VITA FOR LIFE!

Uncharted Golden Abyss is not a shoddy spinoff and the 3DS sucks. WHERE IS THIS fuck ING KILLER LIBRARY OF 3DS TITLES? IT DOESN'T EXIST! Other than that the article is ok.
I bought my 3DS for animal crossing, fire emblem, and pokemon. Currently playing the new animal crossing game where you just decorate houses and stuff. Vaguely fun, but I'll be sending it to GS before the weeks done. Using that money for my new vita lol. TBH, it feels more like they should have just added it to the main series as a job system or something. I doubt nintendo would actually do that though, unless they have huge plans for the WiiU version of AC.

For me, mobile gaming and portable gaming are two separate and enjoyable categories. The prevalence of one doesn't have to mean the doom of the other. Mobile gaming is fun for quick 2-5 minute bursts. Portable gaming is nice when the TV is occupied. I think Vita's portability is perfect for all these 8-bit retro indie style games that seem to be coming back now. I couldn't stand seeing those on the big screen.

I've always preferred my JRPGs in a portable way as well.

Now if only someone could combine the two....

I guess all I can hope for is that the Vita keeps chugging along and becomes the Dreamcast (where as people still release games for it) well after it's intended lifecycle.

Finally beat Scott Pilgrim, but only because I used the money cheat. What a grind that would have been to level up otherwise. The hit detection on this game is pretty bad since you always seem to be slightly off to the side.

Anyway I beat the game over 5 minutes ago and I am still waiting for the credits to finish because of course I want to sit here and read all the names of the people who made this shitty game. Thanks!

EDIT: STILL GOING! IT must be near 10 minute now...or more.

EDIT 2: Quit from XMB because fuck that shit.
I don't recall the money cheat. What difficulty were you playing it on? I started on Hard and it was too rough, but Normal was fine and then I played the same character on Hard with no issues, IIRC. I couldn't go for the plat, though--it's just playing through the game with every character or something stupid like that. It wasn't that fun.

Also: Junji Ito was working on the new Silent Hills game before it got cancelled. He's the guy that did the creepy as fuck Uzumaki manga. By creepy as fuck I mean with stuff like weird babies crawling back into their mothers wombs and forcing them to act as drugged-up, comfortable homes because the world isn't as pleasant. Really weird, crazy stuff. 3 volumes long. If you're into creepy horror you should read it.

Taco Bell contests suck so bad. Last week they had the contest boxes. This week they don't. At least the volcano queserito is pretty good. Guess I'll just wait for the free online entry period.

Apparently cold cereal is on the outs. Not too surprising now that I think about it, but still. I pretty much fall in line with this paragraph

According to outside experts, there are a few culprits for the declining demand for cereal: People are consuming less milk, eating fewer carbs and looking for lower-sugar foods to feed their kids, while favoring higher-protein alternatives like Greek yogurt or protein shakes for breakfast.

I tend to avoid milk, and the extra sugar/calories in the morning. I've got a box of french toast crunch (because best 90s breakfast cereal ever) at home, but weekdays I don't really have the time for it, and most weekends I'd rather just have some oatmeal or something.

I guess I don't get why you can't like both the Vita and the 3DS It seems. They both give me a good experience for portable gaming.
I don't mind my 3DS, I just vastly prefer my Vita. To the point where I neglect my 3DS 90% of the time. Whenever the new fire emblem comes out I'll like it again, but in the meantime its largely ignored. I liked my PSP much more than my DS too, Overall, I just like the games they release on the PSP/Vita more than I like what the DS/3DS have had to offer. Personally liked the DS much better than the 3DS as well.

To echo others, 3DS wasn't bad.  There's not this killer library, but I really enjoyed my time with the Mario and Zelda games on there, as well as a handful of indies.

Yeah 3D was a gimmick, but was kinda fun once in a while.  And the portable VC was a sweet thing too.  I made the switch when I looked at the release calendar and the only game I was interested in was Smash, and even that was mostly a meh.  Plus they're sales suck all the ass compared to PSN sales.

I have no ragrets switching over to Vita.

If I had known that shooting with a button in Heroes of Loot auto-tracks enemies, I never would have used the right analog stick. This almost seems unfairly easy.

I believe it was Tyler and Sage talking about that and I tried the right analog 2 times and it was horrible. Face buttons > shitty right analog.

The idea of a breakfast cereal cafe is hipster as fuck. Holy shit. I'm vaguely offended to know at least 3 dudes who look just like the owners lol.

