Ok, Dokuro folks...I'm attempting this no damage trophy for stage 14. I can do all bosses with no issues, except the second one. He's the chef guy that you have to hit the bell to pull towards you. I'm having no issues dodging him, but eventually he just does some unavoidable garbage where he pulls me in and eats me, killing me instantly. Happens every time I get him to about half health. Any tips?

Really need to stop buying any big games for the PC or PS3 backlog. Seems like PS+ gets stuff right after I buy it! This probably means Tomb Raider will eventually be a PS+ offering too.

i gave up on sony long ago, all they do is piss all over the vita on the ps+ side and dont really expect them to do much at all with the vita until the PS4 comes out..

hopefully a real usa retail release vita hits in SEPT but it wont. my kindle and 3ds will get more play time then my vita anyways and what the hell is up with all of the crap apps LOL (Joking)
Considering PS+ was only for the PS3 and not specifically for the Vita there's no reason to bitch every month. Sony added Vita to the line up to make it better for the IGC. If nothing satisfies you for the subscription then PLEASE DON'T RENEW.

You should buy stock in MIDOL!

He's never done that to me so maybe you're staying next to him for too long? When I bring him in close enough to hit him, I only go for a quick combo and then I back away. The only attacks I've ever seen from him are a knife swipe, the sending fish or whatever at you, and the pepper thing.

I think slidecage secretly likes golden showers and that's why he "complains" about getting pissed on every week.

Weren't you just complaining about getting fighters over and over and now you want four months of pinball?!
Huh? I'm saying we might get 4 different versions of Star Wars Pinball this month.

Hit him a couple times and back up. You're standing to close to him.

the chef is the easiest one!

if you stand behind the bell, his main attacks can't hit you.

so, ring bell.

after his cleaver attack (and only his cleaver attack), run in, and get a combo in.

retreat and ring bell.

if he does his pepper attack (if a cloud touches you it pulls you in and you die) make sure to stay extra back, because every once in awhile there's a super slow cloud angled at you way more than normal. it's super easy to avoid, though i got hit once being silly and running into one of the odd slow clouds once.

Next month it will be Sony really "SHITS" on their fans.

Glad to be getting Bit Trip Runner 2 and will take Machinarium for the Vita. Even though I played it already on PS3 getting on the Vita will be nice.

Unrelated.. does Ibb and Obb require two players? Or is there an option for AI controlled partners/switching characters on the fly?
Didn't see this question answered, there is a single player option that lets you control one character with one stick and the other character with the 2nd stick according to one of the linked reviews. In multiplayer the second stick servers a similar function to the *chirp* button in Journey, you can point to things to try and assist your partner if they don't know what to do.

So wait a second....for Plus are we getting SW tables for ZP2 or are we getting the standalone SW-pinball?
Both. It's a four-way Cross Buy item. Buying it (or getting it free -- lucky you) entitiles you to get it in ZP2 for the PS3 and Vita and in SW Pinball for the PS3 and Vita. And it's really, really stupid that they did that SW Pinball title in the first place as it adds nothing to the experience (except extra trophies); but then again, you can totally ignore the SW Pinball aspect of the title and just enjoy it as ZP2 DLC if you like.

PS1 Rayman is hard as fuck.
I haven't played it since it came out but that's pretty much how I remember it. If I recall, there were some blind jumping parts that ultimately made me put it down... if the camera had been pulled out just a tad more I don't think it would have been an issue.

I'm not that excited for the lineup this month, but I need to check out BTR2. I never gave it any attention and some of the praise its getting here has me intrigued.

EDIT: Okay, watched a vid... looks fun. I have to point out that the menu art style looks as if it was pulled straight out of a Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about earlier. My guess is we're getting both, since they're cross-buy with one another.

I don't believe you can play through the full game single player though. There is a separate "bonus" single player portion added to the game, but the bulk of the game must be played in co-op. That was my understanding at least.

Does anyone know the file size of Hitman Absolution? The web store lists it at 16.1GB, but it can't possibly be that big, can it?

You're right. The web store just likes to Shaq-Fu with people and list random made-up file sizes. It's really only 1.21 gigawatts.

Both. You buy one and get the other with it.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/05/07/star-wars-pinball-standalone-hits-psn-next-week-new-features-detailed/

Now you’re probably wondering, “Why did I buy this for Zen Pinball 2 when I could have bought a game with different features?” Don’t worry, young Padawan, we thought about that too. If you’ve already bought the tables in Zen Pinball 2, you are entitled to download Star Wars Pinball at no charge! This means you can unlock the tables in Zen Pinball 2 and in Star Wars Pinball with one purchase – and both games are Cross Buy entitled with Vita, so if you’re huge Star Wars fans like us, you can have the game under four different roofs for the price of one.

Here are some of the cool features (ultimately the reasons we did a standalone game) that we could not include in Zen Pinball 2, but are in Star Wars Pinball:

  • You can choose to support the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance! Once you do, your high scores contribute to the side you choose, creating a Star Wars Pinball community fight for the Balance of the Force! The main game user interface will change dynamically, based on how the community chooses to support each side. You can see who is winning the overall battle at www.starwarspinball.com.
  • An XP progression system allowing you to move up the ranks based on Galactic Empire or Rebel Alliance support.
  • The game looks, sounds, and is authentic Star Wars!

