The list I had was so long because most of the games I played were flash sale type games that I bought knowing they were super short. There is nothing in that list that could be considered long or difficult with the possible exception of LBP3. That one I had already played a lot of before the month started. I also had the last 3 days off with nothing to do but play games. That made a huge difference since 8 from the list were finished over those 3 days. You guys are all nuts, I dont ever have the time to play that many games let alone 100 percent or plat them. Congrats!
What a great day. Its freaking gorgeous outside. Its PAYDAY friday. Its the first day of May so its the start of the 3 paycheck month plus the holiday is coming up.
Hope you all have a good Friday.
It is a twin stick shooter so I know a lot of people in the thread will be all over that one.Ultratron, a homage to Robotron 2048, out on May 12th for PS4, PS3 and Vita (cross-buy):

No gameplay video there and I find it hard to tell what is going on in the screenshots there, but there is a trailer on Steam. 92% positive reviews on steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/219190
Most definitely. I would actually consider going to a midnight release. I thought arkham city was pretty good and what little I've played of origins seems fine I guess, but asylum really mailed the whole thing.Do you plan on getting Arkham Knight day-one? At the very least, it's part of Best Buy's $10 cert promo so you could trade it in for $40+ not long after release (though I doubt I'll be doing that).
Robotron is a great game, but one thing I don't see in the trailer for Ultratron is saving humans. It's odd that a homage to it doesn't seem to include that.It is a twin stick shooter so I know a lot of people in the thread will be all over that one.
AA was definitely the best Batman game of the series. Not just for being first, the story and pacing were all great as you said. Most definitely. I would actually consider going to a midnight release. I could maybe be up for this, though won't be available until at least an hour after that, probably later.Anyone want to do a round or two of virtua tennis boosting tonight? I think I'm ready to finish that nonsense off. I'll be rarin to go for some hot ball on grass (court) action around 7:30p CDT.
The one thing Rocksteady seems to have trouble nailing is the final boss. Hopefully Arkham Knight remedies that.AA was definitely the best Batman game of the series. Not just for being first, the story and pacing were all great as you said.
I probably will do this so I can play through it once and then maybe pick up the GOTY down the road instead of paying $40 for the DLC.Do you plan on getting Arkham Knight day-one? It was my favorite of the series so far. Not even close really. Looking forward to Knight. I am sure it will be beautiful but a bit concerned it going to be a big open world game with him basically driving a tank. I am not big on stealth games but really like the stealth in Asylum. I liked the small areas vs traveling all over a large city to get to next area.I'm amazed at what a good game arkham asylum still is. Granted it's only 6 years old but to me there's very little in the genre today even in the same class. The story and acting are excellent, it looks amazing, and the mechanics are brilliant and supremely satisfying once you've got them under your thumbs.
The graphics/colors remind me of Titan Attacks. I also agree I could not tell what was going on from the screen shots.Ultratron, a homage to Robotron 2048, out on May 12th for PS4, PS3 and Vita (cross-buy):

March 29th.I completed Jurassic Park episode 1 and 2 (100%) and Hotline Miami 2. Well I think HLM2 was this month. Or was that last? I really don't know and am too lazy to look it up.
Ya, that will be a drag if that's the case, it wouldn't be the first time a dev screws up the ending stretch.I will be interested to see if you feel the same after Act 3. I really enjoyed the game until that part. There are a couple good puzzles but the whole not dying thing is stupid and frustrating when they add in the enemies in that act.
In our league we allow one extra ball and any beyond that have to be plunged. The purpose is two-fold. Both to speed games up, and to level the playing field, because the better players will get extra balls more often so playing them is an advantage to higher skilled players. To be more specific, in a 3 ball game we allow one extra ball. In a 5 ball game no extra balls. So my first night of pinball league was pretty fun, but man did I stink the joint up. Only get to play one game at each table, and I'd only played one of the machines before. Usually I need a few games to warm up. So for the night I finished ranked 17 out of 18 peeps. Ugh. At least I was top 5 on the Demolition Man table.
Weird feature of the league is that any extra balls you earn are just plunged, so you don't get to play them and just earn whatever points you get from it randomly bouncing around at launch. They do that to keep the games moving faster. Makes sense, but it was interesting to me.
Yeah I'm gonna have to do that next week. These peeps are pretty good too. Have some crazy nudging techniques. My nudges weren't nearly effective as they are in Pinball Arcade. I need to find me an analog stick. In our league we allow one extra ball and any beyond that have to be plunged. The purpose is two-fold. Get there early and put in some practice games before league starts - that's your warmup.
Nice. I'll definitly work on that.Learn how to do a drop catch if you haven't already. One of the most useful skills and it's not that hard. Just takes a little practice to get the timing down:

Honestly, it wouldn't be much of a loss if you skipped Origins. It wasn't too bad, but it was obviously not as good as Rocksteady's efforts.Arkham Knight comes out in late June now right? I might have to postpone my JC2 play through and play Origins first. There's a good chance that if I wait until Knight comes out I'll never play Origins.
I'd recommend playing Origins if only for the story. I was very surprised with how good it was. Probably my favorite of the 3 games. Not required reading for the new game since it's a prequel. Just well done.Honestly, it wouldn't be much of a loss if you skipped Origins. It wasn't too bad, but it was obviously not as good as Rocksteady's efforts.
Basically what I'm saying is YOU BETTER NOT PUT OFF JC2!
Retrofitting is cool, but I'd like to see a developer that has the nuts to put a new subdivision together in the burbs where every house has that configuration. The only city power would be for street lights and whatnot in the whole neighborhood.I know there are a few other nerds in here, so hopefully at least some of you find this as interesting as I do. Elon Musk, the guy behind Tesla Motors, has had his company working on battery technology for some time beyond just what was used for the line of electric cars. They finally announced the product they have created and showed a couple versions of it. The consumer model is going to be $3500 which sounds a bit pricey, but if paired with a solar array could power your home completely off the grid. The question is, how much would a solar array to go along with it cost and will those drop in price as well. No more electric bills would be pretty awesome.
It's also useful if you have off-peak and on-peak electricity rates. The battery charges off-peak, then on-peak it powers your home. I've seen numbers like 4.7 years to break even but it depends on the electricity rates, and they are guaranteeing 10 years of battery life (and of course, perhaps more). Also if power goes out it will work as a backup.I know there are a few other nerds in here, so hopefully at least some of you find this as interesting as I do. I forgot about that. If Sagemoon doesn't go for too many of the collectibles, then I guess it's worth playing.I'd recommend playing Origins if only for the story. Honestly, at those prices, I could see it working even better for greenfield applications like that. Build a centralized kids play area where all the shades are solar panels that feed each of the powercells on the homes. In an area with any concentration of yuppies marketing a green subdivision with no electricity costs would be a gold mine.Retrofitting is cool, but I'd like to see a developer that has the nuts to put a new subdivision together in the burbs where every house has that configuration. Yeah, I'd be mostly be playing for story. Not too concerned with the trophies, probably just grab what I can without worrying about it much. The trophies look kind of annoying overall.I'd recommend playing Origins if only for the story. I was very surprised with how good it was. Probably my favorite of the 3 games. I read that as $3500 whole sale to an authorized installer who probably mark it up at least 50% and then tack on labor and maybe an inverter or other required things to get it working. I am semi considering a home generator so it will be interesting to see how this shakes out price and performance wise. Paying all this money for 5 hours of power isn't that attractive to me.I know there are a few other nerds in here, so hopefully at least some of you find this as interesting as I do. Tesla doesn't sell their cars through authorized resellers, so I'm guessing it's the same for these batteries. They will sell them direct. You do need an inverter, though, and I'm sure installation is not free. If you have solar you apparently have an inverter already, but otherwise you'll need to get one.I read that as $3500 whole sale to an authorized installer who probably mark it up at least 50% and then tack on labor and maybe an inverter or other required things to get it working. Yeah dont trip. Single player requires minimum of 3 playthroughs. Havent even finished up the 2nd. Then theres MP boosting which Im not sure if it actually takes that long, but it is so boring that it feels like it does.Yeah, I'd be mostly be playing for story. Definitely not going to worry about it then. One play through will be enough for me lolYeah dont trip. Single player requires minimum of 3 playthroughs. Havent even finished up the 2nd. I think the problem is Mild doesn't have time to manage it any more. If we made the spreadsheet editable by everybody (at least anyone who's willing to take on that task), that might help (but lock it down like the 4for one). Are we still doing a pinball competition? Not much talk of it anymore. I vote we switch back to Pinball Arcade. Chewy will beat us either way, but those tables tend to be a little more fun and scores are easier to track.
Yeah, pretty much this. Having a new job is poop. I'll open up the spreadsheet for whoever wants to run it.I think the problem is Mild doesn't have time to manage it any more. Haha. That was pretty funny. I like:I know there's not a lot of buzzfeed fans in here, but this list is gold:
