Couldnt resist Hot Shots Golf, also brought the 3 Toy Story costume packs for LBP since they are getting removed next week. (I remember the Incredibles got removed, and never came back and took me forever to get)

I went back to the TV world constantly to grind and get more personas but I see your point.
The ratio will depend on your objectives in terms of compendium and quest completion, for sure, but I feel as though Tartarus did a better job of competing with the story for attention, because it has more levels, if I remember correctly; the fatigue mechanism forces you to pace yourself and visit Tartarus regularly; and having checkpoints only on certain levels means that you're likely to have to spend time traversing levels twice.

I think I'll pick up both ZoE games. Cheaper than amazon/gs. I heard the recent patch fixed a lot of technical issues, am I right?

Yeah the Toy Story content is supposed to be gone forever come August 1 and that includes the level kit.

Hot Shots I would grab in a heartbeat after Tiger Direct cancelled my order when they had it for $8, if it was cross buy.

I believe it was just the first game that had issues and the patch was supposed to bring the frame rate back up to where it should have been.

Would anyone recommend Odin Sphere to someone who really hates beat-em-ups, but loves RPGs? I know y'all have already said Odin Sphere is more of an RPG...

$1 is not going to put you that far back, is it buddy? I picked up Critter Crunch as well. I was watching the video trailer for it on the PSN store when my wife walks in and said, "How cute? What is that?" Sold....

Bah, PSN is emptying my wallet XD. Just brought Critter Crunch

Agreed! Picked up the Prince of Persia collection then for $8. What a fantastic deal! Would have purchased the Ratchet and Clank collection as well, but I already have a disc copy of it. I would definitely wait for the Splinter Cell collection to go on sale below $10 before picking it up.

Also consider that we've gotten the Ratchet and Clank and Prince of Persia collections for $7.50 and $8 respectively within the last month so paying anywhere near $20 for games that I don't think have held up nearly as well is too much in my eyes. Shame the Tom Clancy sale isn't deeper cuts because there are things I wouldn't mind grabbing but at a fraction of those prices.

And it has couch co op I believe, you two can play together, going to buy this when I get home too

Anyone have Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD and care to share opinions? I already have 1 and 3 on PC but Pandora was never added on steam. Would I get the same or better experience just playing them in a higher resolution on PC? Did they redo the cutscenes or are they still low res and bad looking?

Also, it's $2.80 cheaper on Amazon.

I have to disagree. Tartarus clashed with the flow of the story in negative ways that makes it easy for some people to just stop altogether, whereas Persona 4 offers a style of dungeons that fits the serial nature of the story and makes it feel like less of a chore when a new dungeon pops up. The lack of visual variety in Tartarus and the checkpoints just added to this overwhelming feeling of the dungeon crawling being more tedious than it should've been. Persona 4 fixed those major mistakes while still keeping most of the things that were great.

I agree that Tartarus feels oppressive, overwhelming, and unchanging, but I liked that. To me, these characteristics of Tartarus gave it a sort of personality and cast a menacing shadow over the rest of the game, which fits with the darker tone of Persona 3.

I guess my appreciation for Tartarus ties into my preference for the somber mood of Persona 3. I found Persona 4 to be a bit too upbeat and cheerful notwithstanding how drab and foggy Inaba is.

Not sure how you figure Amazon is more expensive than PSN...Amazon has it at $23 for both games, I believe PSN has it at $30 at the moment.

Anyways, haven't played them since the patch, but GameFAQs seems to be happy with the patch.

Yeah, personality is not a word that I'd use to describe Tartarus. It felt like lazy design and Persona 4 showed that they learned a lot from their mistakes in Persona 3, especially with the Reaper that was just punishment for wanting to play through that part of the game as quickly as possible.

I wouldn't really describe Persona 4 as upbeat or cheerful at all, though I could see it leaning more in that direction at first than Persona 3 because you get to see the state of this town before the murders happen and things devolve from there. Persona 3 pretty much starts after that stuff has begun, so it's sort of this ongoing thing that is why the group was started.

Very interesting that they'd price ZoE 1 at $10 and ZoE 2 at $20.  Pretty smart move, I guess, since I've heard that ZoE 2 is exponentially better.

No not really. The game is pure side scrolling beat em up with some RPG aspects. It's really great and worth $5 easy, but if you don't enjoy that style of play I cannot see you getting into it.

Remember that crazy odin sphere gameplay mechanic with the different letters assigned to so many different potions.

