Trying to make a last minute decision myself. Probably going with the first 4 you have listed, plus Dragon Master pack, unless someone wants to convince me otherwise. Considered the square Enix pack too, but as of now it is not in my cart.
Thought about the dragon master pack, but when I looked at what was included all I would of actually used was two of the packs, one of which has some duplication with the law enforcement pack, so I skipped all the preorder DLC. I decided to cave and get the square enix pack too since the Deus Ex armor looks cool and apparently it is possible to separate the weapons from the clothing to use it with other clothing.

Hey trophy nuts, has anyone tried to 100% Treasures of Montezuma Blitz? 100 hours man, and that's without a platinum trophy lol.
Hey trophy nuts, has anyone tried to 100% Treasures of Montezuma Blitz? 100 hours man, and that's without a platinum trophy lol.
After my version glitched out I got most of them but still hard

I'be been at 90% for months with 80 hours left to play. Every once in a while I play a few games, but at less than 5 minutes each, it will take an eternity.

God damn...is there somewhere in the game that tells you how much you've played?
Uh-oh. I spent $15 on the Complete Edition.

Sounds like I wasted $15 for sure.
I got it for $15 too, but there were like 3 people online so I got 10 matches quickly. I can't imagine it's easy to find people for it now though.
God damn...is there somewhere in the game that tells you how much you've played?
It's not that bad once you get good at it. With the right setup, a single game takes 20+ minutes (my personal record was 40 minutes and I'm not that good), so you can rack up time fast. And if you check your own profile, you can see your total play time. I forget how you do it, but it tracks all your stats, and most of the trophy related stats are there as well (like most gems in a single chain, how much earned from scratch cards, etc).

Edit: I do have the 100%

Edit 2: I have the 100% in Nikoli's Sudoku V: 12 gem puzzle, and that took me about 110 hours with no platinum as well. Long games like that exist, shrug. I hear PSO is like 200+ hours with no plat as well.
God damn...is there somewhere in the game that tells you how much you've played?
Yeah, its in the "more" area of your stats. Its not a bad game, fun actually at first, and challenging to get the Nuclear Blast trophy for clearing the level. 100 hours is terribly monotonous though.
Bought Virtua Fighter 5 FS for $5 but no one is online...feels like a waste of $5. Thoughts?
Have you tried setting your search to Worldwide? VF5FS has great netcode, so you shouldn't have any problems playing people from around the world. That said, it's still VF5, and the chair joke hasn't quite stopped being true yet. That said, I was almost always able to find players on XBL, though I haven't tested it on PSN because I still haven't bought the game. That deal IS carrying over to next week, right?
I have it thanks to PS+ and I have never check it out.
No, he's talking about Final Showdown. PS+, to my knowledge, never offered FS, only the vanilla disc release of VF5 from 2007. Even if that game wasn't outdated, that release doesn't even have online play to begin with.

While I'm sure that this could be true (based on the fact that the world leaderboards are often topped by people in the 600m+ range), I can't fathom a planet where someone can stretch a tom blitz game out to 40 minutes. I think my average 'good' game length might be 4-5 minutes or so and I don't think I'm the worst player on the planet - what's the proper bonus setup to pull that off? Or is there some sneaky trick to it?

I think I'm at something like 53 hours playing - I just play a handful of games nightly. Sometime in 2014 I'll probably hit 100 hours. I do like playing it though.
So wait, are they really giving us a discount on Germinator when it was free last week:whee:
Ps3 version is on sale, bundle as well.
Last day for sleeping dogs DLC so I guess I am going with:
Nightmare in Northpoint
Year of the Snake
Zodiac Tournament
Wheels of Fury
Swat Pack
Law Enforcers Pack
I picked up Year Of The Snake and Zodiac Tournament last week and finished them. Both are pretty short, but I was happier with Zodiac, which was much more fun. I also liked that the cut scenes seem to imitate the Shaw Brothers films of the 70s.

I wouldn't pay full price for either of them, but it is a decent value at the sale price.

It's weird, but at least it wasn't the other way around.

I'd imagine that most people would be fine if we knew about it hitting PS+ up front. Then again, I can't really imagine what the average response of a PS Blog commenter would think since a lot of things seem to be great offenses to some of those people.
It's weird, but at least it wasn't the other way around.
Indeed, I know a lot of people got burned by similar discounts of games that were offered free in a week or 2

Lesson is, NEVER buy a PSN game at full price. Wait for discount at the very least if you cant wait for chance for it to go free

Hoping for FC3:Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez Gunslinger to go on sale (both are ubisoft games so chances are theyll go together)

That certainly seems to be the trend. One should never buy a PSN game at full price.

