There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Honestly, for me at least, it's not hate about the Vita. It's just what I feel is a sad state of affairs for Vita users. Believe me, I would love Vita to have been a huge success. But despite the argument that there are still games coming out and are available digitally, I don't think anyone here can say even Sony is happy with how things went with Vita.

Anyway, I'm happy to get back to deal discussion. Just nothing for me this week.
Well, obviously Sony wishes it was selling like hotcakes. And if it was selling like hotcakes, they'd wish it was selling even better than that.

But the lack of retail games isn't really an issue as long as we're getting new games all the time, which we are. And honestly, even if another game never came out, I'd have enough games to play on my vita for the next 10 years, easy.

But I too wish we had a big sale this week, if only so we were talking about 'is game x worth a dollar?'

PS -- anyone know if Run Like Hell is worth a dollar?

Wow, that's impressive. I have a number of Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buys in my area and your Wal-Mart has more Vita games than all of those stores combined.

And I didn't literally mean none (hence why I said most are clearanced). But the sections at each store have maybe 4-5 individual titles at best. Looking around it looks desolate compared to any other system (especially at Best Buy since they carry more games than the other stores overall and all you see is a few games and a whole bunch of placards with nothing In the Vita section).

Sorry, but physical Vita games are very much getting harder to find at physical retailers, except GameStop, but even they have a generally pathetic selection compared to every other system!).
My bestbuy pretty much stopped selling anything Vita and most definitely the pre-owned. You know how "all" the PO vita games are dead cheap at BBY?! Well, I can't find a single ONE at mine. I suppose the right word(?) for this is FML?

So he may have a point about the vita games; but I dont think it is any indication of how vita is doing. It is just an indication of what bestbuy is doing.

I am not going to get into the "yes vita" & "no vita" arguments. I play what I like and that is all I care.
I was more looking for a reason to post that picture from my recent trip to WalMart. That should make more sense with these other pictures about the current state of videogames in stock at this particular WalMart:

LOL. Just the number of "49.98" Other M copies there speaks volumes. Hell, if they still have that much stock of those, maybe that store should reconsider whether they need to be selling video games at all.

I don't know if anyone else has brought this up but isn't the lone Senran Kagura Bon Appetit DLC kind of a weird weekly deal? I know it's on sale but there's a ton of DLC for that game, not including both parts of the game itself, they could have also put up there. Anyways, I just thought that was really kind of odd. I actually need the second half of the game and was thinking of picking it up this week but now i'm a little hesitant and will probably end up waiting because it might go on sale soon.

It's a permanent price drop, not a sale.

Except I don't bite my nails because I'm nervous, I bite them because it is my preferred way to shorten them. Also, I never said that I wanted them to change the Vita to make it easier to get the flap open, I simply said it was the reason I initially decided to go all digital on the Vita. I didn't even complain about going all digital.

Nervous habits don't necessarily mean you're 'nervous' in the traditional sense. Everybody has them.
Replying to your original post (the one that showed up in my email), I actually bite them when they are too long for my comfort, or when they catch on things like my blankets.

Please stop talking about fingernails. It's really gross. No offense filmthedead.

Why did I start thinking of fingernails being torn off. AHHH! STOP IT!!! AHHH!!! STOP!

I won't post the video ;)
Stir of echoes, the girl breaking her fingernail on the hardwood floor. That scene even made me squirm...

I really hadn't intended for my comment on having trouble opening the Vita cart port and thus finding digital games preferrable to turn into a whole big thing, which it did. I am sorry for that.

all i want to say is that if super nintendo can play gameboy games.... sony...well you know.
ps4 can definitely play ps1/ps2 games (psn classics, at the very least), if that's what you're getting at. It's probably just a matter of them deciding when to announce it.

Lol did anyone catch that Ubi lowered the price of Watch Dogs to $40 last week and now they did it again to $30 this week?

I have missed it a lot actually so I will buy it on it's next sale now that its regular price is already so low. There's a cool atmosphere to that Chicago, even if the story was really bizarre gangster weak.

The lead programmer of Resogun wrote up a great postmortem of Resogun with a lot of cool information on some of the early ideas they had for that game before settling on the game we have today.

As a teaser, it initially began as a PS3/Vita game before the PS4 was even announced and it used the Super Stardust Delta engine as a result. It wasn't until after the PS4 announcement that they talked to Sony and decided to make it a PS4 launch title to make use of the extra power that would let them do what they wanted with that game, though they only got PS4 devkits eight months before launch. They have a lot of screenshots of the early parts of development.