French Toast Crunch so good tho. 10/10 vigs would pick 100x over cinnamon toast crunch.

The 3DS didn't do much of anything to improve on the DS Lite. The original hardware didn't even have the proper clamshell design...it was akward like the original DS. The DSi had a slow little menu which was ok because it wasn't loading up a lot of games. You can have a large library on the 3DS but it's slow to read from the micro SD. The "New" 3DS is quicker but it's still not as fluid as the Vita. The original 3DS hardware was garbage, the XL a little better, and the New 3DS is the best of the worst.

The 3D is largely a gimmick and it's field of view was super shitty. The New 3DS fixed it by tracking your eyes but it should have been that way in the first place. I would have rather seen a DS Lite with more power and a streamlined interface or maybe even a trophy\achivement system built in instead of getting the kiddy streetpass. I have no idea how anyone with a 3DS and a Vita say the Vita's menu sucks. Browsing through on the 3DS is painful.

The screens and resolution on the 3DS are a fuck ing joke in this day and age of Vita's and smartphones for that matter. It's 2015, give me a fuck ing nice screen Nintendo!

Most of the best games are Nintendo's but just like the Vita include a good amount of ports and remakes. It's not always bad but new games like Paper Mario were largely a disappointment. Two early standouts for me were Super Mario 3D Land as well as Resident Evil Revelations but I feel none have lived up to those since they came out. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a great game but gets kind of boring after awhile reading the text and going through the same jargon after every level. It was smart of Nintendo to buy Next Level Games though since they have made some gems for Nintendo.

I don't give a shit about Fire Emblem, Pokemon Pickachu Baby, Animal Baby Crossing, and stuff like it...so that part is shame on me but it just aint speaking to me. The 3DS is missing the games that made the DS so great. The Castlevanias, The Spider-Mans that were actually good, and the unique one off games like Lunar Knights.

The "NEW" 3DS feels better but the hardware still leaves something to be desired. Xenoblade which is a "NEW" only game looks like a turd, it's so janky it's unplayable.

The list goes on. I'm probably at the point where I should just call it a day with the 3DS and move on.

Yeah it is, reminds me of those Waffle-O's from the 80s. Blueberry Muffin Tops by Malt-O-Meal is like if Cinnamon Toast Crunch and BlueBerry Waffle-O's mated. So damn good. Now I'll sit back and wait for the "What the fuck is a Waffle-O?" comments.

I typically buy whatever's cheapest/on sale and don't care if it's generic or not.

I think we need a cereal poll.  Because you guys haven't mentioned the GOAT of breakfast cereals, Fruity Pebbles.

Or it's runner up Crunch Berries.

Or that Nintendo one that had two flavors in a box and gaming tips.

Or Nerds cereal.

It's ironic. I had French Toast Crunch for breakfast. Was disappointed in how small the pieces were.

One the back of the box is a "Do you remember the 90s?" quiz.

Remember the 90s? WTF? I was a goddamn teenager during the nineties, of course I remember it. What are you fucking implying, box? That I'm senile and can't remember something from 20 years ago?

I used to love me some Fruit Loops, Corn Pops, Alpha Bits, and Lucky Charms.  Then I started just going with Strawberry Pop-Tarts instead.

Now all of those would damn near kill me if I tried to eat them.  Fresh strawberries with plain non-fat Greek yogurt everyday now.

Other than just not liking most super sweet stuff anymore it is mainly so I can save all the empty calories for the important food group: Beer

Plain yogurt is the worst. And plain greek yogurt is even more worst!
That is why I eat it with strawberries. I would not want to just shove a tablespoon of that stuff into my face. The Greek yogurt they sell with "fruit" in it tastes just about as sweet as the breakfast cereals do.

Cookie Crisp was my "I can't believe it's cereal" choice growing up.  Or Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Now I eat Total Raisin Bran with some fruit and a protein shake because I'm old.

I used to eat cereal (Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, and Cookie Crisp), but now I'm lazy and just drink a tall cup of Carnation Instant Breakfast every morning.

I remember the time when I was a kid and the only cereal my babysitter had was Grape Nuts. Never again.
When I had to go visit the grandparents during the summer, the only breakfast cereal they had was 100% All Bran (aka twigs).

It does sort of have an odd sweetness to it.

Warm Grape Nuts aren't actually that bad.....

I usually have a mix of cereal. Raisin Bran, granola and honey nut cheerios, because we have those and they seem to go well together. The latter two improving the former.
