Zimm, I dont get the whole deal with you and the soon to be ex wife buying yourselves xmas gifts.  Isnt that just like buying yourself something any other day of the year?  You arent wrapping them and putting them under the tree for each other to open on xmas day are you?

Pretty sure we are to keep up the illusion with the kid, since we haven't told him yet since we're both still living at home.

Obviously not gonna wrap up the computer and stuff, but as far as I know we're gonna wrap my stuff. Or maybe not since she won't have anything under the tree and that'd be weird. I don't know. I supposed I'll actually have to talk to her.

I thought your kid was old enough that he would have already figured out what was going on no?

And yeah talking to the wife sucks.  I know I didnt talk to mine much for 6 months.  Problem with that is that it delayed the finalizing of the divorce since I didnt push her to get her lawyer on track.  

 
We stopped doing the presents thing for each other a while back. We also just get things for ourselves when we want. Then at birthdays/holidays we go out and make the day awesome. It works pretty well for us.

He probably has a general idea somethings up since one of us is always gone every weekend and we're sleeping apart. He's a smart kid. Just nothing explicit has been said to him about anything.

Wife said I didn't have to get her anything. We bought a bunch of stuff for the house and even a few small things for each other already. I am not falling for that trap though.

I am not sure what I am going to get her though. Won't be anything expensive but will be something. I got some clothes for work and some games. Most of which I bought with credit but did spend IDK $90 or so at Target during their buy 2 get 1.

We bought 7.5" fake tree. Haven't put it up yet but need to have something under it I guess.

Good call getting such a small tree. Cant get much under a 7.5 inch tree.

Yes! I managed to download Nuclear Throne and am almost done with The Bit Trip on the airport WiFi. Got some new games to keep me company.

Also downloading The Bridge because one of the PSX theme codes ended up being for that game on multiple platforms.

I saw it yesterday and figured no one gave a crap because LBP3 stunk.

 
The wife and I don't spend much on each other but it seems like more because all our gift-giving events are within a month. Her bday is 11/27, our anniversary 12/13, and my bday 12/19. With those and xmas we spent ~$200 on each other. 

Her family is the worst since she has so many relatives she gives gifts for. That's where the bulk of our spending goes.

We still exchange gifts, but as I've said before, we buy our own stuff and then give it to each other to give on Xmas. It's still kind of fun to do. We're weird I guess. Actually, I gave the Gold headset to my mother-in-law because I overspent on myself and she wanted a gift idea for me. It works out.

That looks like a boy. Our son hasn't had his hair that long since he was 2. We usually keep it short or shaved lately.

It sort of looks like breadface's hair when it's taken out o it's braid before bath. Followed by massive screaming with the tangle comb-outs.

If its really white elephant there shouldn't be a max value on it. Nobody should be buying anything for white elephant, they should just be regifting something awful that someone else gave them.

I have an "Animal-Speak: The Spiritual and Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small" book all lined up for my next white elephant exchange. I was going to give it last year but ended up giving away that weird ass My Little Pony book that someone sent me last year.

How the hell is it possible to go faster in today's daily Rayman challenge? I top out at just over 26 seconds and don't get how people can get to 21 & 23 on the leaderboards.
 
The League episode 2 weeks ago was just so incredibly bad. The one with the funeral. It's a good example of how the Rafi+Dirty Randy stuff is generally terrible. They're good for a few minutes of an episode but nothing more.
