Was very happy to find that out. I saw an article regarding this a couple days ago, and that supposedly if you had already bought the PS3 version early on, you would get the vita version. But still, I was skeptical, until I actually tried it, and it was free!

Looks like you can also get a Beyond theme for 'pre registering' at their virtual E3, a dynamic Last of Us theme (and Destiny theme) for doing some stuff. And a couple free mobiles. This will be the first time I actually open PS Home, so well played Sony.

P.S. Protip for anyone on the fence about signing up for PS+, make sure you sign up _before_ they announce the new long term games so you don't miss out on getting the current long term games.

A few holy shits for CAG 3.0's inaugural debut:

  • Holy shit at this new design. I really like it. Black text on lighter backgrounds is actually much easier on the eye (hence why 99% of text heavy websites/forums/news sites adopt this standard).
  • Holy shit at the Orcs & God Eater bait & switch. Bad Sony, bad!
  • Holy shit at the Last of Us critical acclaim. Good Sony, good!
  • Holy shit at Pinball Arcade still not working on vita.

1- No, it's not actually easier on the eyes, 99% use it as standard because it resembles print, which is usually on a white background.

2- God Eater is a cool game. I already have the UMD, but with digital I'll be playing on my Vita :)

Well they announced Orc Attack, then Paul on the PS Blog noted that they removed it in the first comment on the PS+ update post, but did an awful job of actually removing the mentions of it in the post.

I think Morgan got back to work and took care of everything and confirmed that Orc Attack was gone and we'd be getting God Eater Burst in it's place.

Is that what you're asking about?

I'm having a hard time too. It worked out getting Tomb Raider when I did though since Amazon had that extra $20 trade in deal I got $54 back for it when I was done. It got a lot of 100s...this will be hard.

I keep contemplating updating my PS3 hard drive, my 120GB is full but then I keep thinking how many games can I actually play at once anyway? I guess it would be nice to see them all lined up but I'm trying to talk myself out of that as well.

Well, from my understanding, darker text on a lighter background is indeed much easier to read. When I took a design class, this was one of the first things we learned. It's a pretty fairly agreed upon notion. I'm not doubting that there's the added benefit of it closely resembling print, but why would non-news sites be concerned with that?

Too late, I already did at Best Buy (for the $20 RZ Gamers Unlocked promo).

Think that happened when they announced if you pre-ordered the season pass for the single player bonuses. Which I did as well.

 
There's so much work to do with my threads and the site's broken enough to make it take ten times longer. The CAG links in the OP are all broken now and the custom spoiler tags that I just added the other day are broken. :whistle2:(

I almost cancelled that preorder with newegg ($45 shipped) along with some others... glad i didn't (but did cancel Remember Me, so I'm doing alright).

By the by, Germinator just isn't that bad. The duel mode is pretty fun. The seeming randomness of the scoring can be frustrating, but I really expected much worse based on people's reactions here.

Is it possible that Last of Us is really that good? It's rare that reviews catch my interest, but I've read a couple today and it really seems like a different game than I expected. I was rooting for Remember Me to not suck, it's interesting to see the variety in metacritic scores. Looking forward to picking it up someday.

I don't think that will be an issue, as I posted a link to the full PSN update here that has the old title before I eventually changed it and it still works. Old links to CAG threads and posts are busted though.

 
Ah crap, the asterisk system I used to denote new items, expiring items, etc. is washed out by the bright skin, so I need to come up with something new. I have an idea for how to fix it.

Ion Assault HD -- worth $1.99? I can't totally tell what it is... would a dual stick shooter fanatic like it?

yes, i think it's possible. It's supposedly by the team that did Uncharted 2 (not Uncharted 3), and it's towards the very end of the generation meaning they've gotten to the point where they're tapping the console's limits (in a good way). No game is for everyone, but I have to give Uncharted it's due -- the first one was the first game this gen to remind me how fun games could be, and the sequel is an unabashed masterpiece. So... yea, The Last of Us could easily be 'that good'. We already know they should have gaming mechanics down due to Uncharted, plus they added survival horror elements and crafting (done well, according to reviews), and everybody is saying the plot/story/characters are spot on. All signs point to it'll be amazing.

It's a decent shooter. I believe it's sort of dual-stick, but that was from the time I played the XBLA version ages ago. I could record some footage of that version if you want to see it in action first.

 
Since CAG 3.0 destroyed the normal deal chatter, I wanted to note that many of Namco's games on PSN, old and new, got permanent price drops. That's great for their PSN and PSP stuff that are much cheaper despite being way old.

Too bad IATCG isn't still around, I'm pretty sure he'd be flipping his lid about the Arcade Hits 5 in 1 mini being on sale.

Also, glad to see Katamari down to $15.  Now if it goes on sale 50% or more it will finally be at a reasonable price.

EDIT:Oh, also, I won a copy of Quell: Memento on Reddit today from the developer, so I'm going to try it out tonight and I'll post a few impressions.  

Also, I've been banned from posting for the next 30 minutes because I post too much I guess.  I think CAG is politely telling me to shut the fuck up!

The OP is fully updated now. I still have some work to do to fix some of the rougher spots due to CAG 3.0 changes. Let me know what you think of the replacement system for asterisks in the OP.

New system is much better, though until the dark theme comes out I can't really make out most of them alongside the game title. Everything is just to darn bright :headache:

 
was able to find a    VITA memory card  for 65 bucks and got it today.     I thought if you  changed memory cards you had to  REDOWNLOAD everything off psn.. i just copied it all to my  pc and then  copied it back to the   new  vita card... if i knew it was this easy i think i would of just stuck with the 8 gb i had....

still got  18gb  left free on my card but at least  will never need another card   ( since i still have the 8gb)

The color shouldn't be much of a factor anymore since I'm using letters to represent those items, so just memorize what the letters mean and you'll be good to go.
