Machinarium

ps3 - June 11, 2013

vita - August 27, 2013
Hm. Yeah, I just saw Plants vs Zombies did the same. So did Jet Set Radio. Not seeing any others. I think Machinarium was the last one to do it.

You'd think with as many Vita games as we have now they could avoid pulling this crap. I'm sure the Limbo dev is happy, though.

Sonic never got the double-dip. Sonic 1 was 3/11, Sonic 2 was 4/11, and Sonic Racing Transformed was 12/13. That's it. I've looked over the PS+ wiki article and I can't find any repeats in there. Maybe I'm missing something since the platform lists are separate, but every repeat I've noticed has been cross-buy, even those games that aren't normally cross-buy like with Rainbow Moon where they went with the combo pack version being on PS+.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Instant_Game_Collection_games_(North_America)
Sonic 1 was 3/11 and 2/12...most those sega games got double dipped...check friskys op...he's got it all listed, even putting repeat in red lettering after the repeats...though it's probably copied and pasted from somewhere else.

I was wondering if one of those hybrid discs would provide any improved loading time performance on a PS4? I seem to recall reading that last gen consoles didn't get any improved performance from faster drives, but not sure about current gen.
You might see some slight improvement but the general consensus is that the PS4 uses SATA II and not SATA III which would give greater performance (read\write speeds). A SSD would speed things up even without SATA III but the prices are still too high for a substantial drive size that would make the swap worthwhile. I had one of those Hybrid Seagates once and it failed in a day or 2. Short answer if you are upgrading anyway might be worth it, but if you are upgrading just for speed...probably not worth it.

Edit: Worthwhile video....hybrid does pretty good compared to the SSD.

Interesting. Looks like the wiki list doesn't show repeats at all. Good to know, thanks.

I have an extra 500gb, 250gb, and 80gb...the 500 I remember was corrupted years ago, not sure if a reformat would fix it, the 250 just needs to be reformatted but it was recently in the new ps3 I bought a few months ago, so is legit...I'm sure you don't care about the 80....the 250 would be your safest bet, unless you know more about hard drives than I do...you could send me $5 for it to cover shipping, or pay for a tijuana prostitute.
Actually I think it's 250 GB already - it was the Infamous black friday bundle, which in a search I'm seeing as a 250 GB. But that offer is super appreciated!

Damn, was too late, but yeah both Machinarium and Jet Set Radio were repeated on Plus. It's rare but it does happen. Hasn't happened in a long time til this month.

Why would it be a sequel to Raccoon City? I don't know the series and the article doesn't specify anything about that, so I'm curious about you coming to that conclusion as opposed to being a followup to the Chronicles series or something.
In Operation Raccoon City, you played as an unnamed Umbrella Co. soldier in a SOCOM-esque multiplayer shooter. With a name like Umbrella Corps, it would be likelier that you're once again in their employ since Umbrella has typically been the evil corporation in standard REs.

I'm rocking a 120 GB superslim. I think that's the size of it anyway. Whatever it is it's not enough, but I don't play the PS3 enough now to justify upgrading. Unless Crazy is offering HDDs for FREE. FREE!
I put a 500 GB in my PS3 several years ago and that has been plenty. That's why I recommend to people to put their PS4 drive in their PS3 when they inevitably upgrade it to something 1TB+ if they don't want to spend any extra money on their PS3.

That guy is also a whiny bitch though. They probably just asked him to be on stage and show off the game and he doesn't want to or something.

I should probably play GOW: Ascension at some point since I've played all the others. I guess there will be a PS4 game at some point. I just hope they mix it up a bit, not that it's bad but it feels like it's time for them to try something new with the series. Not sure what that would be though exactly. Then again if it's gorgeous and over the top I'd probably be in anyway. Think this is what Santa Monica is working on?

EDIT: Didn't know a new GOW was confirmed:

Pretty sure wren was drunk and couldn't tell the difference.

As for breweries, rahr and sons, martin house, rabbit hole, Texas ale, grapevine, etc.

Looks like it is a six week course 30 hours a week. Also a limit of 25 students and already over a hundred applicants. Pretty sure if you wrote my application I would get in.

I don't think anybody knew. We all decided in that first shitty episode of this series that it wasn't worth watching the rest of them.

Rahr and Sons does mostly German style stuff which is not often hoppy. Martin House only has a few that would be hoppy (try the Gose, it would be salty believe it or not). Rabbit Hole is heavy on the pale ales but also has things like a Strawberry Weizen that would likely be in your wheelhouse. Texas Ale only makes a handful and only the IPA has even a moderate IBU level. Grapevine doesn't seem to have a lot of info out there.

I think you would like more than you would dislike from all those places.

There is also Lakewood and Shannon brewery, not sure if you are familiar with them. Also wrote an edit on the previous post. The course is geared towards people interested in the profession so thats really a no go for me since I just want to chill and just want to learn a but.

I was not familiar with any of them. I looked them all up and wrote what I did.

Makes sense that there is that many applicants. They all think they are going to get a job from one of the breweries after the course. Some of them might. Their job would likely be keg cleaner or shoveling out the mash tun though.

Is mash tun considered beer poop?

Speaking of good beer, Bell's Two Hearted Ale is finally available in my area (along with other beers of theirs). I like Two Hearted Ale quite a bit. Any other good ones I should try from Bell's?

Two hearted is good...you could look out for any of those planet beers that I got...Neptune may be the only one left in stores though.

LOL. The mash tun is where the grains are turned to wort (unfermented sugar water) by sparging. The solid part of the grain is left behind afterwards. It is about as close as you would get to shoveling shit in the brewing process.

Too many to list. Damn near everything they make.

Saw some of them on the local (NY) Fios news this morning carrying free Brady posters. Uhm he isn't in jail. He is suspended from work for a month and his employer still loves him.
I think that's right up there with Free Karl.

Lost Dimension sounds really interesting (the traitor(s) among them mechanic of the Zero Escape series with tactical RPG gameplay), I'll have to pick that up when it is on sale.

Does anyone know if the Ultimate Sith Edition for SW: Force Unleashed has the added-stage DLC on-disc and whether it's installable or if you have to play that disc to access it?

So far its even better than I expected. The story and dialog for the max affection is really cliched but after every battle they have the scene where all this dialog appear. Has that cool zero escape feel which makes you really question who could be the traitor.

The battles so far are fun, closest explanation would be a dumbed down valkarie chronicles with blander environments.

I'm enjoying the skill trees too. I like how you can decide whether one player can be either a healer or a status changer. My favorite character so far is the one that can teleport. He has a unique animation in battle that os reminiscent of the dash animation for Alice character in the ps3 game. Each character feels unique enough but I pretty much settled on my party when I found out who the most op characters are.

All I know is that the save games from vanilla SW: FU are not compatible with the Sith edition and they share the same trophy list. I'm seeing what else I can find out about it now.

It's on disc, then you download it to the system, but you need the sith disc to access it. They are not integrated into the main game, you access them from the main menu. Powers progress does not carryover from the main game, they are standalone, so you can play them immediately. You start out with a set amount of powers for the Jedi Temple level (since it is like a lost tale from the main game story) and all powers for the 2 DLC levels set after the main game.

So it sounds like you would be ahead to play the main game in vanilla form then "rent" the Sith edition since it's so fuck ing expensive, play all the DLC levels and get all their trophies, then turn it back in.

It's also my understand that the traitor(s) are randomized each playthrough so you don't have to worry about spoilers and it is more replayable.
