, Uncharted Trilogy, Dead Space Trilogy, Metal Gear Collection, Infamous Collection and God of War Saga? What a wasted opportunity, Sony! God."

Not so much expecting that sort of thing here... but I feel for Morgan Haro and I think I'll steer clear of the PSBlog's comment section for a while after the sale is announced.

Resident Evil Question Help:

1)Should I expect a RE6Gold or just buy all the DLC on sale?

2) I have RE5Gold on PS+, but I can't buy it on sale currently. Only option is redownload "free". I want to own permanently.

3)off topic, is it correct that we can't redownload movies? I notice my MK and Batman Yr1 aren't redownloadable.

Wouldn't surprise me, but it could be a while, and given the frigid reception RE6 seems to have gotten, we might not see one at all. I went ahead and bought the DLC on sale.
2) I have RE5Gold on PS+, but I can't buy it on sale currently. Only option is redownload "free". I want to own permanently.
Unfortunately this is an oversight Sony doesn't seem to have any interest in fixing. If you own it "free" via PS+, you can't purchase it until your subscription lapses. If it's a PS+ discount you're looking to take advantage of, you're out of luck.

Exceptions are rare: bundles seem to work (e.g. I bought the game + DLC bundles of Costume Quest and the first M:TG after getting the base games free on PS+, and they've stopped bumping forward in my DL list when I renew my subscription), and download codes obtained from retailers seem the same. Won't help much with the RE5Gold sale though.

I believe you're correct -- sorry. Sony support says "Videos purchased on the video store cannot be re-downloaded once it has been downloaded to either a PS3 or PSP system."
Bioshock Infinite is currently $10 off at retailers on sale, next week TRU will have Injustice Comic Book fighters for $20 off and it just released. I get you're trying to be cute but wanting a sale on something is never silly since as you see new games drop all the time.
I think his point is that people will be expecting some gigantic sale that spans dozens of games (along with deep price cuts, of course) when the sale will most likely be a more limited selection. The large number of IP's associated with PSABR can allow peoples' imaginations to run wild when thinking of sales possibilities for any games related to it.

Got an email about the Resident Evil: Revelations demo coming out soon before the game launches:
Horror fans will soon be able to get a taste of Resident Evil Revelations with the upcoming release of a downloadable demo for Xbox LIVE, PSN, Nintendo eShop and Steam. Exact release dates to be confirmed shortly.

Acting on orders from the BSAA director, the demo will see players infiltrating the cruise ship ‘Queen Zenobia’ as Jill Valentine and attempt to rescue missing fellow BSAA members Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat whose last known location pinpointed them onboard.

Wow, kind of cool to see the original Katamari come to PSN. Part of me wants to get it for nostalgia, but I remember playing a ton of it when I got my Vita with Touch My Katamari, then getting the PS3 and 360 games not long after. Plus it feels weird not having the jump button in the older games.
