:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Are you talking about the Premium Edition? It's not on sale on PS3, nor the base game itself. The Premium season pass is the only thing that would apply to the PS3 version since it's supposed to be Cross Buy.
yes I'm talking about the Premium season pass, I purchased it through your link in op and then i go to download list and only see playable on ps4, I logged in my ps3 and check download list and is no where to be found and I even boot up BF4 on ps3 and check in game store and is like if I didn't purchase it

edit: since I bought it instead of saying add to cart it says choose version: download add-on content to your ps3, I click on this and then it says "sorry, we were unable to queue your game for download on the playstation 3. Please try again."

Has anyone been able to purchase this BF4 Premium season pass without any problems? I'm not able to get it to work on ps3

Weird. It mentions on the page that you should get both:

Purchasing account may download item to up to 2 activated PlayStation®3 systems associated with this Sony Entertainment Network account.
It would probably be a good idea to contact Sony support to see why you're not getting both and maybe put in for a refund if they can't solve the issue.

Did people actually use the Youtube app regularly? I used it once or twice until the shitty way that it requires a ton of memory card space to let you watch videos got in the way of my desire to be able to store games on my memory card. It was such a terrible app, so if Google doesn't want to make it a better app, then I'm fine with it going away for good.
Supposedly it's because Google is updating apis and a lot of youtube apps will die that day, including some old smart tvs, etc.

Given you can still watch youtube in the browser just fine, I don't really see much of an issue for 99% of vita owners.

That was a problem early on. You wouldn't have been able to use it if you had the system notification pop up saying you had only 40 or 50MB left on your memory card. Now you can unless the video you're streaming is like an hour long.

Personally, I used the app all the time since I don't have a smartphone and the experience is better than my (admittedly old) Android tablet, at least. And whenever I watched video reviews for Vita or PSP games, you get a perfect portrayl of what it'd look like on your Vita.

I have a Vizio LED I got back in 2010 and I still periodically use the YouTube app for HD videos. I would be kind of upset if that's taken away.
The API has been known (by the people paying attention, not me) for months now:

Google/youtube posted about it being taken down back in Sept:

http://apiblog.youtube.com/

"If you haven’t yet migrated from the previous API version (v2), we wanted to remind you it will be unsupported as of April 20, 2015, and shut down soon thereafter."

Here's another, more key page:

https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6098135?hl=en

Certain older YouTube apps will no longer be supported after April 2015
Devices affected: Select devices manufactured in 2012 and earlier, including Sony TV & Blu-ray Discs, Panasonic, and devices running Google TV.

On April 20, 2015 we will no longer support the YouTube app on certain device models from 2012 and older.

We will continue to focus our efforts on improving our official YouTube app for TV which is available on most 2013 and newer smart TVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, and streaming devices. You can find a list of our device partners here.

How can I continue using YouTube on my TV?
If you have a web browser on your Smart TV that supports flash and/or html5, you may be able to continue using YouTube by visiting youtube.com in your browser.

so this has more to do with Google/youtube than Vita.

Any way I can get 2 days of ps plus? I want to grab this months IGC games before they expire. I ordered ps plus 12 months online and it will not get to me until tuesday, which is the day they expire. Also, I already used the 14 day trial.

I can't promise anything but my PS4 is coming in on Friday - if there's a voucher in there you can have it

I have GOTY editions for most of the games in this week's sale. Bulletstorm would be a good pick up but it looks like it's part of Gamestop's 3 for $10 deal so I might go that route instead. What a relief, after the past two weeks of sales, I don't think my wallet could have handled any more abuse.

Where did you order it from? If it's a digital code, there's a slight chance it's in the order confirmation email.

So Infamous First Light is pretty damn awesome.  I plat'd Second Son and really enjoyed it.   First Light has the story and upgrade paths familiar to Infamous, but it also has a huge 'arena' section where you need to complete challenges and/or score attack.

I love arena type 'side games' - in fact, I wish all action related games did this, it's tons of content for relatively little work (arena/challenge design, sure, but no story/plot/etc.

I just burned a few hours just playing in the arena, having a blast, totally ignoring the story.   The story seems interesting as well, it's a prequel to SS about Fetch, and it's structured just like most infamous games with side missions, etc (in this case, stuff like neon graffiti and time trials).

Loving it.  Great ps+ addition.

Yeah First Light was great. I enjoyed it much more than Second Son and I enjoyed Fetch a lot more than Delsin. I thought the arenas where just going to be used as filler but I ended up enjoying them as well.

I enjoyed Fetch a lot more than Delsin.
This x1,000,000,000^^^^

She is probably one of my favorite video game characters ever honestly. I even preordered First Light at GS just so I can get the bonus outfit. They could have made the original game about her and I would have been happy. Delsin was boring as hell to me although I still loved the game.

I liked Delsin fine. Like Fetch too, I guess. As long as Zeke isn't in it, I'm happy.

Agreed. I hope we see her in the next Infamous even if it's just a cameo.

Zeke's not that bad. He kind of grew on me by the second game.

I had heard of the Front Mission series by its fourth game myself. For one reason or another, the box art for that game is still stuck in my mind. As far as Grandia goes, that first bit about its story actually reminds me of a few other games. All in all, they both seem to be right up my alley.
It does have amazing writing and voice work for the first couple hours though I will give it that. Up until the boat to the new world I was loving the game a lot.