I had to print up a chart on how to mix and which is which potion.

and those lame levels that required potions at the start, like using a warm potion on the ice level or cooling potion on the lava levels or you would constantly take damage. that was so wonky.

and i always hated those stupid wizards/slimes, especially in that city, that could only be killed if you used the correct potion or reflected their attacks back at them. crazy game. and using those restaurants over and over just to gain more hp/etc. i loved that bunny jump sword spin move tho. brings back memories. that would have been a great game to have trophies put in, lol. ooooh and godhand....

The Reaper only appears if you do the opposite of what you're saying. If you blow through floors you'll never see him. If you linger on the same floor for too long, he appears.

FIFA 13 makes sense since FIFA 14 comes out in September.
We still have not heard officially if its coming to the vita though? You guys think it will be crossbuy?

I'd almost guarantee that FIFA 14 doesn't make it to the Vita. And no, it wouldn't be cross buy based on the fact that none of the EA sports games that are actually on Vita are crossbuy.
I'm an idiot.

http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/06/10/fifa-14-headed-to-ps4-ps3-ps-vita-psp-and-more-madden-nfl-25-is-a-ps4-and-xbox-one-launch-title/

http://www.gamestop.com/ps-vita/games/fifa-14/109187

That being said, I'm still nearly positive it won't be cross buy. Also, we've got 2 versions of FIFA on Vita already, do we need a 3rd? Why can't we get an NHL game or a Tiger Woods game instead?

You're going to pass on a game that you would have otherwise bought because after being out four months on another platform they released DLC for it and then thought that their new customers on another platform might like the option to buy it on day one?
I never said I was going to pass on the game completely. It's just not on the top of my list to get. As I said in my last sentence, I have a backlog (like everyone else on here basically). I can wait for a deeper discount on the game (and DLC price) since I'm not needing it day one to play. DuckTales I want to play right away, not all the others. So I can keep the money in my pocket until the other games go on sale at a lower price or PSN+ and play them then. Don't need all the games to just sit there unplayed and then go on sale and waste money... already have enough unplayed as it is.

Picked up Splinter Cell Essentials for $5.  Thanks for posting it.  It got panned, but it's Splinter Cell on a portable and on the Vita, the controls are slightly better.  Well worth $5 IMO

I haven't seen anyone mentioning this- I was looking through SEN and the new course for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational- Northern Fox Course (normally $2.99) is coming up free. I was able to download and confirm that cross-buy does apply.

The people behind Guacamelee are giving out codes for the new DLC on Twitter today. I just scored one for myself. Looks like they'll be doing it all day. @DrinkBoxStudios is the handle to follow.

My OCD cant help it....

Rocksmith - "Jeremy" by Peal Jam - $1.99 - 33% Off N
Oh man I am so tempted to drop money in a ton of those songs, especially the megadeth ones, which I probably would never be able to master(just started playing about 2 months ago), but the rocker in me keeps dreaming.

No not really. The game is pure side scrolling beat em up with some RPG aspects. It's really great and worth $5 easy, but if you don't enjoy that style of play I cannot see you getting into it.
On the PSN it says PS3, but does the game also work with the Vita? If that's the case I'm down, otherwise I might pass (Sorry if this was asked already!!!)

what makes the difference between the 2 persona 2 for the psp.. is one of them better...
It's a two part game actually with Innocent Sin (the first half) never being released in NA until like two years ago as a PSN title for PSP. I haven't personally played them so I can't speak to what you're missing by not playing both parts but they must be reasonably self-contained since you could only play Eternal Punishment here for over a decade unless you imported Innocent Sin.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/11/999-for-ios-will-be-localized-into-english/

Not sure if it's been localized yet, but it's basically just the story with no puzzles.

Apparently 999 was released for iOS in Japan... however it is not actually the game. It is just the story. Of course if it takes 2 hours to get out of the first room, I think I'd rather just read the story! LOL! It is slated to be localized and released in the US, but it hasn't been yet:

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/11/999-for-ios-will-be-localized-into-english/
I still hope this version of 999 makes it to the PSN/SEN at the very least. I highly recommend Playstation Plus members to grab this while it is still being offered for free. Less than a week left.

Has anyone heard when the discount for Earth Defense Force for the vita will end?
If I had a Vita and $20 right now. I so would be getting this. I traded in my 360 copy of EDF when I heard about Vita version being released.

Everyday Shooter & Critter Crunch are now 99 cents each.
I remember paying like $10 for the PSP version. I think I might get the PS3 version just to be able to use both of a Dual Shock 3's thumb sticks. Not sure about Critter Crunch, might have to watch some videos/reviews on it.

I think I might get Odin Sphere. I missed out the last time it was on sale in hopes of finding a cheap disc copy. Thinking about getting Persona 4 Golden at $20, but I was thinking about getting the PS2 version since I don't have a Vita yet.