I'm still going to wait for Watch Dogs to get much cheaper. I thought it was a supposed to be a game where you manipulate the environment, not blast people with firearms like any other video games.

It is actually. While firearms use is a part of the game, a significant portion of the game can be beaten with just hacking and non lethal takedowns. That was the best part of the game for me.

I thought I saw it cheaper than that in the last few days... like $20 range.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy
PS2 Classic Bundle — Digital

Mortal Kombat X

Teslagrad

Gain new abilities to explore a non-linear world with more than 100 beautiful hand-drawn environments, in a steampunk-inspired vision of old Europe.

Titan Souls
PS4, PS Vita — Digital (Cross Buy)

Now scattered amongst the ruins and guarded by the idle titans charged with their care, a solitary hero armed with but a single arrow is once again assembling shards of the Titan Soul in a quest for truth and power.

We Are Doomed
PS4 — Digital

We Are Doomed is a twin-stick shooter where you zap polygon baddies with an absurdly overpowered laserbeam. Dive head-first into the action with reckless ambition, charge the Superbeam, and zap everything out of existence in an instant. Chase high scores or just enjoy the beautiful explosion of geometry, color and light.

Demos and Betas

Shiftlings — PS4 Demo

Trine Enchanted Edition — PS4 Demo

I highly recommend Titan souls. I finished the demo last night on my PC and I want more. Took me about 30min and 23 deaths to beat all 3 Titans in the demo and I'm sure the difficulty will ramp up as the game progresses. Reminds me of shadow of the colossus with a hint of dark souls difficulty. This will be nice on the vita.

Anyone know if Run Like Hell is any good?

more pure junk for the vita. Sad the vita comes down to getting Best of Arcade Games — Deluxe Edition and Medieval Defenders
Do you just skip over great stuff like Titan Souls on purpose?

Yes, publishers sometimes port mobile trash. Sony isn't going to stop people porting games. That doesn't mean we aren't also getting other games unless you put blinders on.

Oh, in that case, sure, dismiss it. Never mind that it's getting incredible early press and hands on and such (including the post before yours who played the demo).

Same with Axiom Verge, right? Forget that's it's getting great reviews, it looks a bit like Metroid.

We can't get [whatever kind of game you actually like] every week. Some weeks will have nothing you like. That's always going to happen. It doesn't suddenly mean Sony hates you and the vita. There can only be so many games coming out at a time.

We are exceptionally lucky to get Gradius V. That's a day one purchase for me.
You aren't kidding. It is an absolutely fantastic game. I've still got my PS2 copy locked away in my parents basement but I'll happily pay to play it again. Possibly my favorite shooter on the PS2. It was published (obviously) by Konami but Treasure helped develop it. Yes, the same Treasure who made Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga.

For those interested, IGN posted their Titan Souls review: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/04/13/titan-souls-review

Titan Souls’ sparse world and lore is merely the delivery device for its creative fights that hinge on your perception and skillful mastery of its simple, yet fluid and responsive controls. Though the experience is short, it’s potent, as weathering every titan’s impossibly lethal storm and finding that one true strike is an excellent and intoxicating retelling of David versus Goliath each time. And should you survive the punishing menagerie of monsters, having mastered each bout, Titan Souls raises the stakes and the difficulty, daring you to shoot to kill and do it better.
Destructoid, too: http://www.destructoid.com/review-titan-souls-290383.phtml

My normal difficulty run through, save for some exasperation at the final two titans, did make for good pacing. Death or victory come quickly because, for the most part, the titans are designed to leave you few opportunities to win. Running around and staying alive isn't an impressive feat because you're no closer to winning. The moments of opportunity are designed to put you in harms way -- surely killing you should you miss the shot -- doubling down on an intense thrill. The quickness with which these things kill you makes you always feel perpetually. That you often have to stare down these charging killers, like drawing an arrow against an oncoming train with a baseball-sized weak point, is exhilarating.

I am floored The Order was not at least in the top 20. The reviews and word of mouth must have just shut down the digital sales. PS+ maybe?
I wonder how pre-orders are calculated and if those sales show up in the month ordered or release month. Regardless, it doesn't look good for the game. I would imagine a significant number of people chose to buy physical versions once they heard about the length and reviews. I'm sure an even more significant number have skipped the game altogether or are waiting on better sales.

Pre-orders count for the month it was released, which is why it was #4 in February. The toxic word of mouth on that game was going to kill its chances of appearing again, especially with a bunch of big, new releases and the flash sale games that would push it out of the Top 20.
