The soonest I can expect any of my Thanksgiving Best Buy orders is tomorrow. The others on Friday and Monday(!). My one Amazon order arrived on Saturday. If it wasn't for GCU this wouldn't even be a competition.

Worst part is, the two slower packages are from in the state while the fastest one is coming from across the country.
I guess I could have pushed for expedited shipping but they didn't give me any crap about waiting another day or two for it to maybe show up. From the email they sent it looks like it might be coming from a semi local BB store. Depending on how soon they ship it out I might get it sooner anyway.

Alright I quit streaming and will be getting dinner here soon but will play some more tonight.

Cro if you and anyone else want to play Guantlet too I am down.

If you could do multiple accounts (at least the way you want it to) it would mean game sharing would be possible. The lack of that is a huge part of the reason why digital sales have been pretty strong and the attach rate is pretty high on the Vita.[/quote]

Ok, but it's a problem if you want your kids to be able to take advantage of remote play too Hopefully this Mac/PC remote play will do the trick.

Did you play for 10 hours?

How many hours did the FO4 plat take you?

According to Eurogamer, they'll have a digital foundry analysis of San andreas hd up soon so we can see if it's the shitty mobile port or not.

How come nobody posted the True Trophies November friends leaderboard?

So what's the interest in San Andreas HD about? It doesn't appear to have aged well at all and calling this HD is quite a stretch.

The more I play Guitar Hero Live, the more I'm kind of pissed at the bad rap it got for its F2P model. You get anywhere from 2-6 free plays every day just for logging in, and you can easily get one free play for every two channel songs you play. And the channels are like old school MTV when it was actually cool and played videos all day, except this way you get to play along to the video.
Just played a couple of songs in this so it's fresh in my mind. I kind of like the model too, but there are some caveats. First, you have to be pretty willing to play any song or else it's going to suck. I'm not usually into metal, but it seems like channel 1 is more metal and 2 is more indie, which is good. It's super weird that there are like...commercials in between every couple songs. I mean, I guess it's a good way to get the word out if there are new things in the song library, but still. The whole setup does suck if you want to play specific songs in a party setting like the old guitar hero/rock bands (unless you've saved up a lot of plays or want to pay the $6 or whatever for a 24 hour unlimited pass). I do think I like it more than rock band 4, which is something I never thought I'd say.

Also, if you want to practice a specific song over and over to get good at it, you're going to need to drain a lot of coins. I can't imagine ever being good enough to play a channel on expert and just dive into a song I've never heard with an insane note layout. I'm just barely getting over the difficulty hump going from casual to normal with all of the chords and stuff.

It's a damn classic and I'd love to replay it again and get the plat, as I'm sure lots of other folks would as well. Not if it's the mobile port the 360 got though. I saw that video earlier, the guy says it looks just like the 360 version which doesn't bode well.

I played more GHL last night. I've been playing normal and I've gotten used to it for the most part. Switching back and forth between rows doesn't really bother me any more and my hand's gotten used to the back and forth. The notes where you hold down the front and back button at the same time are still giving me trouble, though; using my finger tip to press down on both buttons at once is a bit rough, but laying my finger down across both buttons slows me down too much when switching back to single-button notes. I've only played the game over 4-5 session so far and I'm hoping this will just resolve itself with additional practice.

The channel approach is a bit iffy. Last night I played on whatever the default channel was for a bit over an hour to get that trophy. I didn't know any of the songs and didn't much care for them, either. The library has a ton of great tunes so I'm not sure how the channel ended up being so overwhelmingly lackluster. Coins still roll in easy enough so it doesn't take much to buy plays and make your own selections.

I haven't looked at the real money stuff yet. I think what the game does need is an ability to buy songs outright. Like if you really enjoy the Metallica songs you can spend a bit and have unrestricted access to those without having to worry about play credits. Not sure if there's anything built into it like that, but it would offset the play credit requirement nicely, I think. Having a nice library of purchased songs would mesh well with the old party approach munky mentioned.

Right now I'm at level 6. I'm looking forward to seeing what level 9 and the guitar upgrades bring.

The jaggies all over the place indicates a pretty strong lack of care. You'd think they could have at least added some form of AA. With that little effort I'd be really, really surprised if they used anything but the laziest iOS port they could manage.

Snoopy's Grand Adventure looks like a good game to pick up for the wife to watch me play. She's making me take her to see Peanuts this weekend. We went out for Thai on Monday and Charlie Brown xmas was on the TV across the restaurant. She was distracted by it all dinner.

I'd buy it now but $50 for a 5-6 hour plat is just ridiculous. Stupid Activision.
It was 25 or something Cyber Monday at BBY.

One of you JC3 players needs to call me out on a score so I can beat it for the Anything You Can Do... trophy. I can do the same for anyone else who doesn't already have it (i.e. not Pharm).

Also, IT'S SO AWESOME.

You don't like all those 70's and 80's wives?
They're fine. It's just not really a "game show", it's kinda just celebs talking about their relationships. Also doesn't help because these are mid-tier 70s and 80s celebs, so it's really rare that I actually recognize anyone.

Hey zimm I feel so cheap doing this but I found an unlimited money glitch on Bigfest so next time you visit my whole place will be pimped out.

I'm not happy with myself for wanting this.
I trying pretty hard not to get this

Didn't see this mentioned in the Target clearance thread. Rather put this here to help anyone that might be so inclined to seek it out.

My Target had 3 Black Ops/Dualshock 3 combo platter packs. On clearance for $23.XX. DPCI is 207-24-1718. Wish the controller was anything other than black, but eh, great price.

I bought the gold DS3 for $27.XX and was happy to do so. For $23 I bought 2. Will keep 1 Duty game and send the other to my sisters house so I can play co-op with my son when he visits there.

PS- assuming there is non couch co-op. Veloooooooo??

I only recognized Jerry Stiller. And yeah, it's just a bad concept. Whoever gets the most points means their sections splits it. So if they get 500 points plus the 1000 bonus for winning split among the 122 people in the section, means you left with 12.29. I guess it means they paid you to watch the show but barely.

yeah im on now playing gauntlet hit me up

I can only hope that when I'm in my late 40s like you that I've melted my brain enough to still consider drug and alcohol references aimed at teenagers "cool" and "clever."

Anyone else been receiving the same "You've reached Whitechapel" email from Sony for the past week around 11AM?  I reached Whitechapel earlier this year.
