Pizza HUT? I love Pizza HUT!

Pharm do you like Michael Huber over at GT?

He's ok, but he does this annoying epic voice way too often, like what he's about to say next is super interesting or funny or important. It's fine to do once in a while but he does it way too much.

I watched parts of two of his episodes and thats it. He is annoying.

So no.

There has got to be tons of people not like us that called in sick but no one seems to be streaming anything, needs something else to do to run out the last 15 minutes. He never did show up so I might as well have taken the day off.

Dominos is $5.99 for each medium. And its better. Despite what Jimbo says.
I have no problem with either dominos or jimbo and I don't want to get into the middle of that feud, but the closest dominos is not close at all. Pizza Hut is basically across the street from my apartment and it'll be almost a short cut to pull into the parking lot to pick it up.

Still a chance they marked it as delivered near the beginning of the day and it will arrive later today or tomorrow because some delivery men are jackasses like that.

Just this week a package arrived 3 days later than when they said it was delivered.
Hopefully that's the case this time. I tried calling UPS but it's automated and I couldn't find an option to talk to someone about it.

So since I'm finally calling it quits on Metal Gear, I'm reading the story on Wikipedia.

Metal Gear Solid 1 Spoilers:

Snake locates Otacon in his lab. The ninja reappears, and Snake realizes that it is actually his formerly deceased ally Gray Fox. Otacon agrees to aid Snake remotely, using special camouflage to procure information and supplies while he remains invisible.

Formerly deceased huh? Not going to tell me anything more about that? Just that he's not deceased anymore I guess. Not sure if the blame lies on Metal Gear or the wiki writer, but it's a perfect example of what drives me nuts about Metal Gear's pretty nonsensical story.

Yo anyone watch the simpsons?
I do, and I still enjoy it past season 10.

#suckithaters

I actually read quite a bit of Detective Conan as English translations came out, but eventually had to give up. A few hundred chapters without the slightest bit of plot development was too much for me. Same problem with Ah! My Goddess. I liked both, but a story has to progress to stay interesting to me.
I think of the series overall as self contained stories with the main plot mentioned and progressed every now and then. Sort of like The X-Files. Detective Conan/Case Closed is probably my third favorite anime following Dragonball Z and The Big O.

And you'll be happy to know I've started opening my PS3 to clean the fan and attempt to clean/repair the lens. So far I found one finger print sized dust bunny by the fan.

We have a couple of these that we put around the house during the colder months. Like Gator said, a gas heat system puts out really dry air.

My wife researched the crap out of humidifiers before we bought these, so they have the Mrs. Madchemist seal of approval (for what that's worth).

The only thing "nonsensical" about the MGS storyline is how farfetched it is. Everything lines up pretty well and the part you're referring is a result of what happened in the NES Metal Gears. Surely there's a wiki link on the same page to
Gray Fox
that goes into more detail... if every wiki page tried to explain everything referenced on the page then it would be a mess.

This is what I game on now in the study/game room.

I am eye balling this one for the living room once things are settled. Cnet rated it best value 4KTV for 2015 a few months ago. And I like Vizio.

Right now I have a 37" Vizio but its a E series. I was actually looking at that exact Vizio M series 4K set but the 43" model. I'm giving my nephew my old TV and going to upgrade.

43" model is only $549.99

As Topside said, it's a reference from the previous games. IIRC, they are included as a bonus game in Snake Eater.

The Target where I live/work at now has a Pizza Hut inside so I can have the single serve pizzas and pasta whenever I want.  The chicken alfredo is the best.

The small pizzas could be better.

I like to go to the Target a block from my office to get the pasta and pizza about once a week. Except one pizza never fills me up so I usually get two and look like a gluttonous weirdo. But Cartwheel helps ease the financial burden.

I'd avoid wikis, as they are surely being updated with the retcons MGS V is introducing. And if gameplay is such a concern, why not just play MGS V instead of playing the older ones, Tyler? I can assure you, despite my best efforts, it has a good mix of action and stealth.

Not sure if this was ever mentioned, but MGS V has a dopey chicken hat that you can wear for people who suck at stealth like pharm. Once you wear the hat you're basically undetectable so its straight easy mode. Though while wearing it you can't get above an A rank in missions so no perfecting the levels by cheating.

You can eat a whole pizza by yourself?!?!?!?
Yeah easily. I've always been a crazy eater, my metabolism was nuts all through my childhood and 20's. I've only recently started to slow down and become full faster and stay full for longer periods of time in the past year or two. I still eat more than the average person though.

Called the UPS Center from a town next to ours and the guy told eventually told me that they delivered it to another place. Found my package at an empty trailer 2 blocks away. I was expecting the neighbor to come up to me and ask why I just went up to the porch and took the package but she didn't do anything.

K, finished reading most the rest. I didn't realize so many core characters and storylines were started in the NES games.

Spoilers for everything besides Phantom Pain and Revengeance cuz I didn't read them

MGS2's story is still hot garbage. Just an absolute mess. I don't know what I just read. No wonder I had no fucking clue what was going on in it.

MGS3's seems like the best story of all. The Boss twist at the end seems really cool, that she wasn't really a traitor but had to appear to be one and to be killed by Naked Snake for political reasons and stuff. That's pretty cool.

MGS4 seems kind of messy to me, but not nearly as bad as two. Seems more straightforward at least. I guess a lot of it was to tie up all the different characters from the other games.

