Is anyone picking up Toukiden Kiwami on PS4? I abandoned monster hunter despite loving it because the game simply begs for a controller. This looks to be my perfect solution. Far more monster hunter-esque than whatever Ragnarok Odyssey tried to be.
I'm still enjoying Monster Hunter, but if there's a full fledged hunting game on PS4 I'll definitely take a look. The controls on mh work so much better with a new 3ds, but if there's a clone with shiny graphics and a real controller, I'd swap over.

Is PS3 Blackgate the one everybody shits on or was that just the Vita version?
I thought the PS3 version was just a port? Shouldn't it be equally shitted on? Unless they upgraded something. Vita version was okay, nothing great, but not awful either. It just definitely wasn't worth the 3 play throughs for the plat.

Bloodborne update:

Destroyed the
Witch of Hemwick.
Was fairly surprised by it too, but I was all over her the entire time. That would be four bosses down. I'm curious how some are doing so far. Lost about 20,000 echoes in a very stupid way, but thats what greed gets you. Haven't really used the multiplayer, but would be down for that.

Holy shit, this chick is good.

whos the hipster now?

Only about halfway through Suicidal but damn.
Yeah she's fucking amazing. Discovered this band when I saw them open for Muse a couple years ago. She can do all this same shit live. To really hear her go all out, check out Face to Face on their first album. Gives me goosebumps every time. Their song "The Weatherman" was also on the NFS: Most Wanted soundtrack. They also did a cover of "Heart Shaped Box" for the inFamous Second Son commercial.

Has anyone in here played the Arkham Origins DLC (besides to glitch those free trophies)?  Thinking about that $5 season pass since the game is in my #AdaptationApril list.

I really liked playing through both to 100% completion (NSMB2 was better than NSMB), though they were much easier than older Mario titles. I rarely lost any lives and earned at least 2-3 more per level, but I had lots of fun anyway.

If you're more of an old-school Mario fan, you might like NSMB2 more, but honestly, I'd recommend both.
Thanks I might order or pick this up then.

I was thinking MLB 15 could be used for #AdaptationApril since baseball happened before vidya games.

A stretch?  Yessir.

But fuck it anyway.

we lost the defense mission earlier, no surprise there. seems like there huge drop off in players has happened too. last 4 times i've logged on there have been under 2000 people playing. barely hit 3000 when the cyborg homeworld was going on.

Woo Hoo! Bloodborne update! I think I'm almost to my fourth boss, but it's not the one you spoilered (I'm heading towards Vicar Amelia). What were the first 3 you did? On my way to find her yesterday I discovered a sweet secret area that unlocked a trophy. Spoilered in case it is a spoiler:
It was an area that looked just like hunter's dream, but it was abandoned. I found an outfit of doll clothes with pretty lame stats, but they netted me over 30,000 souls selling in the store

I've yet to lose that large an amount of souls yet, but I know it's coming. I have had numerous occasions where I get back to where I died and the blood spot is nowhere to be found. Usually it's when I dies during a boss fight and then exit the game and come back later. I know enemies are supposed to absorb your blood spot sometimes, but I don't think bosses do (their eyes aren't blue at least).

Edit: And what weapon is everyone digging? I've been using the Kirkhammer for awhile but I just ponied up the dough for Ludwig's Holy Blade. Liking it fine so far. Gotta put more time into it.

So for all those asking about BlackGate:  If you are going to play one version of the game, you want it to be the PS3 version.  To call the Vita map god awful would be an understatement.  It is supposed to be better on PS3.  A lot of people also complained about how boring the backtracking is on Vita.  Apparently, the enemies respawn on PS3.  I am not sure I am happy about that since it will just increase backtracking time, but at least there will be something to do except run across the map I guess.

For the plat, you have to play the game 3 times (have to defeat each of the 3 bosses last to unlock all endings).  With all that backtracking, it becomes a bit of a chore.  It is frustrating as all hell with the shitty map on Vita.

If you have any interest in the game, I would suggest the PS3 version since any improvement to the map would be welcome.  Since I have trophy issues, I will be getting the PSN version to play again and probably end up hating myself for doing that later.

Looks like Whoa Dave shows up on the store as free for both the PS4 and Vita versions for anyone who had the PS+ version on the Vita.  Rebuying the Vita version removes the expiration date from what I see.  For almost any other game, it might mean something.

<p>

PS Blog has this listing. Link doesn't go anywhere but I guess we know how much that Assassin's Creed Chronicles game is going to be. Unless this is additional DLC on top of that which doesn't make sense...
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles

  • Trilogy Pack ($24.99)
The IGN article i read made it seem like there would be three different side scrolling games (china, russia, and japan i think) for $10 each. This is like a bundle of all 3 i guess.

Sold my (sealed) copy of Super Mario All Stars Wii version for like $70 right now after shipping and fees.  I'm happy with that.

Also sold my ridiculously old phat Blue Nintendo DS for $25.

The Hunter's Axe is a really powerful weapon, I have mine at +9 right now and I am cruising through the game (I'm about to start the final area before the last boss). I didn't like Ludwig's Holy Blade, because it was really slow. The Hunter's Axe is pretty powerful, and fairly fast considering how heavy it hits.

I really need to do that dupe item thing that Bums showed me.  Otherwise I will never get through Bloodborne.

Saw something about that this morning. Some guy used that glitch, and beat the game in 41 minutes. I'd like to think I'm going to start that next, but my re rev will be here Thursday, and then I have the April games to play.
