Anyone in this thread want my Killzone Mercenary Beta code or my free 30 day trial of PS+ code?  Keep in mind that the PS+ code absolutely positively does not stack with current PS+ subscriptions, so please only ask for it if you aren't currently a PS+ member.

PM me if you want it.

EDIT: Everything gone.

If you have any interest in The Unfinished Swan, now is the time to buy as the devs will be finding out soon if Sony is green lighting their next game. I don't know if additional sales at this point will affect the decision, but they can't hurt.

So, just recently got a Vita, so noob question. Does the PS plus stuff update another day? Thought God Eater and Zero Escape would be up today with the rest of the stuff.
OP said the vita stuff ususally does not come out till the final week of the month.. so hopefully next week for god and the following week for zero

EDIT: Comment redacted to avoid long winded off topic discussion and possibly getting nuked by a mod lol.  :censored:

Does anyone have thoughts on all this DLC?  I haven't started Dishonored yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it and will want this DLC once I finish it, but if some CAGs know something I don't about all of it, I'd appreciate it if you could share!

I'm just going to leave this here for the lols:

This is from an interview from Microsoft's Don Mattrick. Basically, this makes me want to buy a f'ing PS4 day one just to give a big middle finger to MS. Man reading that pissed me off.

Sorry, but I had to blow off some steam. On a happier note, started playing 999 on ds to get ready for Virtue's Last Reward and I can't wait now.
I also find it funny that One fans are saying, yeah it's $100 more but it has Kinect. Funny because I remember defending my ps3 over 360 cause it had built in bluray, big hard drive, free Internet, free Internet adapter and other things the 360 required as separate purchases but people still thought made it cheaper. Of course the ps4 is still cheaper cause the eye is $59 and still makes the entire comparable ps4 package cheaper than One.
If I'm not mistaken, xbox one also includes a year of Gold.

I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere, and if it is true, it's only true for the Day One edition. I don't personally think it's true, and it's not listed in the Amazon description.

The one I saw for the day one edition had a 14 day XBL membership, not a year.

It's amazing how much Microsoft's attitude sounds like Sony when Sony was introducing the PS3.
What's really amazing is how their marketing team didn't look back at the last console launch to see what they should/shouldn't emulate. All they had to do was go hmm...that didn't work out too well for Sony. Guess we shouldn't repeat that mistake.

Sorry if this is been asked, but I have the disk version of uncharted GOTY, should I trade it in? Or do I need to keep it to keep all the downloadable content. I already redeemed the vouchers.thanks

I don't think the backlash will be as big as it seems on the Internet. Few people will take their ball and go home because of this. Hell, Microsoft is the only one in the history of gaming to charge for online play - I can't imagine that was popular when it was first introduced, and they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves with Xbox Live Gold.

the dlc is already in your system then so you're good. But I would personally just keep the disk itself since the digital version UC3 is well over 40 gig.

The policies that they have in place for the Xbox One I don't agree with or like at all. However, none of them would really affect me personally. I'm just angry at how disrespectful and snobbish his comment is to the general consumer. Saying that if you can't or won't get online then you can buy a last generation product from us is basically saying go buy a PS4 if you want to play next gen. It's like Sony's PR department can just take a vacation and let Microsoft do all the work for them.

Void Walker's arsenal are just preorder bonuses packaged together. Nothing game breaking, but would make things easier.

Dunwall City Trials are non-story time trials. Might be fun if you really enjoyed navigating the world.

Knife of Dunwall is story DLC from the point of view of a different character. Tweaks the character powers a little. Fairly long.

IMHO, Knife of Dunwall is only one worth purchasing.

Well it makes some sense, they're in the position that Sony was coming into the current gen riding high on the PS2. Meanwhile Sony's where MS was having gone through a generation where they had successes and a genuinely good console but was marred by weird design and strategy.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this sort of stuff needs to be posted here. If you really want to discuss that stuff, there are dedicated Xbox One and PS4 threads in their respective forums that would be a better fit than a thread about deals on games and stuff on PSN. I'm not attacking you or trying to make an example of you or anything like that, but I wanted to see what the general opinions of viewers here are on this sort of thing since the whole console war thing is only going to get worse from here on out.

I'm fine with the off-topic stuff as long as things turn around to on-topic in a reasonable amount of time, but I don't want this thread to become some sort of bunker for people to lob attacks and such at Microsoft and/or their audience like this thread should only be used by fanboys.

Namco announced two Pac-Man related news for XBLA, PSN, & other downloadable services:

1.) Pac-Man CE DX is getting a free update called "DX+" this summer that adds "improved leaderboard functionality, in-game achievements and medals, as well as access to additional DLC mazes, music and graphics including classic DIG DUG and RALLY-X sprites".

