:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

I'm away from my PS4 during the PS+ voting period and can't seem to find the option on the web store. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Nobody knows exactly how it'll work super long term, but for now what you absolutely need to do is:

Go to [Settings] > [PSN] > [System Activation] > [PlayStation Mobile] > [Activate] > [OK].

How this will work next year, if you switch mem cards, etc, is still unknown and pretty much guesswork. Worse case, we're all locked down from that point... best case, Sony decides to keep allowing us to activate if we own content.
We should make it explicitly known to them; knowing Sony they would probably not care and just leave the system as is unless they actually get feedback about it. I'll try to contact them after work and see if I can get a reply.

I played it on Hard Mode (1 hit kill) and yeah it is brutal but in a good way. Thank goodness for checkpoints. I like how the hidden stuff (typically up high) requires some actual skill to get. I think you can switch to easy mode (3 hit kill) at any time, but it is more satisfying beating a level on hard mode.

I avoided playing anything Disgaea till last week during the sale and now I love it all. Strategy games, platformers, and even the visual novel thing. The characters have a lot of charm too dood.
Yeah, I'm playing it on the 1 hit setting since that seems to be the intended way. Wound up playing another hour or two after I posted that.

I found it interesting that at first the game doesn't seem that tight and polished but then there's a revelatory moment where the mechanics click. All of a sudden I'm bouncing off chains of enemies and killing them without touching the ground. Really reminds me a lot of playing Volgar the Viking on XB1. Both games have that Souls like style where everything is very intentional and once you commit to a jump that's it. Then you have these moments in both of those games where it's almost chaos on the screen but then you can find this path through without killing anything if you're deft enough.

Through the first two levels I've used about 160 of my 1000 lives and haven't felt a single death was unfair or entirely my failing. Also about 60 deaths on the two tutorial levels. The check points are perfect too since it makes it quick getting back into the game when you die and breaks the levels up into smaller chunks.

Yes! Come on Sony, where is that $200 128gb memory card?

These sales are hurting my memory card space more than my wallet. 128GB is much needed. LOL
Forget the 128GB. Just give me a Vita 3000 with 500GB installed, longer battery life or a removable battery like the PSP, be able to have more than one profile on it, and be able to play physical games.

Yep, flash sale every month. Many are so-so, some are insanely great.

The $.99 flash sales...... Really tend to hurt the wallet (backlog be damned)
How many 99 cent flash sales have there been? I only recall a couple. I know there have been other sales with some pretty low prices on a few items, but it doesn't seem like that many where everything is 99 cents or a similar particular price point.

I'd have to do some searching but I know 2-3 in about the last year at least. I just renewed my PS+ and I know I missed one... Bunch of racing games I wanted. One was 2-3 months ago, I thought there was another..

There was one this past March, and ones in April & July of last year. I think that was it.

That's a shame. A true CAGer checks the site at LEAST five times a day.
Oh I do... Minimum.

That weekend I was out of town. Got back at like 1am and had to work at 6.. Opened up the phone at lunch to see I missed out on like a dozen games I wanted.

By out of town I mean waaaaaay out of town. I had zero cell service. (fishing)

Well, tonight's the night I go all out.

- Final Fantasy Tactics (ps1)
- Parasite Eve 1
- Vagrant Story
- Citizens Of Earth

Not too bad a price for games I will play for 10 minutes then not play them again until 2-3 years down the road.

Tried out AirMech Arena a bit and it's pretty neat as a dual-stick shooter mixed with an RTS. Didn't even realize it was an Ubisoft game, so the uPlay pop-ups were a surprise. I don't think it'll be something I stick with, but it might be okay for the occasional pop-in.

..I can't even find a way to contact Sony about the Mobile thing. There's a page showing their email addresses for each country - but I can't find one for America. I don't really think asking on the forum would get anything done, and Twitter is just out of the question.

Still can't connect to sfv
Earlier I was able to get in with practically no problems. I got disconnected during a match, but that was probably because of a poor connection between me and the other player. I'm in the US and I think the other player had a Holland flag. There was lag, and I think we just lagged out. Afterwards I was able to log right back in.

Otherwise I never got booted for the hour I played. Although I only got matched for four games during that time.

Afterwards on Neogaf I saw several posts saying they're being matched with other players a lot faster now (then). I decided to start it up again, but I couldn't log in to the server anymore. I'm guessing when I started playing the news hadn't spread that much yet, so I wasn't get matched that often. When it became more well known more people started playing, and matches were able to be made more frequently. And now we're at the point where the servers can't handle everyone again.

I also read this is a stress test. It's not counting towards the amount of beta previews Capcom said they will be doing.

I really don't get why so many people are voting for Grow Home. The game's been on Steam for months, is published by cheapass Ubisoft and is only $8. Meanwhile, Armello is seemingly going to be more expensive and fully releases for both PS4 and Steam on the same day.