Re: Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez. If you own a Xbox360 you can pick them up for $5 a piece (1200M$ points trick).

Discount is for ps3 version which is not free for plus, and the bundle that has both versions

I don't remember my longest game but I think it is somewhere around 5 minutes. From the start, after leveling up all the totems, I was trying to get the nuclear blast trophy. With orange and purple totems, if you concentrate on getting the orange bonuses, and if the purple ones give you time bonuses, you could go forever. Not for me though. I'm lucky to get 2 1/2 minutes and 100mil most games.
Is the DLC for Soul Sacrifice suppose to drop today?
yeah, it's supposed to. looking forward to that more than free blazblu.
yeah, it's supposed to. looking forward to that more than free blazblu.
That's what I thought. Thanks.

I really want to get into some Blazblue later today, but that 3gb size is a killer. I'll need to beat a few more games on my vita to make some room first. Soul Sacrifice dlc sounds awesome even though I'm still on the last dungeon on P4 Golden and haven't started SS yet haha. Metro Last Light and life in general keep getting in the damn way!

I'm curious too... My longest match is around 5 minutes. I always figured there was some higher strata of playing I was totally oblivious to with this game, but I've still enjoyed the 25 hours I've put into it. I still need the "clear the board" trophy too.
I'm gonna try to kill a large chunk of my backlog this summer.
Good luck soldier, I lost that war years ago. :wall:

i have a huge backlog myself and the only way I can make myself finish the backlog is either doing a boring game commentary for it or just stream myself playing the game till completion. Of course, now I have about 2 TB HDD filled up with footage, but my backlog it's slimming down a bit. Now I am fucked since the whole xbox live points fiasco and now I am adding more games to my backlog. Oh god, I just bought Dark Souls with DLC....... someone help me!!!

Do yourself a favor and do not upgrade to next gen right away. Also, get rid of all the games you don't think you'll play within the next year. That's my plan right now but then again I bought enough xbox live points to last me until the end of next year... so we shall see.

Zodiac was really cool. And it added nearly half a bar for the triad upgrades. Without it I would have probably needed to play another half dozen missions to get to level 10.

The problem is that I am mainly digital so I have backlog in the digital section. My backlog is the physical is about 10 games. Digital........ 300 or so because I have Steam, xbox 360, and PS3. I just complete Resident Evil: Revelation and just starting on Sleeping Dog. ..... good times.....
I'm gonna try to kill a large chunk of my backlog this summer.
I am trying to get through mine now too. I have made some decent progress in the last couple of weeks. Avoiding buying anything else when I see a deal is the hardest part it seems. I did decide to cancel Gamefly and use my last gift certificate I have later since I was only playing rentals for a while and not touching the backlog. That has helped more than anything else.
The biggest, for me, was learning when to stop playing a game I'm not enjoying
Backlog disintegrated at that point and I enjoy gaming much more npw
This is very important to remember. Especially with free plus games. If your not really liking the game, just stop and delete it and dont look back. I love dual stick shooters, but could not stomach slogging through Zombie Apocalypse. So I just said fuck it. Deleted it from the HDD and felt better. A few days later I felt like trying it again, but then looked at all the games I had and thought better of it.

i used to be a mega trophy whore, taking extra time to find dumb worthless collectibles and spending hours scouring the map for these things. now I play a game to enjoy it. I even find myself playing demon's souls now even though I platted it years ago and I have a few unplayed games sitting on my shelf now.

I'm hoping the next gen releases help with my backlog. I didn't get into this generation until 2009 and plan to wait a similar amount of time for the next generation. (Except I know I'm gonna cave on a PS4 within the first year, especially if it has full Remote Play support).

An easy way to trim your backlog is to figure out which games are short and bang those out in quick succession, which is good for the morale. Don't focus on going through in a specific order, because then bottlenecks occur.
I say that every year. Good luck.
Well, I'm not going to return to work until the end of summer, I am not too interested in many games coming out, and I'm going to try and be as efficient as possible. I don't expect to destroy it completely, I just want to take a big chunk out of it.

anybody have a list of short games for the PS+ games?

Sleeping Dogs DLC is now full price. I feel good for not binging on all the DLC. The Zodiac tournament is good enough for me. I'm sure it'll all be on sale again relatively soon in the future.

PSN + is just the monthly thing and not games right

or is download games called PSN +

trying to see if i could go to gamestop and just buy a download and get 30% extra using the PSN + offer
anybody have a list of short games for the PS+ games?
Do you mean of what's available right now or from a certain point onward?

I'd probably suggest The Cave, Labyrinth Legends, Malicious, and Zombie Tycoon II as games that aren't all that long to get through if you're not bad at them.

PS+ gets you the games, discounts, cloud save storage, and automatic update features.