Peace Walker and some of the other offshoots I kinda lost interest in. I'm guessing Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain will actually involve some of these characters and factions more?

Because I never played the NES games and thought they were offshoots, I never knew who Big Boss was. I always thought it was one hero throughout the story. I didn't realize I wasn't playing as a really young Solid Snake when I started up MGS3.

I'm not sure 4k matters at that size and for the extra money. But it is a damn good tv
Yeah I'm sure the 4K isn't that big of a deal for that size but I don't want a 60HZ refresh on my tv. That tv looks pretty sweet for the price as its around the same price I paid for my 37" tv 5 years ago.

I also hate the wording now like Clear Motion 120 on the box which is actually 60hz, then you have Tru Motion 240 which is 120hz. All these companies with their numbers on the box trying to fool customers on what they're actually getting.

Therm, how the hell did you remove the screws that cover the power supply?   I'm turning and turning and it looks like the screws are stripped now.

Ironically, this is exactly what happened when I changed out my SATA. With that, I used a needle nose to put pressure on the screw. Here, I can't seem to grab it with the limited room I have.

Some of them were sealed kind of tight, and yeah the screws are a bit soft. I just carefully applied as much pressure as I could while turning in order to break the hold. If you stripped the screws that will be harder, but you could try switching to a different screwdriver. Sometimes if a small Philips head gets messed up a flathead around the same size will do the trick. Again, though--make sure to apply lots of pressure.

You're playing as Big Boss in MGS3, Solid Snake came into being about a decade after the events of MGS3.

late edit: Also, I'm apparently on drugs, because that's exactly what you said.

What am I supposed to spend my money on now, pizza?

I make little tortilla pizzas. A tortilla, a couple spoonfuls of sauce, a dash of oregano, a bit of hot sauce, then shredded bag cheese and pepperoni. Toss it in the oven for 10 minutes to get nice and crispy. Quick and easy and cheap as fuck .
Oven temp please.

You guys realize there is a glitch that allows grounded to be much easier... but it's still a grind. What you end up doing is 2 easy play throughs to load up on gear and get new game plus trophy. Then for some odd reason it allows you to play backwards through the game chapter by chapter and it counts. So you play through it backwards and after each chapter you revert back to your starting amount of gear because the game only makes you lose the gear you used if you go forward. Kinda weird and still a grind, but Grounded isn't the end all be all using this method.

Also I got past the part everyone was saying glitched on them in Mad max? I built my first full Archangel load out for my car and the Bars went on fine. Car is much better and I have yet to die once! =P~
You seem to be the man to come to for all things TLOU.

Did they ever come up with an MP glitch to where I can, like, not play it and still get the trophies? Specifically the PS3 version.

Thank you in advance.

Sweet! As of today, 18 months after my initial Roth IRA investment, I've made a 0.65% return on investment! I'm gonna buy myself TWO pizzas tonight!

Oven temp please.
I just throw it in at 450. Just keep an eye on it until you figure out the timing you like-once the cheese bubbles up and kind of inflates all the way across you're good to go. The 10 minutes is more because I like the tortilla to get nice and crispy, if you like it a bit soft you'll want to take it out earlier.

I'm not calling you stupid or anything, but I didn't have any trouble understanding MGS2. You didn't really get into specifics so if there's something that was particularly confusing then I can try to make the connections for you, but it sounds like you just weren't that invested into it.

I'm assuming that you didn't play the first MGS since you were reading it's synopsis? That might be half the problem right there; this is one series that really requires you to play them in order. Each entry requires the previous one as a foundation. It limits accessibility for new players but it's also one of the things I like about the series; each entry is like one chapter in one huge game. They're much better when viewed as a whole. And as crazy and ridiculous as the story is, it's done really well.

So I didn't get off early

I'm going to go buy beer

I think Dark :0

Am also charging up the vita as we speak

Also

Free Pizza Hut pizza tomorrow at 9 est

Only part of MGS2 that really confused me was the ending. You know what I'm talking about.

Meanwhile, these screws. These fuck ing screws. I've resulted to a power drill and it's causing the PS3 to spin.  Tried again and removed one stripped screw. On to the second one.

I played MGS1, but it was so long ago I still reread they synopsis. I really liked pretty much everything about that game too, including the story (though it was really bizarre). But I liked the style they used naming the enemies and stuff, plus the gameplay clicked for me.

I played MGS2 a couple years after MGS 1, and I couldn't believe how much I hated MGS2. The story was completely nonsensical to me and I was completely removed from enjoying the gameplay by constant interjections of dialogue and exposition. Then there was twist after twist after twist that was just stupid to me. You're right I wasn't invested at the end and probably didn't pay attention, but I wasn't invested because I was just too confused by what was going on anyway.

What actually turned me off of my recent playthrough of MGS3 (besides not really enjoying stealth in the first place and the game not really teaching me any of the unusual control scheme) was the save lady droning on and on about the movie Godzilla. I DON'T fuckING CARE I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME! I understand it's skippable, but it just instantly reminded me how much of the story stuff in the game was gonna be loaded with that sort of exposition.

And I understand that that wacky kind of exposition is exactly why some people revere these games. But it just drives me up the walls.

Alright butt buddies. I am not drunk nor at a bar so I can play Viking quest when you all are ready.
Message me on Hangouts. I couldn't find you on there. N/m I found you just accept the invite to chat.

Munky and me are ready, haven't heard from Gator in like an hour.
