I got my golds from the newegg deal that happen shortly before the target deal. I'm pretty sure they were under $60..I think $45-50 if using Google wallet or something

I think I paid around $69 but got something back. I tried to get in on the NewEgg deal but it sold out right after it was in my cart. Still if someone missed out on previous deals $60 isn't bad. Doesn't matter anyway I think it sold out already.

I picked up a year of PSN for $30 two years ago. $40 is now the best you are going to do really.

I've still got high hopes. At first I thought they had to move it to Preparing Order to cancel, but Vig's order being cancelled from Order Received indicates otherwise. It may be some of us will get these GCs.

It's funny that with all the metal you talk about, you're a big silversun pickups fan. Ok go did the same thing with their last album and I got a bunch of stuff from it. I'll check this out when I'm not at work since they apparently block pledgemusic along with everything else in the world.

 
I am terrible at Geometry Wars.  I just spent a half hour trying to get the third star...on the third level.  And I have been trying for days now.  I think I am finally getting better but I think there must be a trick to this that I am missing.

Based on what Crunchnmunch said, it's only on Prime Now. You can download the app off of Itunes or Google Play but all you'll be able to do is wish you lived in one of the few areas it's active in.

Na I dont want to buy it, I just like looking at TV deals. First thing IMA do when officially divorced is buy me a fancy new big screen. I was looking at 75 inchers at Best Buy when I picked up GoW yesterday.

here's the trick I guess - after some number of stars or levels you get the collector perk. upgrade it to the max. it flies around and picks up geoms for you. geoms are all that matter. they make your score get big. once you don't have to worry so much about picking up geoms you can just dodge and shoot stuff and it makes it a ton easier to get three stars. I don't understand how people go through the levels and three star them before progressing - I just plowed ahead until I got the collector and turret and then it usually takes one try to three star any previous levels.

once you get the turret perk save it until you're cornered and out of bombs or the timer is about to run out - weapon perks (homing missles, turrets, etc) give points when they kill stuff. bombs don't. you're a twin stick wizard so I expect you'll be fine.

p.s. mild loves geometry wars

Thanks man. I was just reading about these perks. I figured I was missing something by not continuing to the next level and beyond. Even though I was getting my ass handed to me I kept wanting to play to get better. So I am hooked for sure. Just call me Kracker.

 
Hmmm. Redeem the Prime trial for stuff I want (laptop, 3DS [Cmon Vita sale], DBZ) OR wait for a PSN Flash Sale on stuff I may not want and buy it anyway.

I still don't see why anyone would buy the New 3DS as there's only one game out for it and I don't think they've announced any others.  Seems like a huge fuckup.

It's also faster and the c-stick can be used for games that supported the add-on right stick thing, and the 3D is much improved with the face tracking. Maybe some other stuff.

I remember the Ghostbusters game was pretty decent 5 years ago, but its probably terribly hard to look at now. Sanctum is hard to look at and is pretty shitty but if you have someone to play with it can be fun. I dont remember if it has online though? If someone gets it and it does have online I would be down to play. It is twin stick after all. And 4 players.

Nevermind, local only. Thats why it sucks even more.

Yeah Mild, collecting was the real reason I was dying.  So without even seeing that video (blocked at work need to get my phone), I understand that will help immensely.  I was oh so close to 15Mil (about 14.98) on one run of level 3 but the rest of my runs were not close because I couldnt get near the geoms without dying.

I played unfinished code that was missing a few minor visual effects, but Bluepoint’s loving influence was readily apparent. The studio is upgrading character models, environment textures, lighting, and special effects across the board, bringing all three games as close to visual modernity as possible while ensuring they remain true to their original creative direction.

As the studio finalizes work on the collection, it will also roll in the assorted control scheme tweaks, gameplay refinements, and subtle mechanical upgrades that evolved through the series across all three games, bringing them into closer gameplay parity.

Though my experiences with the game were brief, they were encouraging. You’ll get to see for yourself when a playable demo launches on the PlayStation Store later this summer.

Man, still rolling along.  Under 5500 world rank on PSNP.  Also got my TT lead on Tyler and Simmias back over 7K.  Its fleeting I know but nice to know I can stay ahead of them a little while longer.

A buddy of mine talked about that for a while. He wanted to divorce his wife and quit his job so he wouldnt have to give her anything. I told him that was bull shit cause he needs weed and he needs money for that. He was like yeah your right. And he chickened out on divorcing her anyway. I knew he was a chicken shit!

A guy here at work I used to game with on XBox360 on occasion is going through a divorce and was pretty down a few months ago and was like fuck what will she do if I quit my job and sit in my parent basement. He was probably half serious. Hope I never have to deal with this shit.

did you actually set yourselves up as goalies and get the saves trophy legit or did you farm it somehow?  I thought about just doing an exhibition and hitting it towards my own goal slowly and saving it while I was watching tv tonight but if saves come up often enough while playing normally I'll just skip that nonsense.

I was going to do that but played some 2 on 2 with bots and was able to get it in like a few games. I was closer then I thought.

Play with people online and be a goalie. Dont farm it unless you dont get it through normal play. You have to play 165 matches anyway. Youll likely get it naturally.

EDIT: Actually I never played as goalie and still got 20 saves fairly early on. Probably half way through the 165 matches.

I'll get some mass effect if the price is right. Wasn't the collection $5 or $10 in a recent sale? I sold my physical copy thinking a ps4 remaster was coming, but pretty doubtful of that now.