Guys, the good news is that eventually they're going to run out of PSP fighting games to give out for free. Then if we still all have PS Plus in 2024, we can all rejoice that we're no longer getting PSP fighting games.

And they have to give us PSP games because the Vita only has like 10 games because half of the digital titles on the store don't count because I really need to defend this poor argument to the death. Has anyone seen my dead horse? I think I need to beat it.
Heh - I could care less for PSP fighting games (or, really, most PSP games in general - I have tons on UMD that I never played). But despite the sparse library of Vita games I've gotten quite a bang for my buck out of PS+. I'd say in the last several months I've gotten more play from the Vita freebies than the PS3 ones. I played through Uncharted and then just a few days ago finished VLR (after playing 999). Those are incredible games and I thank PS+ for spurring me to play 999 (and of course VLR). Without PS+, 999 might have ended up on my permanent backlog like the Phoenix Wright games and so many others "cult classics" that I hear about so much on CAG but never find the time to play. And last night I just started in on Disgaea 3 (another series for which I have bought nearly all the games but never played any of them) - and Dokuro looks pretty good too. Besides a little Animal Crossing New Leaf (and soon Pikmin 3) I've been Vita-exclusive lately ;).

Oh yeah, Star Wars Pinball and Machinarium are just icing on the cake. I bought Machinarium on PS3 a while back but have yet to play it - will probably do so when it is free on the Vita. And I'm glad I held off on Star Wars pinball (nearly pulled the trigger on that when it came out).

Point is, it's disingenuous to say there's 140+ games for them to give away. It's not nitpicking to say Cliff Diving and Jetpack Joyride aren't gonna be on PS+. Nobody is whining, I was just saying it's getting easier to guess what will be on PS+ which is true.
You seem to have a problem reading, as I didn't say there were 140 games to give away. I specifically noted that there were free games and bundles that wouldn't obviously count.

They've given away 17 Vita games so far, not counting PSP games, and there are 143 Vita games in the Vita's PS Store, which includes free-to-play games and a bundle or two. There are plenty of games to give away and more are added to the potential list almost every week.
You just want to nitpick everything to death, so that's all I want to say on the subject.

999 Pages, woo-hoo!
Pretty sad that I sat here refreshing to try and be the first post of page 1000 and no one's said anything.
Somewhat on topic I can't decide to order Xillia before the window to get it tomorrow closes or hope it shows up on AWD.

Edit- I also realized through typing that statement that the PSN store isn't updating because it's Monday...

I've done some searching on Google and can't find this answer anywhere, so I'm hoping one of you CAG geniuses can help me-

Is it possible to upload PSP game saves to the cloud through PS+ if you played/saved the game on your Vita? I finished the PSP game Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines on my Vita yesterday and would like to delete the game off of my memory card to save space, but I'm assuming that if I delete the game I also delete my save file? I don't see the option to upload the save in the Content Manager app like all regular Vita games, so I'm guessing this is not possible.

Thanks!
Anybody?

I can't be the only one in this thread who wants to know this, especially with all of these AMAZING PSP fighters we keep getting through PS+ that are able to be played on our Vita's... :)

No, but you can easily back up the save from a PSP or Vita to your PS3 and from there to a USB drive for more back-up options or just straight to a PC if you want.

To answer your original posts, saves for PSP games, Minis, and PS1 Classics are all completely separate from the game file, so feel free to delete the games to save space as needed.

I'd say no probably not, since it was never an option on the PSP.

if that is true then why did they make a PS+ vita bundle package

PlayStation Vita 3G Bundle - 4GB with PlayStation Plus

why put a psn+ if your not going to put out much on the vita side

AND I STILL DID NOT GET MY PUDDING

Whether or not it was intended that the Vita be part of PS+ I don't see how you can complain.  Sure, not every month is a winner, but it has been pretty damn good.  The PS+ games alone to this point have justified my purchase of a Vita last Fall - even if no other game is ever released for the system.

You so crazy.

They put the IGC Vita out and advertised the AAA evergreen titles. Uncharted, Wipeout, Gravity Rush and the ability to back uo saves to the cloud alone make PSN+ worthwhile for the Vita. Everything else is gravy.

still weighing the max payne deal...

where do you guys pin the odds it will go igc this year?

don't plan on playing it right away, but that's a pretty great price. i hate grown up decisions :s

Have any R* games been in the IGC? My guess is not likely.

Go for it.
I jump on the deal last night & I'll probably won't be playing either until I lower my backlog. Plus, seeing that it is $11.99w/the rockstar pass that's a great deal.

No, you can't upload them, but you can copy them to a PC or PS3. PS1 and PSP game saves are stored separately from the game data as well, so you can delete the game and the saves will stay. Then if you redownload it later the saves will be waiting (unless you specifically delete your PSP game saves at a later date, or your card gets corrupted).

EDIT: Whoops. Looks like Frisky actually answered this already, but it was several pages later and I hadn't gotten to it yet in my thread-catch-up.