Also, would much rather play Armello, as it looks like the bigger/better game, but that's just my preference.

Armello looks great so that was my vote as well. Grow Home just didn't quite appeal to me as much though I'm sure it's great in its own way.

I voted for Armello (Currently #2 in the voting) as well. Just because it seem more interesting than the other two based on the description. A card/board game with RPG like... Those are the three genres I love. Plus I am sure Grow Home will be on sale for half-off or less during the ongoing Ubisoft (Just because it is not on sale now, but it will be) sales through out the year and next for the end of time/PS4/Sony/Ubisoft. And why would people want to play a generic platformer zombie game by the makers of the "smash hit" of Stick It To The Man?

I just want all the people that voted for the zombie game to switch their vote to armello.

Personally, I don't think we'll know anything till after the 'deadline'. And then people will start reporting their findings, and if it's something particularly bad people will complain, and perhaps sony will change it's policy if necessary. I own 20 or so psm games, but I'm not going to worry about it till i know if there's something to be worried about.

Did any of you watch videos of the zombie game? I watched videos of all three and ended up voting for the zombie one. I just liked the sense of humor and art style. Either way we're in for a treat next month. I think all three look great.

I just watched that video, and I agree. I really didn't care for Stick it to the Man, by the same dev, but Zombie Vikings looks like a fun (if mindless) little action game.

However, I'll vote for Armello, then just buy ZV when it goes on sale. Free PS+ games are no big deal to me, and I'd rather just own the games rather than have a "long-term rental".

EDIT: Looks like Zombie Vikings may get a retail box release as a more complete edition:

http://blogjob.com/oneangrygamer/2015/08/zombie-vikings-ragnarok-edition-coming-to-ps4-this-fall/

And the music to the Armello video clip, on the voting page, is excellent!

I was waiting for for another Square Enix PS1 sale. I picked up Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Parasite Eve 1 & 2.

The 16 GB memory card for my Playstation TV is now full. I think next I'll play that PS+ Sly Cooper game from last year. It's taking up 3 GB. Then I'll play Final Fantasy VII for the first time. I thought about waiting for Remake, but I'd like to play it as the game that was so highly praised.

You made the right choice. It's starting to sound like the "remake" is going to be a very different experience, and more of a game based on FF7 than an actual remake.

Because they'd rather save the $8?

Didn't realize Stick It To The Man was bad.

I liked Zombie Vikings too. I also like how it has a single player option so you don't have to use online multiplayer to enjoy it.

I'll end up voting for it, though Grow Home looks good too.

It's Unique not like the other junk

The jokes are so bland, it did not make me laugh. I cringe every time I hear the jokes. It felt like I was watching the Magic School Bus, but fast forwarded to Carlos telling "jokes" all the time. The game-play is generic by thinking it could be like an indie Little Big Planet with reading minds added to it. And calling the game a smash hit when it was on PS+ for the PS4 and on sale for a $1 each (I know it was on sale, but I forgot for how much) for both the Vita and PS3 version is laughable. Best Buy and Gamestop around my way has tons of the PS4 retail version. "Smash hit" it is not.

Log out, go to sign in, uncheck automatically sign in.
There is no log out option that i see though when i have auto sign in turned on. The sign in tab under the network section is just gone

You can store it on your PC with the USB that comes with the Vita (Any third party USB does not work). When you copy the game to your PC, it will also copy your game saves (So you do not need to have plus to back-up saves), any updates for that game (You do not need to redownload the update), and tell you how much space you need to redownload (Right down the MB). Do not use the wireless feature, it sucks.
Really? Nice i never knew that. Do i need some software installed on my PC like hte psp required, or is it pretty much plug and play? I'll have to use that then to have my ps+ games downloaded without having to re download them to shuffle them around

I don't think it's the case anymore, but the game had crash issues at launch that were fixed a while after launch. It's still a good idea to save often so you don't lose progress since the autosave wasn't good when I last played it.

No cross buy.
Damnit. I really dont get why all games are not cross buy. Its whats kept me from getting Child of Eden. Europe got it cross buy, why not us? Meh... i MAY still get it just for the vita but it reallyi irks me that i have to double dip for a friggin digital game

In other news, water is good.

But Sony ain't giving us that either.

Im in California so water.... yea...

which video did you watch? Im having a really tough time deciding. I watched an hour long play session for that board game and it looked pretty interestnig. I thought it may be fun to play with my 9 year old niece but am not sure if it will be too complicated for her. Its really between that and the zombie game. I love 2D beat em ups

The vita will ask you to download the software for free when you plug it in. Both the PC and Vita needs to be online to download it. After that, you just need to plug in your Vita to the PC and operate it from the Vita.

Now if Sony could allow us to transfer PS3 & PS4 games externally, then my life is complete.
