Haven't played FFVII either.

Last time I tried was right after playing Crisis Core. I couldn't handle the switch to lego people graphics so I didn't make it very far hahaha.
It hasn't aged well at all.
I'm shocked
I only had an N64 (suprise, surprise) at first so I was late to the Playstation party. I did eventually get one, though, but I couldn't have every game I wanted. Turned-based JRPGs were the last thing I was intersted in so unfortuantely I missed out. And, yeah, it hasn't aged well. lol LEGO people is a perfect way of putting it, and we know I love LEGO.

They're pretty ridiculous changes. Not really for any kind of balance, just to keep you playing longer to get anywhere. I'm vanguard rank 6 or 7, that's since launch. So I'd only be able to buy 6-7 pieces of gear when I've already bought more in that time. This also after they already have a limit on marks you can earn each week to buy these things as well. Which is pretty much the only viable way to get decent gear outside of the raid.
Spot on. Pretty disappointing when they've been making a lot of positive strides.

I'm usually one generation behind on systems.  Didn't get my first SNES until the N64 had been out for a few months (though I played a lot at friends' houses).  Finally had my own N64 during the GameCube era, right before the Wii came out.  Wii & 3DS I actually had 4-6 months after launch.  Mentioned my late Ps1 above.  My PS2 I got only a year before PS3 came out, and of course my PS3 I got 10 months before PS4 came out.

In other words, I can't wait for the PS5 talk to start so I can grab me a PS4.

Yeah, that exotics thing is dumb, but people flipping out and crying about it are being kind of stupid if you ask me. Bungie has already shown they're willing to listen to what players want. I would seriously be surprised if they don't rectify the situation somehow. Just don't be an idiot, and avoid upgrading those exotics right away to see if they do plan on doing something about it.

You're not alone on that. Had a NES growing up despite the SNES being out. Family got a redesigned SNES during Black Friday shortly before or after the N64 debuted. Got an N64 during the holidays before the Gamecube/PS2 released. Bought a PS2 a few months after the PS3 came out.

Finally got a Wii and a 360 about a year or so after each launched and broke the cycle. Then I went and got a PS3 the Black Friday before the PS4 came out, so I'm back on track with that.

Also, if anyone was wondering, that swap I made back in the day for the PS1/N64 was for about a month. We traded them back to each other after we were done.

I'm not big on MP games for the most part. I don't mind going for online trophies if it's easy, but no way I'm going to bother with Destiny's. I like games I can knock out in a reasonable amount of time and a lot of the online stuff just drags that out unnecessarily.
If you're not big on MP, there's no reason for you to ever play through Destiny. The content you can complete alone is extremely limited and quite boring. Just skip the game.

Who's Vick in a Box in our fantasy league?  And why the hell am I already down by 2 points?  I swear, we've had some weird damn rules this year.

I remember playing this extreme sports racing game in the early ps1 days with my cousins. You choose to use a bicycle, rollerblades, skateboard, or a street luge and you could punch and kick each other like in Road Rash.

Edit: ESPN Exteme Games.

That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard for a fantasy playoff.
It's to award having the best records in the regular season, though it only sucks for you cause you ended up in the best division and a wild card, where's vickinabox was in the shit division.

I remember that game. I hated it. Think I rented it from blockbuster or something. It was def a 1st gen game

Really? I thought the campaign would have at least enough to it to make playing the game worthwhile. If not that's pretty damn shitty.

As far as i can tell it's the same as the mobile twitch app (from what i remember) so no logging in or searching function. The twitch app has always been shitty
that's not the case anymore - you can login, search by game/person/etc and jump right to who you're following. it's fairly usable now.

The local public college format radio station has major wood for them. Every festival they sponsor has them. I don't know if I've heard any of their music (probably have but didn't know it was them), but I'm annoyed by them just for this reason.

You should have a listen anyways, it's great! The group includes a woman, a black guy, a Mexican, 2 white guys, and a killer producer/dj!

I saw pos(the black guy) open up for brother Ali and Atmosphere at summerfest a couple years ago.

Wow, buying new legendary gear from Vanguard or Crucible will require a commendation which you only get by ranking up their reputations. That's fucking stupid.
That's why I can't believe you all are still playing Destiny. You sink hours and hours into it and it seems like every 2 weeks Bungie comes along and goes...

...and completely changes the rules of the game around.

Another 100% in the books.  I deleted and reinstalled titan attacks.  The trophies didn't auto pop for me, but all the ones that are "do x y times" popped the first time I did y on my save.  I still had to go through the whole game again for all the beat each level trophies.

Almost done with Okami. I'll probably play Into the Nexus next. Trophy guide says to do Legend difficulty first. What do you guys think?
Even on legend it was pretty easy
Yeah it looks like they recommend doing the arena stuff in Challenge mode, and it'd be nice to be able to drop the difficulty for that stuff if necessary. Probably save some time doing legend first.

I'm not even going to bother with a Top __ PS2 list since there's too darn many to list.
If you really want to go insane, try making a Dreamcast top 10. :headache:

 • Shadowman
 • San Francisco Rush 2049
 • Power Stones
 • Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
 • Bangai-0
 • Typing of the Dead
 • Crazy Taxis
 • Headhunter
 • Sword of the Berserk: Gut's Rage
 • Rez

Top 3 PS2 games:

GTA 3
GT 3
FF X

I really didn't play a lot of PS2 games. I was more into sports games with my roomates at the time. Most PS2 games I've played later via ps3 HD collections.

Edit: Looking back at pharm's list, ssx, onimusha, and baldurs gate I remember playing a lot of and enjoying as well.

Enjoyed Shadows of the Damned so I went ahead and picked up the Killer is Dead off amazon for $10. Allegedly there was only one printing (according to the deal thread anyway) so all of these should be the limited edition. The amazon description also lists it at "5.7 x 1.6 x 7.9 inches ; 1 pounds" which would support that theory. Includes what looks like a fairly thick artbook and the CD soundtrack

It's a pretty sweet collection.

On Android I guess. You can login in the iOS app. It's still kind of sucky, but it does do that and gives me a notification when people I follow go online.

The Fire TV stick seems good otherwise. It's somewhat Therm annoying that it's so Amazon Video focused, but that's not exactly shocking.

we'll just skip this month for the challenge.  try and be more proactive next month about picking a game earlier.
