I think my favorite is

$24, after conversion, to get the console edition. I think I'll wait for it to come out. I'll bet the price will be lower. We're taking a hit due to the exchange rate in this KS.

The amount they're asking for is surprisingly small, but it's gonna be funded here in just a few minutes. Pretty impressive, will have taken them about 40 minutes to be funded.

EDIT: 38 minutes.

Yooka Laylee kickstarter is live.

I'd link to it, but, ya know. Hoops and such
It's a bit hard to take them seriously with an initial goal of $270K unless it's already really far along and they ran out of money as I have a hard time believing you can make a good 3D platformer of the pedigree of Banjo-Kazooie (which is why they keeping invoking it) for that little of money. Perhaps they don't really need the money and it's mainly for publicity.

aww, faq answer

We’ve already put a plan in place using personal finances to get the game done no matter what happens, however this extra money can be used by us to hire a few more talented people, get the game done sooner and allow us to commit to more features and platforms too.
So both, but probably more for publicity / preorders.

Are we still doing a pinball competition? Not much talk of it anymore. I vote we switch back to Pinball Arcade. Chewy will beat us either way, but those tables tend to be a little more fun and scores are easier to track.
After playing both tables, I have to say Pinball Arcade is my preference even though that means I would have to buy the new tables. I've been eyeing that Starship troopers one.

Yeah, pretty much this. Having a new job is poop. I'll open up the spreadsheet for whoever wants to run it.
Stop earning trophies and your priorities straightened.

One of our coworkers, after 5 years, is quitting and today we held some sort of shindig.  I guess we should have coordinated more as somehow everyone thought it was their responsibility to bring the cake.  We basically have an entire cake per person.

Pancakes, I see you're playing two games I gave pretty low review scores too.  Im interested to hear your thoughts when you're all done (either from completion or burnout).

I'm probably going to get burnt out from both games, Citizens of Earth more than the latter. I still like the game but the combat is getting real dull but the whole catch em all suikoden thing is keeping me going.

I came in with very low expectations for Conception II so I don't think I'll come out disappointed. I'll let you know how I feel once I get into the meat of the game as an hour in, I'm still auto playing dialog.

You know that the people making it basically are Banjo-Kazooie, right?

Didn't beat anything in April. Played quite a bit on Vita, working on NFS MW and Demons Gaze. (Still can't even get past the first boss in Rogue Legacy)

Did pick up too much from the flash sale and this golden week sale. Have barely touched the ps3 at all, sadly. Saints Row 3 is actually pretty dull so far, all of these side quest activities are just carbon copies from Saints Row 2.

I need to get AC IV down off the shelf and start that.....

What were you talking about chicken biscuits at taco bell crunch? I just went there and they had a picture of it on the window, well it was chicken in a taco shape and i think it comes with honey jalepeno sauce now, though I'm sure you could get that not on there if you don't like it.

This Robert Downey Jr quote about indie movies is pretty hilarious:

Q: "Do you ever have a craving after you've finished wrapping one of these [Marvel films] just to make, like, a $500,000 budget indie movie?"

A: "No. Because they’re exhausting and sometimes they suck and then you just go, ‘What was I thinking?’ But I’m interested in doing all different kinds of movies. Sometimes the little movies are the ones that wind up taking the most out of you because they’re like, ‘Hey, man, we’re just running a couple of days behind. Do you think you can stay through your birthday and then come back on the fourth of July? And, by the way, like, the crew—can you pay for the craft services?'"

"'And, oh, by the way, man, when we go to Sundance, it’s like, can we just sit you in a chair and you can sell this for six days in a row so that we’ll make 180 bucks when it opens in one theater? God, this is so powerful what we’re doing. What do you think of the movie? You saw it last night?’”

“I thought it’s mediocre.”

“'Yeah, isn’t it the greatest?! Man, everyone’s an artist here.'”

“Actually, most of you are kind of inexperienced and lame.”

I didn't realize that people were so hot and bothered for banjo kazooie. I watched someone play that n64 one I think and I just didn't get it. But what else is new, there wasn't two overly detailed fighters depleting each other's life bars with combinations of punches and kicks. How could I possibly enjoy that.

Yes, but there's no reason to keep hyping it up if their goal is to make some low budget, bare bones thing that is a shadow of the original, which is all that purely $270K would have bought them even if they are super creative. It would be like saying "from the makers of Golden-Eye, Donkey Kong Country, and Banjo Kazooie; some fuck ing Kinect game."

Yeah, Banjo-Kazooie is god-tier and you are just a pleb unworthy of their favor.

I don't get it either; the super crazed man love over that dumb game. I'm guessing it's mostly nostalgia. That yakko klabooy footage they already showed looks like watching paint dry.

So since Left Behind is included with every copy of the PS4 version of Last of Us, what's the point of making it standalone? Are there people that would want to play that but not want to play the main game? I guess maybe a few who played the main game on PS3 but didn't get around to the DLC can now check it out on PS4?

Maybe they're making it standalone so they can give it away in 2 months on Plus to satiate some of the AAA whiners?

If i still had my 360 I would just stream it all. But it's an awesome action platformer with great locations, vibrant colors, tons of collectibles, and fun characters. Tons of new unlockable moves throughout the game, puzzles, transformations(!), challenging without being overly frustrating, and the music is amazing.

I ended up with two codes for the Last of Us. Had I not I could have seen buying this (although not for $10). I played the Last of Us base game on PS3 when it came out and traded it pretty quickly.

I had also played AC4 on PS4 shortly after it came out. I traded it away long ago. I wanted to play the Freedom Cry DLC but didn't want to hold on to AC4 till it came out. Wanted to get a better TIV. So when the standalone Freedom Cry DLC was on sale recently I bought it.

Maybe I'll have to give it a go at some point. Forgot it got HDed on the 360.

I like quite a number of Indie movies. Sure there's ones that aren't good, but that's certainly true of a lot of big budget Studio stuff too. Just depends on what you like. I enjoy the occasional blockbuster too.
