I hadn't seen anyone mention it yet, and it is hard to say if they really take it into consideration but on the PS Blog post for the PS+ update for the week on the little "We want your feedback!" polls it has " Do PSP games add value to the Playstation Plus Instant Game Collection? "

The questions weren't straight yes/no but whether you want them to continue/stop it only takes a moment to vote. I probably put too much thought into thinking of "I'd rather have a great psp title than a really mediocre (just to give us a vita title) title but I want some good vita titles too"

Also on the email about the survey as someone else mentioned I had gotten one in the past and it seemed legit although I guess it's not an anonymous survey if they don't need you to put your info in anywhere to enter you in the drawing so everybody must have their own link

Good catch. This is certainly a step in the right direction (which is in line with my earlier remarks about this vs the EU poll), but I wouldn't call it good either. The problem with that poll is that there are too many biases to really trust the data.

There are no doubt going to be a large number of people who look at it like, I own a PSP and don't want a Vita, so I would prefer something that gives me more value. There will also be people that realize the Vita isn't selling well and would rather see more PSP games that both people can enjoy. The final group (which ideally will be the most common one) are people that want more Vita games, so that can have a library if and when they actually buy a Vita. In any case, I wouldn't trust any of the odds since I can see more people going for PSP games so more people can play them. Similar to how PS1 classics would probably rank high if they were mentioned in a poll.
 
I like the mix they're giving now. Granted, there's not too many PSP games I'm willing to give space to on my congested 8GB memory stick on my Vita as compared to my PSPgo, but it helps people who may not have both
 
i don't mind having a psp game in the mix. 5-1 is not bad, and vita owners should be happy with it. having a free psp game is nice since most haven't had decent drops/sales. i know people have been hating on the amount of fighting games, but i enjoyed getting tekken and soul calibur free.

i'm also in a different category myself, though. i'm on plus mainly for the discounts. as a lot of the free games given out i usually own already.
 
love to see more psp or vita games.. i mean its been almost the same vita games since last november with rush.uncharted and wipeout...

love to see more psp games coming out instead of the same stuff month after month...

have a code for a free year of psn + but will hold off till june to see what comes out in june cause there isnothing i want... Though if i owned a PS3 the PSN + is worth it big time but for just a VITA owner i dont see much vaule in the PSN +

Yay someone else in plus for the discounts camp! That's all i'm in it for really haha. I have most of the free games but 1 or 2 here and there I don't have is gravy.

those 3 vita titles will hold for the year(or at least until june), just like the set of 3 for ps3 that don't change. those 3 titles alone are more than worth a year of plus, and that's not counting anything else they've given out so far. i think maybe 3 of the vita games given so far sell for under $30. not counting the psn/cross buy titles.

yeah, i'm not sure of the last free plus title i actually downloaded for ps3. demon's souls maybe, even though i have dark souls waiting on the shelf. not counting cross buy downloads with the vita.
 
I would love to see more PS3 games made available for the Instant Game Collection than having any more PSP games. But I'm probably a minority here. I do have a PSP, but stopped buying games for it once the Vita came out, and my PS3 backlog of games that needed to be played was growing.

PS3 games aren't gimped by PSP games like the Vita is, so it seems like a silly and frankly pointless request.
 
I actually wouldn't mind if we never got another psp game, there just not interesting to me and im not gonna play them. I was glad to see we were getting germinator (a small vita game) over a bigger psp game.

I think im probably in the minority on this one though.

If you "purchase" it while it's free, you can do whatever you want with it provided you still have plus.

I agree. I'd be all over some of the "better" psp games that I never got to play. Random rpgs mostly maybe. But, other then that, I'd much rather have almost any vita (or even ps3) game.

same here I still have a psp to play games on and I'm ok with the current mix of vita/psp games. I will be happy if they keep adding more psp games, just as long as they are not all fighters like in previous months.

I'm with you. I have zero use for PSP games since I got a Vita. Probably because I'd rather play a vita trophy game than a regular psp one. I

I'm sorry, but that is just terrible logic. At most, this is a prime example of why Sony should strive for quality and not quantity, especially since we could just as easily see an awful PSP game.

