Sylvester Stallone just plain sucks... Rocky and Rambo are way overrated.

Only movie he's in I can think of off the top of my head that I like is Demolition Man.

Rocky 1 and 2 aren't too bad. 3 on are kinda just goof movies. I haven't seen Balboa.

Stallone I don't care for at all. Always seen him as pretty much a goof as well.

There wasn't anything "officially" announced about it, but I noticed the same thing this morning when last week's ad threads were removed. It seems like the mods are doing even less work now.

Sly was fantastic in UHF. That was comedy gold right there and awesome of him to do Wierd Al that cameo.

BTW I just got back from Hitman: Agent 47. Thanks again for the free ticket, TheCro. It was kinda weird; the ticket said good for a value up to $8.00, but the redemption site specifically listed the theater I went to and they're $9.50 after tax for matinee. I figured I'd have to pay the difference or something, but the ticket wouldn't even scan. The woman at customer service had to manually override it to get me in, but it was free.

The movie itself was fine. The 7% on RT is just ridiculous. Granted I've never played Hitman so I don't know the lore, but the movie stood fine on its own and had the flashy, styling action sequences I was expecting. I watched the 2nd trailer a couple days ago, so that spoiled the story a bit--wishing I hadn't seen that one, so that where it went would have been completely unexpected. It's a game movie. Certainly better than SMB or the Street Fighters. Probably better than MK, though it's been so long that I'm not sure on that one. I'd put it under Doom and Prince of Persia and Silent Hill, but above Alone in the Dark and DOA and all the RE movies after the first one. The first RE movie was probably one of the best game-to-movie transitions, IMO.

I think if it were Bioshock or Mass Effect then the 7% would make sense. But for Hitman it's just a bunch of people being assholes.

Anybody else see it?

Over the Top is only enjoyable because it's so bad. Love that quote about him turning his hat backwards every time before he arm wrestles... "It's like a switch... it turns me on."

Look we all knew mariota wasn't as good as the bucs made him. But this is why the nfl and football in general is soo good. Never know what's going to happen.

BTW the bucs still won't be very good but at least they made a lot of you lose in our pool!
 
I don't think that ESPN thing is a true survivor pool. Apparently, you're allowed to make 1 pick per week and only get points if that team wins. madchemist lost last week, and was able to make a Week 2 pick.

 
Man, Until Dawn was really good.  I went into it not expecting much since my buddy said it was horrible, but now I see that he probably has the same shitty Rocky-hating taste as most of you heathens.

 
Death Race 2000 (though that was more of an ensemble) and Cliffhanger are another couple of Stallone movies that haven't been mentioned that I enjoyed. John Lithgow as your villain = gold.

Death race 2000 is a classic. I finally saw the non-TV version a while back which has some nice gratuitous nudity. Ha ha. But I mostly saw it on TV. It's euthanasia day in the geriatric ward!

I love it when I snatch things away from my kids that they shouldn't have and then I can't find where I had them later.

(Like the two vita clearance games I got from target. Love it.)

 
Soooooo, if Tony Romo is in fact done for the season, that really hoses me on Dez Bryant when he returns in my other league. For years I thought one of these seasons I'll get Dez on my team!

Will be a good "be careful what you wish for" lesson for my kids for years to come.

Pretty shitty performance by Miami. 13 penalties for over 100 yards, bad clock management in the first half (and a missed field goal that resulted in a 6-point swing on a JAX FG), non-existent running game, and an offensive line that slowly melted into a thin paste by the 4th quarter. Tannehill is great, but his receiver core is super spotty. And where the fuck is the defense? The $114 million dollar man had one tackle.

Definitely don't need to go out of my way to catch another one of their games any time soon.

According to the official rules, if your pick loses any week you are automatically elimnated from any prizes.

Pretty impressive for a show that's been on for three seasons.
