If your ever in LA check out the Dresden. They have Marty and Elayne who've been playing there for over 33 years every day. They have some famous celebrities that show up on occasion to sing with them like Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage & David Lynch, etc.

This restaurant was shown in the movie Swingers and shows Marty & Elyane performing.  The last time I went there I have a friend that knows Marty and when we walked in he points over to the Swingers booth for the people to leave and we got prime seating.

We went out to the parking lot to go smoke and Marty is old school and pulls out a corn cob pipe and matches. I offered him a lighter and tells me he likes using matches.

Yeah Reggie Cobb was pretty good on an awful team. He made a great run one game where he flipped over the d line head over heels landed on his feet and raced for a to yard td. Forget the game though.

Also Mike Alstott was great and a fan fav. But he might be the dumbest person on the planet. He makes cags the main deals thread look like mensa candidates.

Me and my brother and Dad would always hang around the Marriott Hotel near the arena where the Jazz played because it was almost always the hotel the players stayed at.  It was connected to a mall so we sometimes saw players walking around too.  Saw Glen Rice in a novelty boxer shorts store.  Pretty sure I've told this story before.

And I saw Shawn Bradley at the pizza place by my work.  That dude is tall as fuck.

You guys and your fucking 80's comedies. I'm pretty sure the 80's was the unfunniest decade ever.
Uhh....what? Have you even seen this movie? It's totally awesome:

No, we were talking about this earlier with the Christmas movies. If it's set at Christmas, it's a Christmas movie. If it's set in the 80s, it's an 80s movie. Get it?
I specifically remember people declaring that just because it took place during Xmas, that doesn't make it a Christmas movie. I think you were the one that categorized shit into Christmas Christmas, kinda Christmas, and background Christmas.

Welp just got out of interview. Apparently someone higher than the two people I interviewed with need to review my packet.

Yep. I mean, I never said that category stuff, but yep....

It was a ridiculous response to Tyler thinking I thought Wedding Singer was an 80s movie, by the way. :whistle2:

You guys and your fucking 80's comedies. I'm pretty sure the 80's was the unfunniest decade ever.
You must be masterbaitiNG with this. The fact that caddyshack and ghostbusters is from that decade makes your statement moot.

Edit: Forgot fast times and major league too! Lot of shitty stuff on there too though, and good ones I wouldn't label comedy like Bttf and et.

Lets see how many people will keep quoting this list.

Unfortunately I have to agree with tyler. The 80s weren't all that great, although I did like a lot of 80s television. I'm not sure it was funny, but it was fun.

Cheesy funny stories involving Kevin Bacon and Selma Hayek:

Kevin Bacon: First of all, this was about 2001 or 2002 and Kyra Sedgwick was very attractive in person. The restaurant I worked for was a latin american fusion place that was really well know for making table-side guacamole. I am at their table making the guacamole and when I am finished they try it and Kyra says "wow this is really good guacamole" and Kevin says with the biggest shit eating grin "yeah, it's rockamole." I just looked at him like really?

Selma Hayek: The restaurant was in the Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, which is owned by relatives of Edward Norton. He had the movie release party for that artsy movie he produced with Selma Hayek "Freda" at the museum and restaurant. The owner of the museum was speaking with one of the curators of the museum that handled the art work that went into the restrooms (yes, they had artwork in the restrooms). Selma walked by and the owner introduced the curator to Selma and mentioned he curated the artwork in the restrooms and Selma looked at him and said completely stone-faced "well, the next time I am taking a shit in there, I will remember to check it out." Once I heard that, I was in love.

Guess that cements my bastard status!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of the greatest movies of all time. Anyone in disagreement likes dicks.
I just watched it for the first time recently. It was good, but also a bit weird because it felt like they were setting up for a 2nd movie that never happened. By that I'm referring to the Cameron/Sloane interaction--that whole thing popped up early and was persistent enough that I expected something to happen there by the end of the movie but it just never got resolved.