2.) Pac-Man Museum will be a downloadable collection of old and new Pac-Man games, including the arcade-only Battle Royale, later this winter.

Right, and you would think they would have looked at how well that worked out for Sony for the first few years of the PS3.

Sorry Frisky. I didn't try to come off as a fanboy or that only sony people are allowed in here. Hell, I love my 360 and my games just like my PS3. My comment was directed more at the actions of their company's PR than the console itself.

But I agree with you though, I shouldn't have brought my rant about it on here. I was actually thinking about that after I made my posts but it was too late then.

Let's respect Frisky's thread guys and end the discussion on it here. :)

I can't believe they're still supporting CE DX. It's an awesome game for sure. I hope that the Museum includes some form of Pac Man Vs from the gamecube, I used to spend hours playing that with a friend.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC? I haven't put a lot of time into it yet, but will be soon, so I'm not entirely sure if some weapons and/or story DLC is worth the purchase or not since it seems unlikely a GOTY will be coming to the states.

it's a permanent drop, so no need to decide now.

I think the story DLC is worth it at the sale price. I paid for it all up front when it got released and don't feel like I got my money's worth out of it. The costume and weapon stuff is cool but entirely optional of course. If anything I would just get the costume you like for each character and avoid the weapon dlc.

EDIT: Nevermind it's a perm drop not a sale price. Thanks NinjaSquirrel.

Agreed. It's not like anyone is being a fanboy or obnoxious or rude about it at all. It's just there are more appropriate places for discussions like this to take place, like you said.

Should I get Unfinished Swan?
I'm wondering that as well. It's beautiful and the trailer music is lovely but I'm not quite sure what to actually make of it. That and Men's Room Mayhem are sitting in my cart as I waffle.
I absolutely adored Unfinished Swan, and can't recommend it highly enough! It's unique, beatiful, overwhelmingly charming, and short enough that you can finish it in one sitting, and replay again whenever you feel like it. To me it's one of the top 10 PSN games, and totally worth the price. That said, the people I can see not enjoying it are those that dislike the sort of "art house" games, which are more about the experience that the actual gameplay. If that sounds like you (hint: did you enjoy Journey?), then you might not like it, but for everyone else I would say it's a must buy! :bouncy:

You guys need to stop mentioning Men's Room Mayhem before my curiosity takes the better of me and downloads it haha. I know I don't need another casual game or will even play it that much...but the sheer ludicrousy of it compels me.

I think Unfinished Swan is a beautiful game and piece of art. But like NinjaSquirrel said it caters to a certain type of gamer, so think about it before your purchase.

I have to highly recommend The Unfinished Swan. It's a great adventure game, sort of, that tells a really cool children's book-style story. The mechanics change constantly throughout the story so that it's not just the same thing over and over again.

Here's a video I recorded of the first 20 minutes or so that shows the quick evolution of that mechanic that early in the game:

It's unique, beatiful, overwhelmingly charming, and short enough that you can finish it in one sitting, and replay again whenever you feel like it. To me it's one of the top 10 PSN games, and totally worth the price. That said, the people I can see not enjoying it are those that dislike the sort of "art house" games, which are more about the experience that the actual gameplay. If that sounds like you (hint: did you enjoy Journey?), then you might not like it, but for everyone else I would say it's a must buy! :bouncy:
So it's one of those non-game games. Having only had a PS3 for a short period I haven't gotten to Journey yet (hoping for a good price on the physical copy) but it's high on my list. Enjoyed 30 Flights of Loving a lot though which is that similar sort of deal where it's more of an experience than a game.

Well, it is only a dollar still which is why I think I'm going to cave on it.

I'm highly biased because The Unfinished Swan was made by a very good friend of mine, and I bought a PS3 to play the game. That said, I found it genuinely moving. And while short, it's very much a game. You engage with rule sets and proceed through (relatively simple) puzzle situations. It's artistically done but I think it falls squarely on the game side of the game/art divide, to the extent that you believe in that distinction.

Also, a bit of a spoiler about the voice talent that seems to not have gotten much press but I thought was a cool touch:
The king is voiced by Terry Gilliam
.

If you are asking for opinions on OT stuff, I will weigh in. Frankly I think a lot of people around here are too up tight about it. It would be one thing if people's on topic posts were being buried between tons of irrelevant ones, but that never happens in my observation. I think of this thread more as a community than a place to report PSN deals. I know if I ever bring up OT stuff (such as this DRM/used game stuff) its only because I want your guys take on it as opposed to "strangers" in the correct thread. I actually went to the official XBOne thread to talk about this stuff and it was basically a cesspool of fanboys/idiots. I'll just stick around here...

Edit: And on topic, I was underwhelmed by Unfinished Swan for $15, but $3.75 is a great price for it.
