I'm waiting in line to see a short movie at the 911 museum. Yoga pants aside every human being on earth should see this place. It is very moving and well done.

Simmias covered this, but I'll add my experience.

Using my Sony Bluray player, I went to the Vudu app. I was trying to find an area to enter my UV info. Couldn't find anything. So I navigated to MI 1. It gave option to rent or buy, but there was also a small UV symbol too. Due to their partnership, I imagine all movies available on UV shows that symbol on Vudu.

So, on my phone I went to UV site and navigated to the "where to watch" area. There was a Vudu icon. I clicked it, and it took me to their site. I set up the "free account" and at the end of the process it asks for a credit card or pay pal info. I closed the link figuring it wouldn't let me open a "free" account without giving them a payment option for future purchases, however I looked up at the TV and the option to rent or buy MI 1 had already refreshed and changed to allow me to simply watch it. All 4 movies are now available to watch. It was pretty slick.

If you haven't set it up yet, hopefully this helps.
I already had a Vudu and UV account with a bunch of movies on them, so that's why I was confused.

I ended up deleting the Vudu app and redone loading it and it asked me to sign in then, so all my movies are there now, including the 4 MI ones.

This is going to be controversial, but I watched some of Ghostbusters with my kids and... it wasn't really that funny. Certainly didn't live up to what I remembered it being like. They weren't impressed either, I think, as neither of them has requested to see the rest of it since. I'm sure I should go back and watch the whole thing, but I haven't felt motivated to do that.

Back to the Future, on the other, that was a hit with them and me again.
The first Ghostbusters is definitely still great, and funny. The kids like it too. I haven't watched the 2nd one in years though.
My son just begged me to watch it so we had our first viewing. I was hesitant because he's only 7 and thought he might get too scared. Didn't phase him one bit. He thought it was funny and really liked it, but did say that the special effects were bad.

so, he fucked up by not cheaping out on the game like konami wanted him to? i'm still on kojima's side on this one. i have no problems with things being delayed to make them better. either way, konami was going to end up going to mobile. sounds like he made the right call trying to make mgs v the best he could.

Dear Diary: (even though that is someone else's bit)

Went to Target today to get the oldest a new bike for his birthday.

Bought it, and when the customer service lady wheeled it up front she asked if I knew about the cartwheel 30% off today.

She proceeds to credit me for the sale and then re-ring me up to give me the discount, she couldn't quite figure out how to do all that with my red card 5% already used, so she just ended up giving me $10 cash  to close the deal.

After dragging one of the other kids around the store and having to stop her from asking the Latinas about their eyebrows, I was just glad to be done with it.

You can use Dear Diary even if it's someone else's bit because it was made to make fun of you anyway.

Turns out you dont need to do the challenge maps on Uber difficulty. I thought you would get more points per kill or something, since it adds another higher tier medal score. So with that it is pretty easy. Lots of room to fuck up score combos and stuff if youre only going for gold. Anyway, plat done. Hopefully TIV stays the same tomorrow.

It's 2015, smart people don't waste their time with discs.
I know, right? It did kinda suck going to the library and pulling it off the shelf where it had my name on it and then walking out with it a minute later. It was hot outside!

But yeah, it occurred to me after I posted that probably everyone had it from a gs or something because you're all hip and I'm perpetually stuck in the 90s. I didn't think the discs were supposed to be accessed after they installed these days, it's weird.

I am about half way through my first playthrough on one notch up from the lowest. Enjoying the game but not sure I am going to try and plat it anytime soon. I assume I have to play it through one notch down from Uber and then do the Uber glitch on the last chapter?

I'm watching this speenrun on twitch, must be some sort of speedrun convention with the 90k views, and damn does this dude make me cringe but I can't stop watching.

Also Final Horizon veterans, how many hours did it take you to finish the grind (2500 kills) after you beat the game?  Only about 1200 tank kills and 40 scarab kills.

Started on Madness Returns. Loving the art design, it's great. So far I like the weapons a lot more (I just beat Menacing Ruin, so I've got up the the umbrella) and I've absolutely no complaints about the platforming. The collectibles would probably be annoying but I am using a guide which makes it straightforward enough to not be an issue. Only problem I've had so far is that the framerate dips pretty noticeably on occasion. It's not game-breaking, but it does hurt the game a bit.

games done quick is a nerd haven. It's cool that they raise so much money, but the people that do the speed runs are people that have probably drawn maps of level 6-6 in yoshis island from memory to optimize their next 3000 playthroughs. speed runners are a different breed for sure, but that's cool. everyone has a niche I reckon.

He's supposed to be the project manager, so yes, going over budget is fucking up. His job was literally to make the game to predefined specifications within a planned time frame and cost. If he can't do that he shouldn't be the project manager and instead should just be limited to writing or whatever with somebody else running the show and telling him what to do. Konami is a business and it can't afford to put the company and all its employees on the line for the whims of an artist suffering from lack of restraint.

Nah. Uber is unlocked from the beginning so probably can play it on whatever difficulty you want.

Based on that, Kojima sounds like the video game equivalent of Paul Heyman.  Great creative mind for the business he's in and the product he's producing but zero business acumen on the financial side

Or Tim Schafer as I originally compared him to. Schafer has a history of going over-budget, over-time, and under-features on his games.

I think I'm getting the hang of parrying, I wish it was one button though instead of having to press 2 simultaneously. I figured out that if you aim your kick (R3) at their knee, they'll fall to the ground allowing you a free shot.

Also apparently as a legacy of the gamespy servers going down (I had no idea Condemned 2 had multiplayer) if you are connected to the internet when you boot up the game, the system will do a soft reset when you quit the game.

Found this and others on my phone. Thank god the bouncer didn't see me taking these. The Asian chick is the one getting the lap dance.

The TT page for Alice: Madness Returns:

Total of 51 Alice: Madness Returns trophies (45 excl DLC)

1,739 tracked gamers have this game, 436 have completed it (25.07%) | 1 wants to boost
...what exactly is there to boost? =P~

god of war 3 is so much better than ascension was.  it's got to be one of the best games from last gen.  the game is smooth, fun to look at, has variety in locales/enemy design/ways to dispatch said enemies, the difficulty isn't terrible and they're stupid generous with checkpoints.  so it gets to be just fun even when you accidentally waltz off a cliff four times in a row.  plus there's hilarious sex and music qtes.  I don't think I'd get tired of standing in that room with the smithy and watching his gigantic body do its little animation loop.

I just got to

hera's garden - is this really a spoiler?

how much is left?  I'll probably go look at a walkthrough anyways, but I was surprised how far I made it over the weekend.  either there isn't _that_ much left or this game is a lot shorter than I remember.

Do you think I should play Ascension after Ghost of Sparta instead of going straight to GoW3 after GoS?

Ghost of Sparta had some really dumb checkpoint locations. Stuff like "Open this Gorgon Eye chest and that Minotaur horn chest, then open a door to a difficult fight." Or "Go through this wall crawl section, knock down this pillar, then go on to a difficult fight." Every time you fail the fight you have to go through the tedious steps and animations again. Pretty silly and I'm hoping GoW3 improved upon that.

as with all series play them in the order they were released. ascension is fine and a quickie plat, but it doesn't feel as complete and thought out as #3. and there's some real douchetastic boss battles.

But wasn't Ascension released after GoW3? I should plat the better game first?
