It's alive!

Just woke up from a nap. Haven't been feeling good since yesterday. My stomach is super upset. Now that I'm awake it's time to finish SITTM and get to work on more Resistance.
 
Can anyone sell me or dissuade me from buying bf4 premium on ps4. $18 gets me the 5 dlc packs, 4 maps each, so barely $1 for huge maps, which sounds great and trophies, but if the dlc is barren there is no point. Should I even get the $12 base game? I traded in bf4 ps3 I got for $9 through gamefly to bestbuy for $8, so no loss, and I was just gonna upgrade, but premium is trying to catch my eye.

Any lovers or haters of this game? I pretty much platted the ps3 version (all but an mp trophy or two)

yeah, that was like the last trophy a few people I know had to get. You have to throw the rock, they have to go check it out, and then get back to their original patrol. I think most people, even if stealthy or sniping, are too impatient to be tossing rocks and then just chilln for the guard to check it out and then return to their patrol. The mortar/elephant kills were actually easy, and the co op passenger takedown and buzzard takedown were quite easy, comparatively.

i did that on the tea house outpost flag(where you can redo the outpost for a score) they spawn you back a little ways. distract the first guard, then go to the edge of the hill, distract the guard by the truck, throw a rock across the street to the building, and then go around the right side of the building in front of you. i think i did the outpost 4 times before i got the trophy. plus i got some decent exp towards my level since i always finished the outpost, and was never seen.

I also on the edge too. I'm really thinking about buying it since it comes with premium.

I just get really impatient so it just took a lot longer than it should. Game is definitely one of my favorite games of the year.

 
weekend event in dragon age mp(finally!) 100 great axe kills, and 100 bow kills, each get you a special chest. 

edit: plus a free midwinter cheer chest

So in case people didn't know, there's a workaround that might work for getting you online on PS4.

Go into your network setup under settings, and choose to do a manual setup. Pick your network and all that, and leave all the settings at the default until you get to MTU. Change that from 1500 to 1473. I just told Tyler about this and he said it worked for him after not being able to get on all day. 

 
I don't know why, but any time I'm flipping channels and come across a bad movie I have to stop and watch. And I'm not talking just bad... I'm talking low-budget with a name you've never heard of and with actors who look like they don't want to be there. The kind of movie where all the people involved are related to each other in some way or another.

Today's winner is "The Controller", a movie about an old billionaire whose wife is kidnapped and the only way to get get her back is to win at playing video games. The twist? He's never played one in his life! Time to crack open a few beers and let the good times roll!

Watched The Interview last night. It was actually much funnier than I thought it would be. Francos character was kind of annoying, but I'm definitely glad I watched it.

I actually hope it made a ton of money digitally. It would be nice if they started more movies directly this way. I'm rarely able to make it to the movies and am pretty choosy about what I go see since it is close to $30 for two people. For a $6 rental, though, I'd check out a lot more stuff.

First part was quite funny, but like a lot of those comedies they start taking their story way too seriously and forget about the jokes for large stretches of the 2nd half of the movie.

This isn't wrong. It's frustrating to see my team be mediocre or bad for so many years, especially when friend's teams have success. Miami hasn't even been to a Super Bowl in my lifetime. Lots of huge disappointments. Like last year only needing to beat the Bills or Jets in the last 2 games of the years for a playoff spot, and scoring a combined 3 points in those 2 games.

Beat Escape Goat 2.  Did use a guide to see how to beat the last 3 levels because I was just stumped.  Got all the trophies except the speed-run one.  I don't have the patience for that right now.  Great game, loved it.

 
Got a black DS4 pricematched at BB for $25 today.  Was going to wait for a cool custom one for my 2nd controller, but that may be ages and $25 is just too good to pass up.  Should have tried for Blue, the BB cashier was super non-chalant about it and I probably could have got that one if I wanted.

K I'm done posting now.

Finally got the Firehouse brisket sub.  Gotta say, it was all you guys hyped it up to be.  Also, The Wire marathon is on, great way to round out the weekend, before having to drive 7 hours in the AM.

Also bought Peggle 2, Race The Sun and Escape Goat 2.

 
HAHAHA.... this movie was made in 2008 and they're using the original Xbox as props! Oh God... they're inside the game with some horrible 80s computer graphics. I think it's officially crossed the line where I can no longer laugh at how awful it is.

Must have been made by some Duke students; there's Duke shit plastered everywhere. That definitely didn't help any.

ooh I never tried the brisket one. I think I might have to pick one up on the way to Target tomorrow.

Also playing level 29 on Geometry Wars and I see what you guys mean. Only at 122 stars so I got a lot of catching up to do.

I'm almost positive they don't put mayo on it by default.  I think Gator was just making a callback to all those old mayo conversations.

And I just broke top 3,000 in the US.  Woohoo!

Except that it's not because I remember when you were a couple trophy levels below me. Shit! Don't you have a new girlfriend or kid on the way or something to distract you from gaming?

EDIT: Based on the games we play, I'm really surprised my Trophy Ratio on TT is higher than yours. I would think you'd have the generally rarer trophies.

Welp, I think I'm done with Geometry Wars. I spent another 3 hours on that one level tonight, and didn't come fucking close to the required score, despite having damn near perfect runs. At one point, I had probably 100 things trailing behind me, and did three to four rotations around the entire map without seeing a gate. Other times, when I didn't need them, there were 5 gates on the screen at once. For me, it's at the point where this one level has ruined the entire game for me and I no longer have any desire to play it. And it really sucks too, because the rest of the game is so well done and awesome.

Just finish adventure mode man. You're missing out on some really cool levels later on.

I probably spent maybe an 30 minutes on that one and then moved on. I did spend quite a bit of time on level 26 but ended up tripling the max score so that felt really good.
