:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Doesn't help. I go there and several of the betas and alphas don't show up in the list but still show up under library. For example, I go to library and I see destiny three times and evolve twice.

Destiny Alpha, Destiny Beta, Destiny
Evolve Alpha, Evolve Beta, etc.

So flash sale friday? I will probably buy TWD season 2 and Wolf Among Us. Think they will be $6 again like last time or cheaper?

I heard season 1 effects TWD season 2 a bit. Is it necessary to replay season 1 or does it not matter that much?
Your confirming TellTale Games is having a flash sale soon? If so, I've been waiting for the Game of Thrones Season Pass to go on sale since I missed the last sale by a few hours.

There are links posted in this thread... and a different thread listing them as well.

The first posting the links listed may still work, just not showing the actual sale prices.

Thanks. I thought it was a TellTale Games specific Flash sale. Looks like it only Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead episodes on sale produced by TellTale Games.

Anyone interested in that "Until Dawn" game, comes out on the 25th. I hope it gets good reviews
We'll probably have to wait Until Tuesday

anybody have an extra BO3 beta code?
sent

Unlikely. I decided to pause the download and hook my PS4 straight to the modem: EDIT: Okay, three hours left! It just decided to start working.
I have to run through the bridge connection on my PC since I'm too far away for the wireless through the system so sometimes it's just stops for no reason

Damn. Was hoping for a Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate sale. Figures the Arkham Knight season pass is on discount already, but I've got no regrets getting it a few weeks ago. Never buy DLC and this is one the few games worth it to me. The Batgirl DLC was fun and the 1989 DLC is a blast.

You don't need PS+ to play the cod blops 3 beta by the way, gave my extra to my buddy and he doesnt have PS+ and we were able to play a few games tonight

its pretty meh, if you like COD its more of the same.  If you are a battlefield/destiny/titanfall/etc kind of guy it won't change your mind.

yikes, any way to petition for mgs deals or anything? i'd like to play metal gear solid 1 or 2  before mgs v but they are expensive considering how old they are.

I am loving Zombi, but the foggy, green hue of the game is causing my eyes to ache after only 20-30 minutes of play.

Same thing was happening when I was playing through BloodBorne.

I have two Black Ops 3 Beta tokens available if anyone is interested.  They'll go to the first two to message me.

Both have been claimed.

I don't know why, but this was the first thought that came to my mind, it will be free via PS+ soon.
Damm now I'm having second thoughts about buying it, but the first peggle never went on PS plus nor any other pop game. (I think plants vs zombies was the only one)

Is it like Shadow Wars where it's a surprisingly solid take on a genre you didn't expect or just a bad portable port?
I wouldn't mention it if it was bad.

I doubt it'll happen with EA Access around.

Thanks a lot , and great review by the way.

Can't believe I downloaded the blops beta 12+ hours ago and it's still not ready. Thanks for that exclusive sony. Comcast you suck too. I'm never going digital.

Personally, I recommend asking Frisky if they'll go on sale - just pop in every week or so. He'll quickly get annoyed, but that's okay... eventually he'll relent and ensure they'll go on sale.

Persistence is a plus - remember, that one guy asked for a Disgaea 2 sale as the first post on the PS Blog for what felt like years (years!) and he finally was granted his wish just a few weeks ago. Had he been pestering Frisky on cag, it would only have taken a few months.

For Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2, just buy the Legacy Collection version and they are bundled in.  MGS1 as a download code along with MGS VR Missions.  The others on disc.

It's $35 on Amazon, which is a lot less for all those games than V is going to cost and lower than it's original release cost of $50.

...

Noticing all the Blops3Beta talk, I checked my spam box and sure enough my codes from PSN were there.  I say "My" but I mean my youngest son's as he actually is the one that used his birthday money for the preorder.  Anyway, the beta and something else were unlocked for "free" on my account so I cued them up to download.  The PSN preorder threw in two extra codes which I'm sure he'll want to give to his friends so don't nag me.  :speaktothehand:

Downloads will always be a bit slower when everyone is rushing to download the same thing, but in general they'll only improve over time as infrastructure improves.

