What are the odds these betas and alphas are really about testing? I think pretty low. More like HHHYYYYPPPPEEEE!
I think that they probably get a ton of useful backend data from the beta tests, but it depends - sw battlefront? Probably not so much testing and more seeing how much compute they had to plan/pay for at release based on their sales predictions and also hyyyyype. street fighter 5? they're definitely still working through their netcode and making revisions (not to mention getting a lot of balance bitching out of the way now), that one seems pretty genuinely about testing. rocket league was probably actual testing too, although it got the added benefit of hyyyype through the roof.

Sorry for not responding sooner Vig, Not sure exactly how long Fallout took in game, couldn't seem to find where it tells you, it simply just said how many "in game hours" had past...

But I will say that the time will be cut in half by using the exploits. Used the Caps bartering exploit, and the duplicate resources exploit as well. You need roughly 30,000 caps to get the benevolent leader trophy alone. And then the resources duplication helped me get from level 40 to 50 in about 20 minutes.

Other than that the story missions required for the trophies didn't take as long as I thought. Just lots of grinding for some of the other ones and collectibles.
I should probably get some more FO4 playtime in soon before Bethesda decides to fix those exploits, then. You didn't use the You're SPECIAL! trick to max out your stats?

Are you guys seriously complaining about the Sony Santa Monica tease? You do realize it was announced that they are working on two games, and this bound game is actually being mainly developed by a small studio in Poland and Sony is helping out. This isn't the big AAA title that they have been working on.... coming in late, but thinking that is what everyone is talking about
THat's what I said! Or at least thought that could be the case!

Sorry did that too once it came out... made everything a lot easier. Never really had a part of the game I got stuck at, some stupid moments by me, and then forgetting to save often. But the exploits made it much simpler.

Cory Ballrog is the big God of War guy, and he is not attached to this project, he and a team are working on a AAA title that has been unannounced... no need to get everyone panties in a bunch that all this time was spent on an indie downloadable game

God forbid you have to actually play the game...
I still put in probably 50+ hours, without those, the game would be nearly 100+ to plat. Not to mention I loved every minute of it up until some of the post game grind I did. Story was decent and I was actually excited to explore each dungeon and see what I might find or face.

if it's anything like any other grind, getting there legit isn't actually playing the game either. it's likely repetitively doing the same or similar things ad nauseum to reach an artificial goal. I expect subverting a mind numbing grind doesn't detract from the game if you're a trophy slut - in fact, it probably enhances it since you don't get sick to death of it prematurely or whatever.

Exactly! Would have come to hate the game had I had to grind. It was perfect. The benevolent leader trophy is one of the dumbest out there, otherwise Bethesda did a nice job on the trophies.

But what good does eliminating a grind do for you?

I'm not gonna lie, home improvisation conceptually is total trash.  coop furniture building (or modern art sculpting I guess) is the dumbest thing I've heard of in a video game since a bird dating simulator.

People like that bird dating game, though. 5 stars on PSN.

I hope Sony Bend announces something at PSX, want to see what they've been working on for the past 4 years.
Listening to PS I Love You XOXO, they think it's a forgone conclusion that Bend's game will be the big one covered at the end. but they know it is a complete new IP and not Syphon Filter

I know, I listen as well. I really loved their PSP Syphon Filter games...they were great.

Yo Gator,

Probably gonna go grab one of these with some english pasties from a  food truck before a concert tonight (Silversun Pickups and Metric #hipster).  Looks right up your alley.

I think there's a disc in Japan but not here.
Classic shooter fans are willing to pay a lot for their games. I think they are generally priced high because the market is relatively small, but dedicated. I imported some Cave shooters for my 360 (though I'm kind of Cave'd out now). I've got to admit that I'm tempted to buy it even though I know that's amazingly stupid. It does sound like it has a lot of content, at least. They are claiming thousands of stages.

I had a good trophy month in November! Nearly 7,000 true trophy points during the month... my highest month before that was around 4000, and I mostly average 1500 to 2000 in a normal month! Love those plats!
If you look at my curve you can see when I started Dragon's Crown as the rate of gain slowed down quite a bit, though it was enough to barely overtake you.

Finally watched the trailer and Monsters & Monocles looks pretty great. Would be nice if it was a launch Plus game, though. Says it has online (and local) coop too.

Looked on Play-Asia and they only seem to have a listing (actually, 2 - one is a collector's edition) for the Vita version of Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. Not PS4. Due out in January. Seems odd to have a Vita retail release, but not PS4. Anyway, the download is cheaper.

Think Vita will see a price drop at PSX (seems due)? It would be nice to get more $$$ back from Gamestop for my Aqua Blue.

Damn dude Metric and Silversun pickups in one night. If Crystal Castles and Odesza were there too that would be my dream concert right there.

Oh and for the glitch just choose the bottom poster and just afk when they start talking. Play some games on the PS4 ps3 while it accumulates money.

That Croixleur Sigma thing I shared yesterday is going to get a Vita version next year. The dev gave some bullshit reason for why it won't be cross-buy.

Will it be cross-buy with the Vita version?

Yeah, sadly it won’t be cross buy because the Vita version is hitting in early 2016.

If you're going to lie at least make it believable, asshole. Other companies do cross-buy with different release dates all the time.

Jazzpunk is being ported to PS4 with some enhancements.

Here's the PC trailer. Tune in for some live action thing that doesn't have anything to do with the game until the last 30 seconds. That's the best kinda trailer, right?

<snip>
I skipped to the last 30 seconds and that didn't really show what the game is like much either, unless it's a walking simulator.

Other two bands are The Wombats and Melanie Martinez (who I guess was on the Voice). It's a two night Snow Show thing the new shitty alt station here is starting. Tomorrow night is Death Cab For Cutie, but I'm only going tonight because Silversun Pickups are my favorite of all the regularly active bands out there.

Also thanks for the BigFest money tip. Not sure why I didn't think of doing that before.

Seriously though, I've been clamoring for a Bit.Trip Collection release on Vita since I got one.  I'd even play it without trophies!

This will also make the fourth time I've bought these games (one was via a humble bundle where I hardly paid anything).

SOOOO HYYYYYYYPPEEEEEEEEEEE
