:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

It's impossible for anything else to be disappointment of the year in the same year Hotline Miami 2 came out. Unless Witcher 3 or Arkham Knight really shit the bed.
Did Hotline Miami 2 not live up to the first? Haven't followed it at all figuring it will go on sale a bunch on PC like the first or hit PS+.

Its 93 metacritic atm. What would not be a disappointment to you? lol

You've been very cynical of everything lately for some reason.
I'm not being actually critical of it. Multiple have gone from insanely hyped last night though to saying it's "decent" or "pretty good" and it's just an interesting. A bit of hyperbolic pot stirring is all.

I'm looking forward to playing it but will let them patch it all up first.

It's alright and has a lot of great ideas but the level design is really irritating and the focus on guns makes the action less frenetic and fun. The best levels are when you can't use guns.

Also my favorite character(s) are super glitchy, where the ai partner constantly gets stuck on geometry.

Also also the pc version keeps erasing my save with every near-daily update, which is nice.

Anyone know if the last of us PS4 bundle has the newer controllers that DON'T friggin fall appart after light use? My launch one started losing some of the rubber very quickly. The new camo and blue ones i bought seem fine, but im wondering if the newer bundles, like the last of us one, have the newer controllers or if theyre still using the janky older ones. I was considering getting a 2nd PS4 soon and was looking at that bundle since none of them seem that great

I got the last of us ps4 bundle in Nov of last year and while I can't say exactly how much I have used it, I would say I have easily put 100 hours of use on the controller that came with the bundle and haven't ran into the issue thankfully. Before I got a ps4 I had read about that so I was kind of afraid of it happening to me.

Edit: I don't know if it's helpful but the model number on mine is CUH-ZCT1U

Ugh, these ebay sellers are absolute fucking worst. I want to buy psn plus card and they have it for 10 bucks off but why bother send the card by shipping when you can easily scratch off the card and just email me the code?

Has anyone tried buying psn/xbla cards from ebay sellers? Do they actually send the card by shipping instead of just emailing the code?

hmm i do wonder if the model number matters. 100 hours is way more than i started noticing problems. I got my system at launch but never really used it. When i finally did near the end of last year i quickly noticed the sticks leaving a tacky feeling on my fingers. Probably less than 40 hours or so of use i think

I have a launch system as well and did the same where I played AC4 and some other stuff at launch but then really didn't play it more than occasionally over the first year. Shortly after I started playing it some again the right stick started losing the rubber.

I think SNK Playmore is using Metal Slug 3 as a litmus test to decide whether or not to release its other classic games on PS4. Anybody remember the SNK poll on the PlayStation blog from a little while ago? If Metal Slug 3 doesn't sell at this price, we might not get Garou: Mark of the Wolves on PS4. Personally, I would like to see more retro games on PS4 because it would give me another reason to own it other than Persona 5.

Because you could lie about receiving the code and PayPal would be more likely to back you than them. It sucks, but it's a big risk for the seller.

Exactly, I had two people do it to me and I completely stopped selling codes on ebay. You have to CYA by mailing the code. And that is a no win situation because you get one group of people mad at you because you won't email the code and the other annoyed because they can't rip you off by lying.

You can always do everyone else a favor by leaving proper feedback for individuals that do this.

I agree. I did buy MS3, partly because it's one of the greatest action/arcade games ever produced, and also because I'd like to see more Neo Geo games ported over. Plus it's cross buy, so you get it on all 3 platforms. It also has the welcome feature of being able to turn off "smoothing", giving a more crisp, pixellated image. The Metal Slug Anthology on PSP didn't allow that, although the standalone Neo Geo titles for PSP (and Vita) did have that feature.

Yes, it was probably overpriced at 13.49, but I really would like to see more Neo Geo titles brought to PSN, so I went ahead and bought it.

I know Bloodborne is fantastic, but I'd have to put Hotline Miami 2 and Ori and the Blind Forest as my favorite games of the year, and likely to be higher on my GoTY list. I think part of my problem is over expectations, particularly from the reviews, and the fact that it's too much like Dark Souls. Yes, the combat is faster and the setting is different, but when it all comes down to it, it still has the same feel, same difficulty and even same save mechanism (lamp posts instead of camp fires). And with few weapons upgrades, it's almost a step down IMO.

Anyway, that's just me. I loved the Souls games and love this. Just for some reason I wanted more differentiation. Where something like Ori was a complete surprise, this feels like more of the same. Not a bad thing. Just, well, hate to be the next person to say this but..disappointing.

^ Wow. Broken Age is coming sooner than I thought. Awesome.

Also, I am always a bit nervous when updating any PlayStation firmware. I have this (unnecessary) fear that it will brick something temporarily.

Because you could then say it didn't work & demand a refund from PayPal & get it.

Please let the Metal Slug port be good.
I'm not familiar but BL2 was ported to next gen in "the handsome collection"

I'm not sure how long this has been released but this is immediate and awesome news to me

I hope this port is good, I wasn't aware of the pre-sequel until recently, so Is this(handsome collection ) a deal, or are they just advertising in the same section ?

Forgot all about Shovel Knight. Does the Nintendo version have any exclusive characters?

Why buy PSN codes on Ebay when you could buy it somewhere else like Best Buy's website?  For that matter, why not just use Bing Rewards (or other free services mentioned in the referral forum), get enough points for a $5 Amazon card, and use those funds to get a code for free?

Does not show up free in cart, almost accidentally bought it at 19.99 cause of excitement.

Edit: NVM, Added wrong version. Free FTW

There's a banner on the PS3's What's New section saying that Epix is having a free preview weekend from 3/26 to 3/29 with Transformers: Age of Extinction as the featured movie on the banner.

I'm usually not a fan of negativity, but I literally just bought it for $8 yesterday.  ( I bought it cause I played it before the patched the nearly impossible part of the game, towards the end)...  has to be a mistake, but man....

Just wait until you get further into the game. The importance of parrying with the gun sets it apart quite a bit.

Glad we all live in Europe!

Nothing would be anywhere near cheap enough for me to consider that I don't already have.

This is what I did, easy fix and well worth the money.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K23P8IE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mine didn't come with the D pad though. I went with blue on my blue controllers and they look sharp, feel great too.

Can anybody recommend a good PS3 controller shell replacement? I cannot use the regular DS3 for games like Batman because of how the cheap plastic bends everytime I mash.
