Lots of things going on for sale but it seems I won't be picking up anything. That's good because I dropped a decent bit during the RE sales.

On a related note, Soul Sacrifice tomorrow! I'll see some of you online.
I am still looking for another partner for SS.
I am still looking for another partner for SS.
Feel free to add me on PSN: BatousaiJ

I put a good amount of hours into the demo so I'll be going in with a lot of stuff.

I'll probably finish the single player campaign before I delve into the multiplayer unless I have a reason to otherwise, however.
For those that have played PSASBR, is it a good fit for someone that would mainly be playing single-player with a sprinkling of online multiplayer & little to no local multiplayer?
I've enjoyed the single player so far. I don't think it's really worth $20 digital if you're just interested in single player though. If you could get a hard copy for $20 that you could resale, I'd recommend it at that price.
I disagree- I played through every character's single-player campaign and quite a bit of online play (no local multiplayer) and had a blast with this game. For the price offered in this sale (and in others that have occurred for it in the past), it's a no-brainer if you're a big fan of PlayStation or at least a few of its first-party games.

They didn't plan on playing MP, so do you really think it's a no brainer for the single player alone... I mean REALLY?

Really? I went through all the single player. After blowing through a few characters I just turned the difficulty down and started spamming the moves that generate the most AP. Even on the "hardest" difficulty the AI isn't very challenging. It doesn't play anything like a flesh and blood opponent and it's super predictable. And unlike Mortal Kombat and Injustice, there's no real story mode to play through, so there's nothing redeeming the lackluster combat.

Multi is still fun, but a lot of psn players rage quit. I'd only recommend it to someone who'll be able to get a fair amount of local multi in, even at the reduced price.

I always imagined this game is best enjoyed with a group of friends killing each other.

For me anything above $15 should be considered a "brainer", especially for digital games where I can't sell or trade to recoup the cost.
Sheesh! I guess in the future I will be much more timid about giving my own personal opinion when someone asked for it in this thread about a game I've Platted!

Is that Zombies game a Brand New game coming out? If so it's nice that PS plus is giving it away for free.

I also got the platinum and all 4 DLC characters... doesn't mean anything. We were (or myself anyway) pointing out that the game is more enjoyable to others and that the single player left a lot to be desired. Between the paper thin stories, less than impressive AI and lack of replayablity... it's not that shocking. I can't honestly say 3 max difficulty AI requires any sort of mastery of any character, though 1 decent player online can force you to bring out the "A" game.

I have never played a God of War game. What are the thoughts on the disc based Legacy coming down in price in the next year before the extend timeline for the codes expires. Right now it is $35 on Amazon, about $10 more than the PS+ sale bundles combined, but lacking GOW3

I think you also need to be a big fan of the fighting game genre to enjoy PSABR single player as much as you indicate. I can only enjoy single player in small spurts since it seems kind of repetitive (partly the nature of all fighting games in my opinion). The real enjoyment for me is the local multiplayer. I haven't done any online multiplayer, but I imagine that can be fun too. Again, I am not a big fan of fighting games, so my perspective is from the angle of a button masher who can manage a couple of decent moves on occasion.

We saw it drop fairly low in the past, so I would say likely.

Wasn't arguing with you or bashing you, my personal opinion is contradictory to yours is all.

GOW Saga was $20 at Gamestop (several including me PM it at Best Buy) a few months ago. I'm not sure what that tells you, but it seems like you could do better than the current sale if you are patient, but who knows how long those codes will remain active and how much stock it out there...

I for one love PSABR for the online. If you are decent you will enjoy the online. If you are bad you will hate it. This game does not take alot to be good online. And in a game like this it is about playing online. They never have interesting stories.

so i'm debating R&C FFA. I'd want it for vita, so it's a 'delayed' purchase... $10 now gets me it on vita TBA.

I'd also get Deadlocked... but does anyone know more about this? Is it just going to be a PS2 classic or is it HD, etc?

I still need to play through my R&C collection, my backlog hates me.

Too bad I missed that.

Thanks everyone, I think I will wait it out.

If it helps you as a reference, God of War Saga was $15 on Black Friday.
I can see this compilation hitting that price again sooner than later.

I've been sitting on a $20 Amazon GC since Christmas, and I finally have a reason to redeem it. I'll be getting a $20 PSN code from Amazon to purchase PSABR, and I'll use another $20 in GS credit to get another PSN code so I can get R&C:FFA. My son and I have played the demo to death, so it will be nice to play the full game. Hopefully, the weapons that we upgraded while playing the demo carryover into the full game. Now, I just have to figure out whether I want to get another $10 PSN game or not...

Thanks for the input on PSASBR - for someone who doesn't really enjoy fighting games all that much, looks like I'll hold out for $10 or bust.

One possibly dumb question - does the cross buy on PS3 disc based games ever expire? Tempted by Thieves in time, but would rather hold out for $15 or less on a PS3 disc copy, but am curious if I wait too long will I miss out on the digital Vita copy?

I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but is there a way to backup Vita saves without copying the entire game data? On a related note, how do saves from demos carry over to full versions? I'm done with the demos and want them off my memory card but want to retain my saves for Soul Sacrifice and Dead or Alive 5 Plus.

If you have PS+, then yes.

Ah, made the right call in not picking up R&C:FFA last month. I'll get it now, though.

I'll also grab Peace Walker HD since it's the only Metal Gear game I have yet to platinum. Such a chore of a game though, so I probably won't get to it for quite some time.

$20 for the MGS HD collection isn't bad since it's all 3 games. Bummer the Vita version is going to be only $3 less and not include Peace Walker.

EDIT: why is the deals thread still being treated like a FAQ page? 1) The OP has a FAQ. 2) The Vita thread is a general info thread about the Vita, so if the answer isn't in the OP, questions about managing saves would be more appropriately directed there. 3) Google is your friend. Google can tell you how to back up saves to PS+, where save data is stored on your Vita, etc.
meh needs more 3rd party games on sale, two thirds of those sony games have been free before
Um...what? Look at the list again...not that many of the Sony games have been free. I count 4 (5 if you count inFAMOUS from the Welcome Back program.)

inFAMOUS (Free only if you chose it during the Welcome Back promo)
inFAMOUS 2
LittleBigPlanet 2
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

Where are you getting 2/3s? Unless you're just being sarcastic and I can't tell.
Yes, I do. I didn't see an option for it. What do I click on?
Settings App:
PlayStation Network > Automatic Update Settings > Check "Update Automatically" & "Upload Save Data to Online Storage"

Content Manager App:
Online Storage > Vita to Online Storage > Click "i" button > Upload Automatically

I'd suggest just clicking on select all after that and uploading them all manually first, so then every time you play, it'll upload the save from then on and avoid potential logjams. If you have saves for physical games, just insert that into the system when you try to upload/set for automatic upload.

Wish MGS Portable Ops worked on the Vita its the only game I'm missing so far. Going to go ahead and grab it while its on sale. Hopefully they add it to the Vita playlist soon or I'll just play it on my PSP and deal with the dust trapped under its screen.

Anyone already own the Metal Gear HD collection for Vita?
Does MGS3 include MG and MG2 like the PS3 version does?
edit: Nevermind, found my answer. Geeked it has the VR missions in there too!

Was asked earlier in the thread, but does anyone know if Bioshock Infinite PS3 will continue to include Bioshock as a bonus, or was it just a first run promotional thing? Can't find a solid answer.
