We used to go camping and take over night trips to the science center and zoo etc. It was awesome. I loved the outdoors and nature and all that, but adding girls to the mix, especially during my teenage years, made it awesome. I was like 15/16 and it was a bunch of 18/19 y/o chix. It wasn't like any of us were dating, it was just like co ed slumber parties and I never remember there being any other guys. I just remember alot of good times. Damn i miss being a teenager and being surrounded by so much willing strange.

No, it wasn't bad. It took me about 10 hours but that's because I was getting all the side-stuff as well. Doing those two sets of friend quests, finding all the hidden items, getting the two swords, etc.. If you're just rushing through the end bosses it shouldn't take you long assuming you've got decent gear and are leveled sufficiently.

He's talking about urban explorers. It's not an official thing anywhere (afaik) but rather people who go out and explore abandoned buildings and stuff. Check this out:

no im talking a legit thing we did. i got sick of boyscouts but my dad wanted me to always be doing stuff like that. my school was all guys rotc but it wasn't enough. I think they changed the name to venturing. It was an official thing tho. like a bunch of religious chix that wanted to rebel. and we got to sleep in tents. yeah it was awesome. let me find some links. but yeah we def did the abandoned buildings stuff too. I live in MO and you can find like 2-3 ghost towns in festus. plus the whole 'times beach' thing...

Interesting--I'd never heard of those groups. Urban exploration popped into mind as something right up your alley as soon as you said exploration, though.

If you get that I want a Bionic Commando collection and a new game. Too bad no one liked the last game even though it was a lot of fun.
I liked the PS3 Bionic Commando. I liked it a lot. It was one of the first PS3 games I played that felt "large" with the verticality of the swing arm. It was perfectly campy too. Even if they didnt mean it to be. I am pissed I never got the plat cause all I had left was the hard run and I got stuck in a section with the snipers if I remember right and lost interest.

I am pretty sure some others here liked it as well so you are not alone!

Yeah. It was called Explorers and now it's called Venturing.

I guess it's for kids who grew out of Scouting and still needed to fullfill their nerdy conformist impulses. (No offense, Velo)

On my honor, I will do my best. To do my duty....

(Quit scouting somewhere around freshman year of high school.)

Capcom should package the DuckTales remake with remakes (or old versions whatevs) of all their Disney Afternoon games.

fucking Rescue Rangers

fucking Darkwing Duck

fucking TailSpin

fucking gold mine.

Every game company that was around in the 80s and is still operating today should release all their old games along with remakes and remakes of remakes.  Make it happen or people start dying!

That game wasn't too bad. The swinging made the multiplayer fast paced and fun even if it was a little lacking in content. Also, I remember the plat for it being pretty annoying. It had collectibles that would reset when you die and basically all the trophies were like the challenges in arkham origins, except when you reach the end of the game, there's no new game + and you're fucked if you didn't complete them all. Rearmed was really good, too.

Yep, you had to get all the challenges in one go. Thankfully I read the guide before I started playing so I knew this and with that info doing all the challenges wasnt too hard. What I like about them was that you had to use every weapon multiple times in some creative ways. It was really fun.

Only a handful of you regularly visit Gamestop, but as an FYI one of the b-day coupons that was supposed to expire at the end of May is apparently live for another month: EBC30048058

Write that down on a slip of paper or just recite it to the employee (safer that way so you don't leave a paper trail) to get 20% off a used game.

My very first trophy was from Bionic Commando.  They had some poor design choices like the collectibles that were mentioned, but it was a fun and tough game.

Oh nice you have almost all the trophies. I guess I stopped somewhat close to the end. Maybe I was trying to do it all in one playthrough or something and got frustrated with it. I was just looking for the game now, lol. Couldn't find it.

Man, you must be lucky where you are to have a GameStop accept a verbal coupon. None of the stores around me (and I suspect most others here) would ever go for that.

I think I recall Festus, didn't some guy kill a rent-a-chimp there once? I remember my local radio station laughing at that story and they put it on one of their year end comedy cd's. He said the monkey charged him but witnesses said the chimp was picking flowers.

Oh snap!

Super Meat Boy coming to PS4 & Vita!
Haha, there was this group of guys I used to play 360 with back in the day and one of them was really cheap and didn't want to pay to renew his gold sub, so he kept asking around the group for anyone that had a free trial code. Someone told him that they'd give him the trial but they were going to activate it first and choose his name for him.

Name given? SuperBoyMeat

I have heard the name Uwe Boll before, but don't know anything about him. Apparently he has enough money to play golf for the rest of his life, but is upset that people didn't give him money on Kickstarter to make some shitty movie. Posts a " fuck you all" video on youtube 3 days before the end of the not likely to succeed campaign.
fuck him and his shitty movies.

"and goodbye hollywood"........... Yeah right, don't we all wish.

I know you're not being serious/confrontational, but you're also not wrong. I don't think I was negative or showed bias in the article, but the fact that this is something I noticed and chose to write about is itself indicative of the Sony-leaning of Inverted Access. Since we are heavily Sony focused, when we post positive articles about Sony we do open ourselves up for criticism.

It's not going to stop me from writing about Sony (and usually in a positive manner since I don't love writing about negative and controversial things) but it's certainly an issue we still face.

We did add this to our About Us page a while back:

Q: I’ve noticed most of your reviews are done on Sony consoles and many of the games are Sony console-exclusives. What’s up with that?

Inverted Access was started by friends who met online in a Sony video game forum and Sony is all of our main gaming platform of choice. Inverted Access itself is not solely Sony-focused because we don’t want to exclude ourselves from reporting on all the cool news that is revealed for other gaming platforms. Future expansion plans include bringing in contributors who use other platforms for the majority of their gaming time, but right now there is an unavoidable lean towards Sony news and content.

I just tell them that I memorized the coupon code because it isn't that long and they usually don't mind. Once or twice I've gotten an employee who was adamant on taking a physical coupon, but in those cases I would ask for a blank paper slip (they'd print out a blank receipt) and write down the code. This never happened at any of my local stores, though, so the paper-trail possibility isn't really an issue.

Looks like the 50% bonus at Gamestop hasn't been extended another week.
Guess I will probably hold onto my copy of the Evil Within then. For $8 not worth trading it. Will see if GS or BB do something better in the next few weeks. Unless that other deal you mentioned about buying a new game pans out to be worth something.

As someone who worked at GameStop for nearly six years, I think most of you would like to know those coupons are thrown in the shredder at the end of the day. There's no paper trail, Vig is just super paranoid because that's what happens when you're constantly doing shady shit.