I couldn't get past how many random encounters there were in Persona, so I never played 1 and 2. Nor 3 or 4. Persona Q was my first Persona game. But you guys are making me want to play Nocturne (did play Strange Journey and SMT:IV).
technically what you played wasn't a persona game but an entrian game with persona as a cross over. Like the persona fighting games they have mostly just cross over shenanigans and references but otherwise have nothing to do with the main games.

PS+ for February

4. Februar: Apotheon (PS4)
4. Februar: Transistor (PS4)
4. Februar: Thief (PS3)
4. Februar: Yakuza 4 (PS3)
4. Februar: Rogue Legacy (PS4, PS3, PS Vita Cross Buy)
4. Februar: Kick and Fennick (PS Vita)

Oh shiet, Yakuza 4 is really unexpected. Now you guys will see how awesome the series is and we'll finally get the installments set in the samurai period and a sequel to Binary Domain. So hyped.

Of course, I just bought Transistor. Oh well, nice month. Surprising to see three PS4 games, even if I wouldn't have minded trying Thief. I'm sure it'll be a future PS+ title for PS4 anyway.

In other Sega-related news, Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax was announced for Western release in Summer 2015. That's the 2D fighter with Sword Art Online and Virtua Fighter characters. It'll be on PS3 and Vita at retail and digital.

Excellent. I've never heard of any of these games and I get the chance to check them out for the first time (well, the PS3 games anyway) .

As far as this week's sales, I was tempted by Doom and Doom 3 but decided to pass and wait for the Doom 3 BFG disc which includes the first two games anyway. Rage and Fallout DLC was nice to see, until I realized I owned the game on Xbox 360 instead. Therefore the PS+ freebies will keep me busy this week.

Cool this looks like a fun maybe not ultra deep game. Any game with my waifu Kuroneko is worth a try in my book.

Also Yakuza 4 free for PS+ really shows that they want us to get Yakuza 5. I will need to get it immediately on release. Been waiting years for it....only game I didn't get to play that was localized was Yakuza 2. I could never find it....I just used the previous game story thing in Yakuza 3....great games though. When I played Akiba Strip it made me realize how much better the Yakuza games were. Akiba Strip isn't a terrible game of course, but it's very average compared to the quite good Yakuza games.

Not sure what the source is, but Yakuza 4 would be a kick to the balls of Yakuza fans that bought it last month when it came out during PSX last month. However, I'm not surprised that Sega would kick their fans in the balls.

Well Transistor I bought last time it was on sale and its still backlogged but ah well, I also own thief for PS4 and Yakuza 4 Already...never heard of apotheon...what I saw on youtube looks promising though!

Yakuza 5 US release I believe is going to be in Q3 2015. This would be one way to get even more people interested in the franchise. Y4 is a good game, I prefer the story of Y3, but I think for the market Y4 works better as a first time game for the non yakuza players. Physical copy of Y4 has been out for a while so if this happens, the digital people shouldn't mind IMO

Yeah but the Yakuza games don't let you sell people's used underwear for money. Tell me that didn't make you laugh out loud the first time you did it.

Recently bought Transistor, but I knew the risk. Traded in Yakuza 4 a while back and immediately regretted it. I've been wanting Rogue Legacy. I'm glad Thief is included, since I've seen it very cheap plenty of times, but couldn't bring myself to buy it because it isn't supposed to be very good - I still wanted to give it a try. Not familiar with Apotheon and Kick and Fennick, but I just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and they look worth trying (perhaps more so than Thief).

No, he means that Yakuza 4 just came out digitally on the PSN store when Yakuza 5 was announced. He couldn't resist the cheap jab at Sega but everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Great lineup for Feb! Apotheon looks very good.
Zero fucks given that I purchased Transistor when it was on sale recently because we still get a bunch of great games. I love that PS includes the cross-buy games each month, too.

I cannot believe I used to hate on PS+ Plus, glad I saw the light.

Not sure what the source is...
The source was apparently the German site for the Playstation blog (via reddit), but the post has since been removed. There was also a youtube link, but the video was private, so I don't think anyone's actually seen it. As of right now, I would still say these are unconfirmed.

If it is true, that's an awesome list. I have Transistor on PC, but haven't touched it yet. Looking forward to playing it now! Also have RL, with a few hours into it, and still haven't beaten a boss. I like platformers, but quick-twitch dodgy platformers are not my strong suit.

EDIT: And someone posted the video above, invalidating my entire first paragraph! Thanks for the proof!

Doom 3 digital actually comes with Doom and Doom 2.

J-Stars Victory Vs was also announced for release in Summer '15. It's also a PS3/Vita 2D fighter and the roster has characters from One Piece, DBZ, Naruto, Gintama, To Love Ru and a lot of other Shounen Jump characters.

Damn this is a good month. I'm really looking forward to playing Transistor, Rogue Legacy, Apotheon and Yakuza 4.

Although Q and the Arena games are considered canon story-wise. And Persona Q actually did add in a lot of Persona elements to the gameplay and did (thankfully) feel more like a Persona game than I was expecting. Just with more dungeon and less outside stuff.