However, if we didn't have digital... you wouldn't be able to play the beta at all, unless maybe you waited a month for the next issue of some gaming magazine to come out that had a bluray demo disc included. We'd all have long since downloaded it, though.

And then once they put out a patch for the beta, you'd be screwed again.

Affa, don't get me wrong there are serious benefits to digital gaming like you mentioned in your post.

I just can't abandon physical copies right now.

Especially with the GCU deals best buy is offering.

Oh, i know. I prefer physical for a lot of games since I can resell, although I prefer to go completely digital for my vita.

I was just sort of pointing out digital is absolutely perfect for something like betas.

Last Friday in very un-CAG manner I bought the BF4 Premium bundle assuming it'd never go on sale. Even buying a physical copy used and then picking up the DLC cost more than the bundle, so whatever, I dropped $60 on it total.

Of course it's on sale this week! So after kicking myself all morning I gave PSN live support chat a shot and was pleasantly surprised. Without hesitation they hooked me up with $24 worth of PSN vouchers and thanked me for my loyalty. Now I can afford "I Am Bread" on release day guilt-free  :D/

tl;dr version — Bought BF4 full price last week, felt like an idiot today, hit up PSN support and they credited me the difference  :D/

I know this probably isn't the right place to ask this but figured I'd get a quicker response here. Is there a way to co figure a PSTV to use the analogue stick instead of the D-Pad for PS1 games?

I found through a search that you can do it on Vita through settings on the touch screen, but can't seem to find anything for PSTV configuration.

Anyone else that has played the BLOPS3 Beta have a ps4 sounding like it's going to blow up?

It has never been so loud before...but with this beta it's like a wind turbine...

(on a side now, if you do play the beta, make sure your secondary is not equip and you can fisticuff people to death)

Hold down the PS button and click on settings next to the game's name, which is also how it's done on Vita.

I'm somewhat enjoying BLOPS 3.

I did a wall run and jumped into the water, swam under a water cavern, and stabbed someone in the back in a very quick chain combo-esque way which made me feel like a bad ass. Also that bow (Sparrow?) is so fun to use.

With that said, they're launching way to close to Fallout 4. I can't see myself buying it at launch but probably will after. I fully assume Fallout 4 will consume my November.

Driveclub's new update is out now. Here's a sampling of what it adds:

  • Sprint time trial races for a bunch of the existing tracks, which are smaller sections of track to test your skills.
  • Increases the Drive level cap to 75 with new rewards for each level, including a Renault R.S. 01 for reaching 66.
  • New car stats on the vehicle select screen.
  • Leaderboards for Tour events.
Plus a lot of smaller stuff.

Color Guardians got a new update with a new difficulty mode that is a bit easier than what was already there. You can also customize the controls if you think of a better way to play the game.

I've been sitting in a Lobby for 30minutes waiting for a Black Ops 3 game to start, what is going on.

I keep seeing "Checking Quality for 0 of 48 matches"

I'm sure Frisky knows the answer to this. Is Canada a different region for PSN (and eShop)? In the great frozen north right now and the exchange rate is quite favorable on the off chance they would happen to work.

Probably my favorite affa post of all time.

Sony's taking sign-ups to help beta test the upcoming firmware update for the PS4 when it goes live in early September. You can roll back to the current update if you decide that you don't want to keep using the beta firmware.

Also:

Signed up for the beta.. and the snail's pace rollout of PlayStation Vue has caused me to look at other options especially with football starting in 3 weeks.. looks like it's the Xbox One TV Tuner and Sling TV combo for the immediate future.

These Tom Clancy PSP sales break my head every time.

One one hand, they're cheap -- but no so cheap that they're a no brainer.

On the other hand, I'll never play them, they get terrible reviews, and I don't need to spend the money.

But I like them on PS3...  and I always wonder if the reviews are being overly judgemental or if using the second analog on the vita will somehow improve them.
