I need to think of a couple more trophies, and set the draft order and that league is pretty much set. Then I can start working on fff ii. I have myself as a placeholder for the 1 open spot. So If anyone else decides they want to join, or else me, pitfall or anyone will just double up.

Wonder if we'll be getting those amiibo restocks pretty soon. My Canadian buddy got a Villager and Lucario from EBgames today. Said they also had a bunch of Cpt Falcon and Marth, too.

EDIT: Guess they had Ike, too.

So never coming out, got it. Thanks T-Bone!
Actually I bet it will. I thought the Vita version of Munch's Oddyssee was completely dead and then out of the blue it released, two years after the PS3 version came out.

Oddworld Inhabitants and Just Add Water seem to be true to their word, even when I'm sure they shouldn't be from a financial standpoint.

We do have that other oddworld for vita, though I don't think I'll be playing any oddworld games for a long time
There's both Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath. Which were you referring to? Not sure about Munch's, but I played a couple hours SW and plan to get back to it. It's actually pretty decent and works well on the Vita.

Presidential candidate Deez Nuts polling well in North Carolina

http://www.fox9.com/news/politics/9977203-story

"Most North Carolina voters don’t know how they would respond to a Deez Nuts candidacy – 81 percent say they aren’t sure how they feel about Deez Nutz. 13 percent of voters have an unfavorable opinion and just six percent have a favorable opinion of Deez Nutz."

fucking. Gold.
Finally, a candidate I can support.

I am glad they came back years later and patched their glitched trophies on MO

I really didn't mind MO for one playthrough, minus the shitty controls, camera, and the few very dull parts like herding sheep....now it should take only 2 playthroughs to plat it, and each one is only like 5-6 hours

I want to propose the draft taking place during work hours for League 2. I got games to play at night :)
You can play games between picks!, but I'll throw a couple different time suggestions for you guys to hash out...well see how it works out though because we've got people like you and Stotch on the east coast, and believe simmias is over on the west coast..

Had to quit reading our boy Raigan after that last quote I posted but I just read some more, this is another gem right below that quote from earlier:

"It's a fact that big companies compete on marketing spends because that is an easier, more efficient, way to generate profits than competing on quality. That makes sense for corporations, which are inhuman and don't have any human value -- they exist solely to generate profit. Those entities don't care at all about game design, games as a medium, or anything else that we, as humans, value."

Wow. They most certainly do care about game design etc. A shitty game will not make a company nearly as much money as a good game will. Corporations are inhuman? So corporations only employ robots then? What THE fuck. A corporation is made up of humans you idiot. He is partially right about existing for profit, they exist to make a profit to generate ROI (return on investment) for shareholders etc. and to generate that profit, a company such as EA or Ubisoft use resources (ie capital, either money or human capital) to create a product (video games) to make money. They use capital to also market those games to help make more of the monies. If they dont allocate their resources correctly they produce a bad product then they dont make the monies. His view that the only reason games make any money is marketing is complete bullshit. Marketing plays a role, but he is delusional to think that is the reason why games are successful. Sure good marketing alone can get you people to buy your game at launch, but sales will nosedive if its a shitty game.

This guy obviously didnt allocate his resources correctly, they obviously spent too much capital on the game and not enough capital on marketing, creating a demo, or actually figuring out the correct price of the game to launch at.

I never thought I'd hear questioning trophy hunting in this thread. I've sort of always been torn though because I like trophies but I just don't have the time to go apeshit with them. I know some of these games would take 2x or more than a 1 time normal playthrough to 100%. I've already owned up to the fact that I just don't have the time. The thing is though I legitimately like trophies and love when they pop up on screen.

Recently I starting looking at trophy lists a bit more, and I think from this point out I'll go for the attainable ones at least. I do like the challenge of some of them. I just can't get behind playing a game 4 or more times because not only do I not have the time but I think I'd legitimately get bored. I don't normally replay a lot of games. Of course there are exceptions but it's rare for me.

I think with a limited amount of time I'd rather play more games than spend that time going after digital trophies. The truth of it is though I don't want to play on XBOX or Nintendo platforms anymore, or even STEAM for that matter because it's not the same. I'm just entrenched in the PS ecosystem at this point. I recently started playing Luigi's Mansion 2 and put it down to go back to Spelunky. Not that Luigi's Mansion 2 isn't a great game but it just feels like something is missing (the magic). Maybe it's reserved for my Vita now.

Simmias is in Charlotte and Sage is in Indianapolis. That makes at least 4 of us in the only timezone that matters.

Indianapolis is on eastern time? Or is it that due to some fucky no DST thing?
Yes. No.

and i just can't compete on things that test my patience so much now on. I platted Eat Lead also, but payday 2 I was going to plat it, I felt it but i just couldn't do it when I was reloading the level over and over to find the ingredients or stealthing the level only to have one mess up. I know when it is ps+ or cheap like the first 2 were on ps3 then I will play it more, but its like I have limited time and with the blops 3 beta etc. but im down for binary domain mp whenever we do that. my son is already leveling up on the mp and playing easy story mode ;)

My understanding was that some parts of Indiana changed from Central to Eastern depending on Daylight Savings. At least thats what my brother told me when he lived in Indy like 10-15 years ago.
That was changed in 2006. Before that, we never had to mess with clocks.

I'm generally the same. The only way I'd do a replay is if the additional playthroughs added some content or if they're short. I also have to like the gameplay well enough because if the driving force to play is the story and narrative then running through it multiple times just feels like a waste. Like right now I'm on (and almost done with) my 2nd playthrough of Lords of the Fallen. There's three classes and I'm on rogue now, which plays completely different from the warrior I used previously. There's additional items and such scattered around and it's fairly easy to do a boss rush and run through the game in ~5 hours if you're good enough. So I don't mind going through it.

I couldn't force myself to do the same with other short games that were completely the same though, like Under Defeat and Scott Pilgrim. I can't imagine the many playthroughs required for MGS2's plat or for some of the Tales games that require a ton of playthroughs for different titles and the like. I couldn't see myself spending ~30 additional hours on Ys: Memories of Celceta where the entire point of the 2nd run is for 3 unique items; I could play 2-3 games to completion in that same time. For most games you can get the majority of trophies in a single run anyway.

Trophies are fun, but I just can't push myself past the tedium required for 100% on a lot of games.
