Holy fuck, Batman v Superman looks awful. Zack Snyder should never be let on a movie set again.

Actually managed to look worse than the new Captain America.
Wonder when they'll let Affleck direct.

This new trailer actually made me more interested since it implies that Lex is at fault for a lot of their animosity. Having them played against each other makes a lot more sense than that they're both completely stupid.

Civil War with its Cap vs Stark bit actually works a lot less since there's been so many more movies in that specific universe and they've done a really bad job of building up to this conflict. It just comes out of nowhere, doesn't fit with the established characterizations and plotlines, and is extremely unappealing because of it.

Of the two I'm expecting that Super vs Bat will be better from a story perspective but will go so far overboard in the gratuitous destruction that it'll be at least 45 minutes too long. Civil War will have the worse story but will feel like the better movie because it'll balance the action scenes better.

It's in Japanese so no telling what they're saying, but it does a good job of showing off the graphics and more of the combat. The game does look quite pretty.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls just came out for Vita in Japan. It's a port of a PS3 game that we got here, so maybe it'll get localized. Here's the intro from the PS3 version if anybody is curious:

It's at the veeery end, after all the stripping and bouncing boobies and ridiculous violence.

Oh and apparently Estival Versus has a Finish Her! bit for the characters, where they have various nude beaten up clips. Stuff like spanking, an octopus fondling the girl's breasts, a mushroom exploding in a girl's face, etc.. They're varied enough that the video showing these scenes is 8 minutes long even though each scene is only a few seconds long. Crazy.

okay so there are definitiely certain challenges in certain regions that cause the load time issues in JC3.  I played many missions and challenges and the load times were fine, but in this one region every time I try to do a challenge the load time takes minutes.  Crazy.  They needed to have that fixed prior to release.  Shit like this shows why I love Rockstar so much.  They refine the shit out of GTA/Red Dead until they are ready.

I think BvS looks just fine. Sure, the CG in that trailer isn't going to win any awards and they probably shouldn't have spoiled as much as they did (though WB was likely scrambling to release this after the awesome Civil War trailer), but the film looks entertaining enough that I'll see it in theaters.

New supes vs batman trailer actually got me interested in the movie. Hopefully Wonder Woman gets to be badass and not just throw away. Still just hoping that Civil War isn't as disappointing as Ultron. I'll probably see both of them opening weekend either way.

I tried it out this morning and it seems decent enough. The trophy grind is ridiculous but the thing that surprised me was the difficulty. Once you have four players in it seems like some situations are nearly impossible to escape without one or two people dying.

Also, played for a little over an hour. No trophies. Game sucks.

I technically only played through the first four worlds (not including Skies of Paris) a second time because you get the final costume in the fourth and I wanted to be done with the game once I reached the credits for the first time.

Those jellybeans were annoying as heck, though--300 per level is WAY too many even for a kids' game.

 
snoopy's grand adventure post-mortem:

it really is a kids game in case anyone was wondering.  the controls are: dpad or stick to move, cross to jump.  I think in one costume box does a dash punch.  it's nice that a 2nd controller can come in with woodstock and help by knocking out enemies and creating easier routes to skip past some of the pain in the ass sections, that seems pretty kid friendly.  

pros:

- it takes like an hour to get 91% of the trophies

- peanuts characters look cool, I like their weird computer animated versions

- the flying ace levels aren't bad

- the bosses are all totally fine

- some of the platforming is pretty cool.  I liked the space level that mucks with gravity/mega jumps/super speed.

cons: 

- some of the platforming is awful.  the last level in particular just feels incredibly disjointed and unfun.

- that one dumb trophy for the collectibles.  there's so many things that suck about this considering that the game is otherwise fine.  it's funny that I have two trophies left w/ 91% completion and that's a 'B' on psnp.

I fuck ing hate it when tyler's right.

 
Got the new couch so I am all set now for the new year.

Side note:  We have manned guard gates where they call you for deliveries.  I forgot to take the ex wifes number off the list so she got all the calls for the deliveries.   so she knows...oh she knows...

oh and not that anybody cares, but I finally soloed my way through that godforsaken intro to the keep in zat with the snipers + summoners.  and then someone joined my game and I was all like 'awesome, I'm finally going to finish this piece of shit level!'.  I went in to the next area (the cave) and was promptly killed by a rock falling on my head.  my new partner just sat there while I bled out until he was mauled by zombies as he was trying to figure out how to use his gun.

Can we maybe wait until the movies actually come out before we start determining which one is better and has the best scenes and is too long and characterizes the characters that have already been characterized before?
