Finally beat the 61st event for the trophy. In the last few events they artificially ramp up the difficulty by forcing you to use vehicles that don't turn very well. The hardest car to get, the most wanted #1 (Agera) is close to useless because of that, which is really dispiriting. If the turn is sharp (like 80-90 degrees) you can use a combination of drift and the hand brake to make the turn, but light turns or weaving to avoid traffic at high speeds is pretty much out of the question.

I must of spent 50-60 times trying to beat the last event, Needle Point, with the Agera and finally gave up and spent a few races getting mods for the Bugatti to use in the race instead (those are the only two options) which despite only a slight difference in stats has much faster acceleration and better handling. Even with that it was like 60% skill and 40% luck as occasionally the RNG will spit out a cop car driving straight at you and at the high speeds required to complete the challenge you won't have enough time to steer to get out of the way. Unlike Burnout Paradise which I enjoyed all the way through, by the time I had a few events to go I was just ready for it to be over.

I WAS able to use the Agera to beat Pharma's average speed score by 0.1 MPH on The Getaway (the second to last event)

John Wick was awesome! You guys weren't joking. Headshot after headshot. I liked the world they built and was reading that the studio wants to turn it into a franchise. That's unsurprising yet still disappointing. I wonder if they'll bring Keanu back or try to use a new actor.

The movie was definitely better than The Equalizer. Both were brutal, but John Wick was more entertaining. I felt like The Equalizer dragged a bit. Denzel is still badass for his age though.
 
I was on the fence about Dust at first, but it pulled me in eventually. I'm about halfway through now, I think. I'm at the
boss in the caverns. I fought her once and she slaughtered me, so I turned it off because I was tired.

I've gotten this game free twice now, on Plus and on GwG. I kinda want to just buy it on principle, though, because it's way too fun.

Under the Dome Season 1 was ruined for me by the stupid, stupid sheriff. Also, the villain got away with so much that it strained cred my ability to believe in the plot. I know the sheriff is not a problem in season 2 (thank goodness), but I haven't heard whether or not the writing gets better.

Not really. It gets far more outlandish than the first season.

 
I could use a new family member who likes to receive their AMAZing packages quickly. That would be a prime situation for everyone involved.

You didn't like Green Mile or Shawshank Redemption? I thought The Mist and Secret Window were alright but I never did read either of those.

Running Man was a lot of fun but really nothing like the book at all.

Finished the last of the mushrooms on AC: Liberation and have my Vita set to jump at walls until the last trophy pops. Downloading Spec Ops: The Line now. Planning to knock that out tomorrow because right now I'm way further into the month than I expected to be for finishing my first game.

 
I liked The Shining and loved Full Metal Jacket.  Every other Kubrick movie is just plain strange and downright dumb.   I am looking at you Clockwork Orange.  How anyone could enjoy that movie is beyond me.  It is just sick.  And dumb.  Pointless.  And yes I know its based on a book. The book had to be worse.  I see it was written in the 60s so its obvious the dude that wrote it was high as a kite.

I like a lot of the Steven King movies.  Shawshank is obviously the greatest of all time though.  No guy I know can not watch it when it comes on TV.  Every fuck ing day.  Love it.

Oh and IT and Green Mile were good though Green Mile is a little too fantastical for me.

Melting Pot is good, but I would rather spend $100 somewhere where I dont have to make my own food. Its a god bonding experience I guess for a new couple. But once is all you need. Then you can go to a real restaurant and have those bitches make everything for you.

Cool. I crashed before 10pm last night so I didnt get back on to check. I will have to check again tonight when I get home. I hope your stuff doesnt disappear after 3 hours. I assume it means I can load up tonight to see your "stuff" and then wait another 3 hours and maybe get more of your "stuff".

Near stuff does expire, but that's measured in days. The limitation is that you can only share something new with your friends every three hours.

I need to boot it up and mooch off you guys while I can. I think I lost my save too but I can't check until I redownload the game.
 
Sweet my library just got some new ps4 games and ordered some more including gat out of hell and dying light.

Strangely they only seem to be missing knack.

Cartwheel stacks with PMs, so yes. Have the 30% off FC4 offer "saved" to your barcode on the app, ask for the PM, then have the employee scan the Cartwheel barcode when he/she tells you the total after the PM.

Yea debating this too. I have shadows, metro redux, and soon the order. trying to keep the ps4 backlog down. Never really got into fc3 and this one is supposed to not be as good.

Although tyler got the plat so it must be pretty easy.

 
So - do I get The Order on release or naw?

Also, just learned about this game called Omega Quintet, a hybrid idol and jrpg game that's already been released in Japan and is coming to the US. Features include:
- a plot revolving around a Japanese idol group that has the power to save the world from something called 'the beep'

- clothes get destroyed the more damage you take

- make custom dance videos

- PS move support (???)
 
Those TVs with the really high refresh rate look kind of weird. I don't have one so whenever I see it at Costco/BB/whatever it's hard to get used to. I'm sure it's better but something about it just makes everything look like a soap opera.
