Both of my launch controllers have ruined analog sticks because the rubber was peeling on one and then on the other one just seemed to slowly disintegrate until it was completely gone almost.

Bought a white PS4 controller from Amazon back on 10/19/14 and so far the sticks are fine with HEAVY use. I've put those sticks through 100's of hours of NBA 2k15 and various other games.

So, yeah, check out the new controllers! Also remember you get a one year warranty with each controller so keep your receipt. I kept mine, that's how I know which day I bought it.

Played Bloodborne and Transistor on remote play at a Starbucks. Was amazing...except Bloodborne is kinda dark (screenwise even if brightness is all the way up)

If you want all three versions, buy the PS3 or Vita versions first and the PS4 version will become free afterwards. You will not get the PS3/Vita versions for free if you buy the PS4 version first.

Which model Vita do you have? I had that problem with Second Son on the OLED model but the slim looked right.
 
Used the 10% code to stack with the Plus discount on Metal Slug 3 for $12.14 total. Excited for some more online co-op action. Spring Fever 15 has been too legit. Now the wait for Axiom Verge.

I just noticed how huge of a difference there is in the brightness in Bloodborne tonight. I've been playing it entirely through remote play due to a much more comfy couch in the room where my PSTV is (recently had back surgery). But went up to the playroom where the kids, of course, want it. And holy crap, I didn't realize how much brighter it was and how much more I could see. Needless to say, I'll be pumping up the brightness next time I play via remote play.

Answering my own question from earlier ... Remote Play is amazingly, magically better with PS4 2.5 and Vita 3.5.

I've used Remote Play a lot over the last year. It's always been functional and a nice feature, but there was noticeable input lag even when directly connected or on a local network.

The new High (60 fps) setting feels snappier and less floaty. I don't think it's just the frames. I think they managed to cut the remote play latency hit by a noticeable amount. Look forward to the Digital Foundry analysis there.

More surprisingly, it's handling flakey long distance connections much better. I'd get disconnect warnings and actual drops frequently if I tried remote play from my office. I just blasted through the entire Resogun campaign on veteran from work. Picture quality plummeted at a couple points, but the connection never dropped. Left it on "High" the whole time. And the latency was also improved. More noticeable input lag than local play, but that's to be expected. It felt close to "old" local Remote Play.

Look forward to the Digital Foundry analysis to see how much of this is actual reduction in the latency hit and how much is the move from 30 to 60 FPS.

You guys think the WWE 2K15 Wrestlemania bundle is worth buyin'? I need my yearly wrestlin' fix, but I've been on the fence with this game for the longest. I did enjoy WWE 2K14 though. I don't care much about creation stuff, but mostly gameplay and if t he game itself is fun. 10% off the bundle this weekend doesn't hurt either.

It depends, it's a great price thus far but the game was meh, they took out a lot of game modes and they limited the match types you can play. I got the digital deluxe on release day, even though they improved the grappling mechanics and I liked how they brought back the stamina system but it was still a disappointment to me. I will say that it was fun though from what I played so far and 2k showcase was decent for what it was.

If you've enjoyed any other God of War title then you'll like Ghost of Sparta. It's about the same length and difficulty as Chains of Olympus but I think it's the better of the two PSP titles. It was the last GoW title released (before Ascension) and they really had the formula figured out at that point.

I actually enjoyed the portable entries more because they were shorter. The console games are a bit too long for me as action titles, but 5-6 hours feels just right for God of War (I realize many people may feel the exact opposite).

 
IGN has had Banner saga as coming Q1 since it was announced, is that just wrong? i haven't been able to find any new PS4/Vita banner saga news since around the reaveal. 

 
Hmmm, looks like the thing that wouldn't let me purchase the GoW:A  Ultimate Edition was fixed.  I can now add it to my cart.  Of note, the regular version which I see some folks got free has been pulled from the store.  Also the bundle of addons to convert the regular edition (or retail version?) to Ultimate Edition that was free is now gone too.  Still looks like I got all the bundle contents in my account so no biggie.

I think I'm going to wait and get the main game retail... for now, I bought a kayak today so I'm actually planning to spend a lot of time away from gaming.

Same here. This is why I turned off the auto updates for Firmware. I think you can set it to go ahead and download while in rest mode, but it'll not install until you turn it on and get prompted to approve the update.

 
Has infamous first light dropped in price yet? Supposed to be 50% off til Monday so Im wondering if theres a flash sale again today.

I can't see the price because I already bought it
