The ironic part is that I only put it in spoilers because I felt my story was getting too long and I wanted to save space, but then Therm quoted it in its entirety.

Dropping knowledge bombs like they're hot in the PSTV/PS4 Cartwheel deal thread. So much dum. I feel so so cold whenever I leave here. Hold me.
I liked a few of your posts there and here with regards to the deal. I even posted what you said is what happened for me today.

I am not going to hold you though.

i might be jumping on the pstv wagon as well. got some early christmas money yesterday. guess that depends on if i get my wife her wii u back later, and if i don't drive out to best buy to get mario kart and hyrule warriors. oh, and possibly lego batman 3 for vita($20 pre-gcu)
I grabbed Lego Batman 3 for Vita right after I was done at Target. I had $15 in BB rewards. $1.07 once the young girl figured out how to apply my GCU discount. Never had an issue on purchasing games. Just trading them.

Finished up Stealth Inc. as well as Festival of Blood. I had more fun with Stealth than I thought I would...fun little game.

I liked Festival of Blood but I wasnt crazy about those UGC missions done by Sucker Punch...made it feel a little rushed. Pretty short even for a mini stand alone. It seemed fairly easy as there didnt seem to be a reason to power up much and it seemed like you could bypass a lot of the fighting. The atmosphere and decorated world was pretty sweet though...i could see it being a Halloween favorite.

Ended up getting the pstv, but not from target. Lady was adamant that you couldn't use cartwheel with a price match. I wasn't going to make a scene over it though. So I just matched it at Walmart with the Wii U, and used my employee discount. Did find a steelbook copy of beyond two souls at GS for 10.

Yea should have waited on the ps tv. Got when it released for 89 thanks to a 10 dollar coupon through amazon.

Dont get me wrong, got a TON of use out of it with remote play on the ps4, but didnt think the price would drop that fast on it.
In what scenario would you use PS tv for remote ps4 play? At a different house, or a different TV in the same house?

Where'd you get stuck?
I don't remember exactly, it was a long time ago (on 360). I think there was two of some enemy that was a bitch to fight and normally there was only one and I just couldn't get past it. Not a boss or anything. Maybe something that changed forms? I dunno. I never tried again, but I picked it up on ps3 to start fresh someday.

Anchorman 2 is dumb as fuck.

Two in the cake, and one in the puddin'.

Soph, how did you manage a 368 day trophy streak? That blows my mind to bits. I'm at 29 currently and feel like a boss. I can't imagine being able to keep it going for a whole year.

Just deleted Natural Doctrine.  :D/

Sure is a shame they didn't polish up the mechanics on that. So many small, tedious annoyances that brought the game down from being a very solid and different sRPG.

For some reason, Island Mode feels more fun in Danganronpa 2 compared to School Mode in the first, though I don't think anything really changed.

The Talos Principle is fantastic so far. It really reminds me of a more serious Portal game. I've barely scratched the surface, but it might just end up being one of my favorite games this year

Any of you Fire TV or Fire TV stick owners have issues with the netflix app? Mine regularly doesnt connect, crashes, times out, and when I do get something streaming it buffers at least once a minute.

unsurprisingly, the prime streaming works perfectly. So its not a network issue. I just much prefer the netflix selection and UI. this thing is very close to going back.

Used netflix earlier to watch a movie and I've had no problems so far. I'm using the Fire TV Stick

Any of you guys ever play Xcom Declassified? It's one of those games I totally forgot existed until now. Since it is readily available for cheap, I'm considering checking it out.

Word of advice: don't order a new phone through Best Buy because they will act as if they have zero power when they screw up and make you go through multiple visits just to return the phone and get to square one. Gonna have to go through a fifth visit just to  set things hopefully straight.

They will also, of course, take zero responsibility for their screw up even when you have physical evidence when they screw up and try to lie about it. Escalate that shit immediately.

Huh. I didn't realize the poll is broken. If you do "View Results" without having voted first, it counts as a vote and then you can't vote afterwards, nor can you View Results again. Both options say you've already voted. You have to delete your null vote to use either option afterwards. Odd that "View Results" triggers a vote entry.  :whistle2:k

It's not broken, that's just the way it works. The button for view results says "null vote" in parentheses.

Just realized I never sent in my Yakuza 4 copy to Amazon. Checked the TIV and it bumped from 10.29 to 11. Cancelled and re-submitted.  :D/

I'm tempted to keep waiting a week and re-submitting if it goes up, but I know at some point I'd forget and lose it and the whole thing would come tumbling down.

Yeah, I meant broken by design. It's clear I understood how it works from my post. It's just a really dumb way to design a vote function. Until I tried it I thought they just used the wrong word--that they should have said "No Vote" instead of "Null Vote." Nope--they really did mean what they said. I can't think of a single reason to have programmed it that way, though.

Oh so you meant it doesn't work the way you want, and that makes it broken. Got ya.

Yep, exactly that.

http://www.yourdictionary.com/broken

broken

Verb

past participle of break

Adjective

(comparative more broken, superlative most broken)

3. Non-functional; not functioning properly.

I think my doorbell broken.

a. (of an electronic connection) Disconnected, no longer open or carrying traffic.

b. (software, informal) Badly designed or implemented.

This is the most broken application I've seen in a long time.

I wish my computer made coffee for me each morning. Stupid thing is badly designed, guess it's broken.
Yeah. One thing you may want to be aware of is that language usage varies quite a bit among different groups of people. It can be used differently based on location, profession, social class, etc.. Not sure if you clicked on the link but that page has six different definitions of the word.

One thing you may want to be aware of is that thinking something is broken just because you don't like it doesn't make you smarter than everyone else. It just makes you a douche.

I'm a programmer and part of my job, quite literally, is to focus on application design. One important element of design is consistency with expectations. Presenting the user with the same functionality they're expecting goes a long way in making an application intuitive. If a user has seen something work a particular way thousands of times on other websites or in other programs, providing them with the same interface borrows from their previous experience and gives the user expectations on how the application will work. "View Results" is something I've seen hundreds of times on different sites and locations. I'm sure that some other applications do submit a vote when you click that button, but it's not the standard approach nor does it make sense from any functionality standpoint.

The only benefit I can think of to making somebody submit a vote before seeing the results is to prevent people from being influenced by the existing poll results. Hiding the results would be a good way to combat that, but that's negated by the Delete Vote functionality anyway.

You're constantly hostile towards me and the posts I make. You frequently jump in to say my opinions or statements are bad, then bail as soon as I ask you to back up your comments. You're either an idiot or an asshole. I like how you bring being smarter than you to the table. I'm going to have to agree with that. If you were just an asshole you'd be able to back it up.

Therm, yes the poll voting functionality could be better.  But your decision to not vote before wanting to look at the results could be better too.  If you care about seeing the results why the fuck wouldnt you vote first anyway?  Then you wouldnt have this problem and could have saved yourself some aggravation.

I'm pretty sure I've backed up what I've said this morning, unless you've just ignored all my posts.

I'm hostile towards you because, quite honestly, I don't like you. You have this elitist mentality and think that your opinions are better than everyone else's. If someone's opinion differs, you call them unintelligent in a roundabout way.

It clearly says null vote on the view results button. Null means to have no value. If it tells you your vote will have no value, how can you say it is broken?

C'est la vie LoS2 psnp card.  I hardly knew thee.

Instead I have this dumb fuck "welcome park" card.  Yuck.  What have I done with my life Pete/NotPete/Mild?
