I came home to my wife and kid watching a movie on Netflix that is basically this exact same premise. Was called Hachiko: A Dog's Story. Based on a true story.

Dog used to meet this dude at a train station every morning and night before and after work. Dude dies. Dog still shows up hoping and waiting for dude to show up for 10 years. People build a statue for the dog.

When I saw that Futurama clip, I thought the writers had based it on that story since the only difference was where the dog was waiting.

I should be on schedule to finish I Am Alive tonight; although I'll still have to do a second playthrough for the Survivor Mode trophy, I'll consider that one done for 4-for-Feb.

Enemy confrontations are still the best thing about the game, especially now that I have the bow and shotgun.

 
Not sure if anyone cares (maybe the gs crowd), but supposedly resident evil revelations 2 digital preorder is ps3/ps4 crossbuy. If it was ps4/vita crossbuy of be all over it.
 
Not actually having read the reviews, only looked at the numbers like any red-blooded American would do, The Order sounds like a game I'm OK with not having a pre-order in for, but I'll be anxious to hear your guys/gals opinions on it once you get a chance to play it. Don't forget to rapidly press X and then hit Triangle.

I finished Mordor last night! 2 out of 4 for Feb. now. 

Man what a great game that came out of nowhere. I never buy DLC but I'm actually considering it for this game. Really great. It's funny the story even picked up in the last 20% of the main game. 

I'm on the fence about if I should bother with The Order right now or not. I'm sure it's not awful and I have $15 in BB certs but it seems like something I can wait on. Have a feeling it will hit bargain bins sooner rather than later. I realize at BB it's basically a rental though so maybe I should just go for it. 

I have it as a 4 for Feb game though. Decisions decisions.

I'm kinda surprised that's coming to Vita. The smaller screen feels like it would ruin the environmental aspect of a horror game. I've not actually tested it yet, though, so maybe it works fine.

Guess I should bump Outlast up on my queue. Not sure if I have any other horror games for it. Silent Hill: Book of Memories doesn't fit the bill, I imagine.

Cool. I actually don't think they look very good though. Bender's eyes look weird. And most Funko Pop humans are pretty bland and unremarkable so I don't buy those. I mean, look at that Fry. It's basically just "Red Headed Man". It could just as easily be Casual Conan O'Brien.

I'll probably still get the Bender though. And I might have to break my no humans rule if they make a Zapp Brannigan.

Yeah true, although I might just re-sell it on ebay to make some $$$ off it. If I get it at BB It will be $48-$15 in certs so $33 before tax. If I get right to it I should be fine in that regard. Hmmmm.

 
I'm probably just a review whore, but the The Order 1886 reviews are really turning me off.  Cinematic overload and mediocre gameplay?  Definitely not what I'm looking for.

I may even not bother picking up my $50 CE tomorrow and just rent it for a couple bucks some point down the line.

I am definitely going to get it from Gamefly, because why not? However, when it is being compared to Ryse and MGS due to the QTEs and being heavy on the cinematics, I just keep thinking thank goodness it is short because I may hate it.

To be fair, I brought up MGS but I've not played The Order yet. I was just going off how it was described elsewhere and thought it sounded similar. Or have you seen other people making that comparison?

really though I think screen size is only relevant in a ratio of size:distance. If you have a 50" TV and sit 10 feet away you'd get an alike fov effect with a 5" screen held 1 foot from your face. I'm sure I'll be corrected, but this is why (both logically and in my experience) I've never bought in to the small screen instantly being lesser than a TV experience.

Being a review whore makes more sense than being a trophy whore, at least. I suspect if the platinum on the Order required 3 or 4 playthroughs only like two of us would be buying it.

 
Finished off Costume Quest 2.  Definitely feels more like an expansion of the first game than a sequel though, so those of you that are looking for more of the same shouldn't be disappointed.  Still fun for what it is, I guess; my kids are already asking for Costume Quest 3.

But wouldn't platting it over the weekend and (hopefully) trading it in to Best Buy for $40+ be almost the same thing, give or take a couple more bucks, plus you get myBestBuy points?

Well if I can get $40 or $44 for it from Best Buy then yeah it's the same thing. Not having a case to trade it in with already sucks (I've been turned down at BB before for no case) and if I get shot down again at BB and end up only getting $33 from Amazon then that would suck.

Does your Best Buy sell used games? If so, find one that doesn't have a case and bring it up with you when you try to trade in a disc-only game. Officially, Best Buys aren't supposed to deny your trade-in if it's just the disc/cartridge.

 
Hopefully I am as happy as I am today about the fridge purchase for quite a while.  I went to Publix to pick up some stuff to last me the next couple of days for lunch at work instead of going out.  A ham and swiss flat bread sandwich slathered with jalapeno hummus has a damn good flavor.  I picked up some grape tomatoes and ate a few of those with the sandwich while dipping them in more hummus.

It had much better flavor than a lot of the crap I get for lunch since so few places really make bold flavor meals and instead cater to the masses.  We will have to see if I can come up with enough different stuff to have in the rotation so I am still as happy in 6 months with what I am eating as what I am today.

Glad my best buy is worth a damn for game stuff. Never have the issues others complain about. Id be perturbed if my best buy denied a game only trade. Ive done it a ton, mostly with CE games that have a steelbook, not because I really like steelbooks, but because why not?

They cancelled mine this morning saying they didn't have any in stock. Ah well, I wouldn't have used it anyway and would have resold it. Reviews have looked pretty good.

 
Just went to Tom and Chee for lunch. Fancy grilled cheese chain. Hadn't heard of it before, but the food was pretty good. They've got a bunch of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches, and a create your own menu. The apparently also do grilled cheese donuts. Ended up doing a make your own with bacon and tomatoes for mine. Definitely good enough and inexpensive enough to go every couple weeks for lunch tho. 

 
I am going to post a shit ton this weekend about how fuck ing awesome The Order is, even if it sucks.

fuckin' shit. Minecraft vaporized several hours of my day last night, but at least I got basically every trophy with the exception of a few I got when I first booted it up. Now I just need to let my PS4 cook overnight to get that 100 day trophy and I'll be done.

Is anyone really not playing Resogun: Defenders? I figured at least simmias would be playing it to keep his 100% alive or something. I swear a few of you had the season pass.

 
Love it Zimm.  People here are complaining about the "cold" and asking when the weather will be "nice" around here.  The high is only about 51 today.  But its sunny with not a cloud in the sky and an all around BEAUTIFUL day as far as I am concerned.

I mean its 80-90 fuck ing degrees 8 months out of the year here and these fuck tards cant wait for it to be "nice"??!

I only have to beat the final boss to finish Crushing Uncharted. 

I just have a few more cleanup trophies to do. I have two more bounties to get as well so if anyone still needs it I am going to do the near thing for another day or two.
