Yeah but the 1GB of cloud storage on PS4 is unforgivable. The article is slanted, but in a way that is a call to action for Sony, hopefully. I'm all for it.

That part of it is factually correct, yes, but by being so one-sided and implying that you get nothing else for the $50 it's easy to dismiss. "Well, you get all this other stuff which the article didn't address at all," etc.. 1GB is ridiculous and needs to be fixed, but misrepresenting the features of PS+ isn't the right approach.

I wouldn't say he's implying you get nothing else for that $50. Only (aggressively) noting that sony has stuck cloud saves behind a paywall whereas microsoft hasn't. And microsoft is still handling them better.

Seriously need increased space though, I hit my limit with rocket league and its crazy file size.

This reminds me of back when I was in high school ('90-'94), and me and a couple of buddies started a Free Mike Tyson 'Club' after he was sent to prison. We bought iron-on-letters and made t-shirts that we wore to school that said 'Free Mike Tyson'. One of the guys was a really good artist and drew a caricature of Tyson that we copied and taped to the front of our textbooks and notebooks. Our club motto was, 'She wanted it!'. We never really got in trouble, the novelty of it just wore off. Aww, the stupidity of one's teenage years.

My take is that it was a catch and then he fell into the bullpen after taking 3 steps, doing a triple axle, and a backflip. Should have been ruled an out. Had it not been the third out, the runner on 1st would have gotten a base for going out of play with the ball.

That 1gb is pissing me right off now. I've been full for weeks and I have to choose what games I want to risk losing in the event of a ps4 failure. Disk space is cheap as shit now, it's absurd.

Announcer is wrong because we've seen plenty of guys catch the ball, go to take the ball out of the glove to throw it somewhere, and then drop it during the transition but still get credit for the out.

 
Looked like a catch to me. Was a dumb call. But whatever the Red Sox suck. And that guy definitely didn't have to go over the wall, he was showboating and deserved the call.

 
Apparently the head of IT here thinks it's 1999.  Customer sent a link to download a database that is 2.5 gbs.  He responded that it would take him 5 hours to do this and thinks the file would be corrupted.  Speedtest shows the work download speed is around 1mbps.  Explains why almost no webpages are loading right this week so either he cut back on the speed or is throttling it.  Hey guy, I could go home and download God of War Ascension in that time.

 
Sweet, I'm pumped about Limbo. Super easy 100%, right RPG? You just have to load up a video and watch it for 5 seconds, take 5 steps, watch 5 seconds. Repeat until 100%.

Saves from my PS4 have been broke for weeks. I don't have that much but I always have to delete something to get it to work. How much do they give for PS4 saves?
 
Something I recently learned about PS4 cloud saves:

If your cloud is full, you can't upload videos to YouTube. It must create some kind of temporary spot in your cloud save before sending it off to YouTube.

Is that right? I didn't add mine up but I've had the same problem. Are we sure it doesn't combine with vita or ps3 for a total of 1gb?
 
My Mighty No 9 best buy preorder just got changed to Dec 31 release date.

This bitch is about to get hit with the delay hammer, hard. at the very least the retail versio is going to.

Man, no way I'm even going to get $15 back for Legend of Kay. $9 TIV at BB and $8 at Gamestop. $13 at Amazon looks like by far my best bet unless I can find someone to actually buy it on Amazon.

 
Bionic Commando plat done. Commando difficulty wasnt too tough but there were a lot of really cheap bullshit deaths. Also it seemed like the health and armor upgrades didnt do shit. Died in the same amount of hits from everything. Final boss was a fucking joke. I am okay with QTEs for a badass foght sequence but at least have a portion of the boss fight use the same mechanics you fought everybody else in the game with.

Haven't played it yet, just looking at TIVs and they're garbage. $8 at gamestop is like 27% of MSRP. Imagine $60 new releases trading in for $16 one day after release.

Not overly surprising because nobody is interested in the game, but still very lame.

 
Damn. Everytime I clear a ps3 game from the backlog I get excited because I get to free up space on the hard drive. Turns out Bionic Commando wasnt a huge install, though. Finishing CoD/BF or other games with MP DLCs is like fuckin Christmas though. I need to finish RAGE. That install size is retarded.
 
Anyone here play Rocksmith in the past and have a real tone cable they are willing to sell (or give, yeah I said it)? These things seem as rare as those Gamecube HD cables, and people want way too much $$ for them. My only other option is to buy a new copy of Rocksmith that comes with the cable, but that isn't a very cheapassgamer thing to do.

 
Did you get the no cable version or something?  I hope you're playing 2014 and not the original - 2014 is way better.

Should have asked me a week ago - I had three of the things then, but I've sold my extra (still want two for co-op).

 
Also I wasn't that drunk when I had the Jai Alai the other day and I wasn't drunk at all when I had a Sierra Nevada pale ale in Bryant park after work Monday.

Actually I was never interested in it until now. I quit playing music about 5 years ago, but recently felt like maybe playing again and Rocksmith seems interesting. I haven't purchased any game yet but the cheapest I see it for is BestBuy $39.99 for 2014 version. Obviously disc only is much cheaper and I thought at first maybe I could use a cheap 1/4" jack to usb but nope.
