So what's the story on Dangan Ronpa? I'd really like it but I'm trying to decide whether I should just play the second or the first or both? I'm a big Ace Attorney fan so I figured it would be fun though it's hard to follow exactly how it works.

Also, Sherlock Holmes at 30 bucks.... c'mon!

You must play the first before you can play the second. This isn't optional.

Play the first one first. Some of what happens in 2 is better if you have context from 1.

The first game because the second take place right after the first game, but they have both been on sale a few times now. I still need to beat the first and pick up the second, but I am holding out for the sequel to hit $20 or less. I managed to snag the original on a sale last year for $20. Great game though, really one of the Vita's best.

For those getting Never Alone, it's a really interesting game it it's really frustrating in some areas. Like really frustrating. It's worth it if you want to learn about the culture. I felt my brain learning.

TBH I'm not that worried about that because $6 isn't much money and I have no problem paying for a game I like. I just hate buying games I don't like. If I don't like a game I don't play it. I've deleted plenty of downloads in the past that I didn't enjoy.

I'm there with you man. I have it on PC and it fell in to my backlog, but so far it is a really good game, which I feel I would play more on the Vita....but part of me thinks it will fall into a ps+ sooner or later.

It gave me the full season pass for Borderlands and GoT, although it only downloads episode 1 of each (I guess thats the only one thats out). The description is extremely confusing.

The telltale games are not cross buy though, I bought the PS4 versions and that didn't give me the PS3 versions

i have a bad habit of buying games and then never playing them. My backlog is so freaking big its not even funny no more.

Just on handhelds got 10 RPG and at least 10 to 15 on 3ds either sealed or just played less then hour. Going to try to stop buying toally and just rent off gamefly, crimimal girls just took the last 40 hours of my time, and just got monster hunter 4 today, should get black heart next week off gamefly. Biggest mistake i made was buying REBIRTH 2 at release, by the time i get done with the first one part 2 will fall to like 20 bucks (just like disgaea and FF X)

I'm with this guy. The second game assumes you know what the returning cast has gone through in the first game. Your entire party except for the main character are returning characters. I would also suggest not to play them back to back. I did that and it made Xillia2 even more unbearable than it already is. Going through the same areas over and over again is mind numbing.

It's couplet rhyme. I'm 80% through and absolutely hate the dialogue. They did a great job of shoving tons of characters and art in the game though. I don't think you could get "invested" in the world if you wanted but to its credit it's a fun take on creating a universe out of a child's dream land.

Absolutely highly recommend Dangan Ronpa. Play the first, then the second. The second depends on you playing the first (it will explain any missing info eventually, but it won't be as interesting/shocking/etc if you don't have that background).

Thanks for the more balanced info on it. This sounds like a game that isn't for me. If it does eventually come to PS+ the ill give it a shot.
 
Odd. So the normal PS+ weekly sales do not have additional ps+ discounts.

But the named 'Critic's Choice' sale does have additional ps+ discounts, which is in line with the named 'Anniversary' sale also having additional discounts.

So perhaps their new system is exactly that -- ps+ additional discount on Day 1 releases + named sales, and no more discounts on standard weekly items.

Sounds like you might like it. Start with the first. They are VNs with court room minigames, which either makes it awesome or terrible, depending on your tastes.

ZE :VLR is not an adventure game. It's a multi-threaded Visual Novel with 'room escape' puzzles that you need to solve to open up options.

 
Hey, so are the tell tale games cross save with Vita? I might bite based on the deal but I already have everything but GOT and Borderlands (obiously since they aren't on vita anyway)

 
Nothing for me this week. I want to get tomb raider on ps4 and $14 is not that bad, but I think it is another title destined for ps plus even though I think it was already for ps4.

The PS3 version of Tomb Raider was available for free on PS+. The PS4 version has not been free yet, but the fact that it might some day is what is stopping me from picking it up as part of this sale. Hmmmm...

The Tell Tale bundle is extremely tempting, but I think I can pass on everything this sale.   Most of the must own games are already mine.

Gladiator Begins is highly recommended to all vita owners, especially at that price.

Looks like you might have caught it when it was still updating? They are not showing free anymore. Although when I first clicked the links a little earlier, only Jann Lee was free for me. But just checked now and he doesn't seem to be showing that anymore. Also unable to even add the Ragnarok costumes.

I was wrong, it was only five weeks ago. I bought it for $23.99 on Jan 9.

Probably and that's why I bought it when I did. The first game has been on sale three times at the same price so that seems to be the direction they're taking.
