:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

So i need to put a 1tb HDD in my Batman LE ps4. Im keeping the other one downstairs in the family room but want to put a good sized one in this one for my bedroom. I was just wondering if you guys think a 5400 rpm hdd would be safer than a 7200 rpm. I called Sony and they said they recommend a 5400 rpm hdd... but their tech supports pretty crappy

these are the 2 models i have

Samsung spinpoint 5400rpm
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152291

HGST travelstar 7200rpm
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145881

which one would be the best bet? Obviously a 7200 rpm would be faster but im concerned about heat since ps4's seem to run a bit hot. Is either one of those a better brand than he other? I tend to think both sammy and HGST are decent
1tb sshd by seagate. The only other real option to me is the 7200 drives. But the speed is negligible between the two and the sshd is 5400.

Anyone know if the Sega Genesis Collection works on the Vita because it's not showing up on the Vita store :(
I believe you have to download it to a PS3, connect your PS Vita to the PS3 and then transfer it from there. I have it on my Vita, and I believe that's what I had to do. If you don't own a PS3, you might be SOL.

This applies to the PSP version of the game which is missing a couple games compared to the PS3 version.

Also, anyone know what the difference is between the free Driveclub Playstation Plus Edition and the Full Game Trial available from the main game's page? Started downloading the full game trial, but Frisky's link is to something different.

Edit: It appears the the PS+ edition downloaded and installed as an add-on.

Has it been confirmed that this version will work with DLC. I downloaded a bunch of the free expansions that were available, they seem to be charging for them now, if this is the case then I don't ever plan on buying the retail version.
I only have the full game, so I don't know. Sorry.

I'm really wondering what the differences are. I bought it back in December and don't regret it, the game is a blast after the patches that came and they had free DLC. If I didn't have the ever growing backlog, I would buy the season pass

This. Kid did post that the season pass works with the ps+ edition, but I want to know from someone who downloaded only the free dlc aswell. Would check myself but don't have ps+ atm.

Via SD since we have the flash sale coming up. Going to use my $50 eBay credit that I paid $40 for like two weeks ago to make it even sweeter.

$50 PSN credit for $45 through PayPal/eBay w/ email delivery: http://www.ebay.com/itm/50-Sony-Playstation-Store-Gift-Card-for-only-45-Email-Delivery-/261940875430?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cfce490a6
Last time I tried getting psn credit from paypal digital gifts there were all kinds of problems. Did they patch that up or is it still 2 purchases per account or something?

The Sega Genesis collection on PSP is not missing any games - it's not even available on PS3. You're probably thinking of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, which was a much later release. The Genesis collection on PS2 has a different set of unlockable arcade games from the PSP version.

Techland is giving away some free stuff for Dying Light to make fun of Destiny's Red Bull quest/promotion:

[customspoiler='Click for Banner']

[/customspoiler]

Yesterday Dying Light playfully encouraged people to drink water in exchange for a free docket code that gives players a high-tier weapon to redeem in-game. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive with fans from all over the globe joining in.

To thank fans for their amazing involvement, today Techland announced an additional level to the Drink For DLC campaign. Techland have decided to design, create and release a number of all new free DLC packs for Dying Light throughout the second half of the year. The campaign will be led by the fans reaching successive stretch goals - by posting pictures of themselves drinking water on Twitter and tagging them with #DrinkForDLC.

All fans who have already participated will have their submissions added to the total tweet count. A full breakdown of the stretch goals are listed in the attached image along with the originally promised docket code:

However, the very first stretch goal will be a more immediate reward. As the tweet count is already nearing 5,000, Techland decided to reward all the water-loving fans with a 50% XP boost to player agility. The perk will be active for 24 hours, starting this Sunday, June 28th (Pacific Time).

Techland will keep fans informed on the campaign progress via the official Dying Light Twitter account and will announce the number of upcoming free DLCs by the end of July 2015.

I take it you must be on twitter to get the codes..

Nevermind, put the code in the banner in a 2nd time and it took it. odd.

Hope the rest of the "codes" are just listed as free DLC though.

I think it unlocks the full version and would like to know if the season pass would work with it

Been getting back into Arkham Asylum and I'm still enjoying it a lot. They try to give Killer Croc a horror vibe with the jumpy music cues and presentation, but the fight itself is more comical to ruin the vibe they were building.

So tempted to pick up Batman, but I haven't finished the first and never started the second or third.
They are all worthwhile. I'd start from the beginning if I were you and hadn't played any of them. (Feel free to skip Origins).

I want to say I'm about 75% done with Asylum, not counting all the ridiculous side stuff.
You don't necessarily have to play the first two but it does help with seeing how things got to where they are. Just do the main stuff of each game and in city do the azreal missions since he is in arkham knight also.

Link works on my iPhone..
Here is what it looks like, Yellow background instead of Red.
2rh4rns.png
Pretty sure they are the same thing, just red if you download from PSstore yellow if from outside the PS4 via mobile device. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Sidenote: glad I never bought that game, going back to Batman.

Guilty Gear Xrd is one of the free games for Japanese PS+. Since a new version of the game is in development, I'd say there's a fair chance we'll get it here too.

Just started it this morning. The presentation is so insanely good! The combat is just as good as the previous games but the graphics are unbelievably good. For all the flack the Batmobile is getting online, I think it's pretty fun driving around Gotham.

Disgaea is one series I keep buying games for and have still never actually played.  Any recommendations on where to start, I've got 3 and 4 for PS3 and Disgaea DS?

Amnesia: Memories is out on 8/25 for Vita/PSTV:

Mystery and love await! Amnesia: Memories will be making a simultaneous debut on both North American PSN and Steam on August 25, with a European PSN release on August 26. Available exclusively as a digital release, it will also be compatible with PlayStation TV. In this visual novel, you'll play the Heroine whose life depends on hiding her recent loss of memory while you navigate complex relationships with five men. Can you write the lasting love story you deserve, or will your love - and life - come to an end?

About Amnesia: Memories

On the 1st of August, you awake as the Heroine, with previous memories of who you are somehow snatched away from you. In your confusion, a mysterious spirit named Orion appears to help you regain your memories. You'll explore your own world as a complete stranger, trying to understand what was once familiar all while hiding your condition from the five men close to you. Because, as Orion warns, you may jeopardize any chance of recovering your memories if anyone finds out. It's now up to you recover the past to rewrite your future love story!

Key Features

  • Love Your Own Way! Select one of five guys as your love interest, each with multiple branching story paths. Picking your romantic interest creates different background scenarios for each character, essentially creating many distinct worlds with more than 20 endings!
  • Affection, Trust, and...Suspicion?! Three parameters affect your relationship with your future love. Make the right conversation choices, and you'll keep Affection and Trust maxed out, but if Suspicion gets too high you'll be at risk of a Bad Ending!
  • College Games Use touch controls to play mini-games like Rock, Paper, Scissors and Air Hockey against other characters. Beating them will unlock special images!
  • A Picture, 1000 Words Meet certain requirements and you'll be able to unlock voiced images in the Gallery. Touching certain areas of the image will play dialogue of feelings that couldn't be previously expressed.

Origins is fine.  The game world itself seemed super sparse, and the gameplay is basically a rehash of the first two without anything new, but the story was really good.  Worth playing.