Have you ever considered that not everyone is the same? People like different things. And I enjoy games that use all of what a vita has to offer. I do prefer Vita games over PSP. But there are a very few PSP games I would like to be free or on sale.

Really? I mentioned it a few times in the previous thread. I guess it's a really easy game for everyone to shit on, but I really don't understand why. It's not great, but it was a fun game for 2-3 hours. It was also brand new when PS+ got it, which I really like because it guarantees that nobody already owns the game. Same deal with Zombie Tycoon last month. We're not talking about a blockbuster here, but it's a decent game and something guaranteed new to everyone.

Also, Chronovolt will get more playtime on my Vita than Tekken, Soul Calibur, and that FF Lions game ever will (though part of that is to blame on the genres of those games, not that they're PSP games). I actually did download MegaMan X and I liked it, but not enough to actively play it for more than a few minutes. Be it the trophies, controls, graphics, or just the library to pick from, but PSP games just don't interest me at all. I'd take Nun Attack over 99% of the PSP library.
But to be fair, I'd love if we got Half Minute Hero.

How is my logic off? There are barely any gamez (sorry, vitabros) for Sony to give away. So, unless they're going to dole out all the good stuff (some of which they surprisingly have), what are their options? Again, chronovolt vs. much better psp games. Preferably Kingdom Hearts: BBS. One can dream.

I shouldn't have to couch my opinions in a cloud of "IMO"-esque platitudes every time I post. When I say a game is bad, that isn't to the exclusion of someone else's view. It's fine that @tyler1701 sings chronovolt's praises. He's just the only person I know who feels that way.
 
IIRC Kingdom Hearts BBS isn't even on the PS store (was considering getting a PSP Go at one point, and remember being dismayed I wouldn't be able to play it), so good luck with that:cry:

Personally at the moment I don't care either way since I've never owned a PSP, and haven't bought a Vita yet. So pretty much anything is fuel for the backlog fire when I finally get one, and I kinda have to agree there aren't a ton of great vita games they haven't given free yet. I mean, it would be crazy to give something like Persona 4 when it's one of the only games getting a ton of hype and seemingly selling some units. Good for getting new subs maybe, but I think long run it's not in their best interest. Can't think of to many other vita games off the top of my head.

Either way it doesn't seem like sony is really caring much what people want, at least for US PS+. People can only play so many fighter games:joystick:

To say Chronovolt is worse than all of the PSP games is a huge exaggeration. I've played some some shit on the PSP. I'm playing ChronoBolt it now, and it's far from terrible. Nowhere near great, but it is decent as far as "free" PS+ games go.

Someone mentioned Nun Attack... I bought because it was cheap enough just to see what it was about, and while I'm not mad I got it because it was an easy 100% for trophies, I can't recommend it to anyone beyond that reason. It is terrible boring and repetitive. All you do is swipe the screen...

Oh and to add to the fire for the heck of it, chronovolt was a pretty sad offering imo but that's not to say other's can't like it. Foosball is way more fun in person. More psp games would be fine with me. I'm quite pleased with my internet connection upload and download speeds. Oh and kittens, kittens are cute. That should cover the last few pages! :D

Chronovolt was actually kind of clever, just poorly implemented with a doofy story. The cleverness was impossible to see until later levels though - if they would've had some of the 'fall -> grab key in the air -> rewind time (keeping the key)' type stuff in the beginning people would've been more inclined to give it a shot I think.

Yeah with all the other games I have paid for to play through in my log, a free game has to grab me in the first few minutes of playing. So I probably didn't give it too much of a chance to be honest. But hey it was free lol. Glad others did have fun with it.
 
those talking about wanting more PSP games.... hopefully its better psp games and not awful looking games downloaded 3 so far and 2 of them are blurry messes (same with ps1 classic games ) that if i could get my cash back i would

hope we get some sales on PSP games soon... thinking memorial day ???

just dumped my disgaea 2 umd for 30 shipped and thinking of picking up 1 and 2 off gamestop for 25... but if they would have a 1/2 sale could pick both off PSN for 17.50 (they had them on sale last thanksivign i think for 10 and 15) would rather use psn credit then gamestop) so i can wait)
