always do the simon car mission, when he asked you to steal a certain type of car. you get good money for the car.
We did a ton of missions for him last night. They were the best money makers, but seemed to have low RP rewards. We were doing the actual missions and not the green cars that were on the map. I am sure those get you some good cash too. I just dont know if those show up if you are free roaming with friends or not. They did not seem to.

you will need those money, trust me once you get higher levels, and get access to higher level missions, and perks from lester, and marryweather security, those costs add up

the best thing about owning apartment is having the mechanic deliver your car, and when you feel like switching out cars

i got killed so many times by the store clerk's shotgun, while running away.

if you have alot of friends . the quickest way to unlock car customs, and earn rp points is to take turns winning the races.
You do know just to shoot the clerk... same amount of money and wanted level no matter what...

i preach non-violence, also the cost of bullets are not cheap. i do not even kill npcs, when i am stealing their cars, and they come after me punching me. i only kill in missions that requires it.

you better save up that money to get a high end apartment then, cheapest high end apartment is around $180,000
Why is a high end one needed if I am doing the heists?

I have 150k now which pretty much came all from last night. I did an exploit type thing to get to level 10 and had 0 cash from it. So hopefully another night of playing and I will have more than enough for a high end apartment and still plenty left around for more ammo when I need it.

Wait, didnt we get a lot of money and RP for pre ordering GTA 5? I need to check on that.
I think you did yeah. You should definitely look for that code.

I read you get less money if he hasn't emptied the register. Also, when I shot him after he emptied the register in one robbery last night it went to 3 stars when it was normally just 2.

because if you do not want to depend on other people to start heist. you need a high end apartment to start heist, and be heist leader. plus you get 10 car garage for high end apartments. also if you just own any apartments, does not matter if it is high end or not. if you go to sleep in your bed inside the apartment, you get rid of bruises on your characters face. and the shower washes away the blood stain. lol

So whats for lunch today?

I'm going to Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ and then I plan to finish up Resistance: Burning Skies for my last platinum of 2014.

With the wife working today and me working tomorrow looks like I'll miss out on eating greens w/ neckbones and black eyed peas.

(I wont miss the black eyed peas but the neck bones are pretty good)

Brb, going to check how many top ten scores Juffray has.

Oh wait it's none. He has none top tens.
Yeah, I'm probably not good enough for top ten scores without investing a lot more time and even then it's iffy. But fortunately no amount of you being a dick will ever change the fact that I three starred 29 before you. And I suck at video games.

Wow, that is about the snarkiest post I have ever seen from you. Good work :)

I see you moved on to PS4 Resogun. I know you want to help carry me to the plat on that one don't you? Pretty please!!

Sure man. Playing it on remote play is great since it runs almost exactly like the vita version and so far it hasn't given me any trouble.

and yeah, Stotch only actually has a higher score than me on like a dozen out of the 39 levels he's managed to clear. I assumed he was blowing us all away, but I stand corrected.

Getting the official thread sandwich (no mayo because I'm not a savage) after I pick up my printed out Cards Against Humanity set at Kinkos next door.

I fired up co-op for 1CC. Co-op is kinda shitty in Resogun. Shared lives and bombs, seems like. Not sure what the benefit of playing co-op is when some stupid fucker keeps dying and stealing your lives. :whistle2:k

I could hold my own on experienced until the final level. Replaying that alone with the stock lives if gives you on just that level meant I almost always died on the boss battle. I think co-op would make 1cc doable. There was no way I was getting that by myself. Let me know when you are available to play. Any time after I get home from work today until I have to go to work on Friday should work for me. Also pretty much all weekend too.

EDIT: And apparently, I did finish solo on experienced. I thought I had that to do still. Maybe it was veteran I was playing and getting stuck on the last level.

1CC took me a couple of hours this morning. I knocked out the game the first time I got to boss #5, but getting through the five levels while maintaining stock was what took a few tries. Usually my deaths were due to boosting just a split second late or not seeing something when the screen was covered in standard enemies. It didn't help that the wife came over and plopped down next to me on the couch, then kept moving around and making me shift a bit as a result. :wall:

Oddly enough the hardest part for me is always boss #2. Sticking close to avoid bullets while also circling around the boss as it spins tends to give me problems. Every other boss is much easier in comparison--just fire while running away does most of them pretty easily.

One thing I found really helpful; make a copy of Nemesis but as a much smaller ship. The smaller ship with agility up is a lot easier to weave in and out of bullets. Nemesis is just a lot more bulky in comparison to the one I made.

You know for veteran you can use stage select, right? You don't have to go through the entire game. Just jump into #5 and keep hitting it over and over. The smaller Nemesis clone I mentioned above might still help, though.

Yes, and as I said, I kept dying on the boss when I did that. I did not get any of the DLC so I have not done the ship builder stuff. As usual, I really just would like to finish the main game.

That last level on veteran is a hot bitch no doubt. I can't imagine it on master difficulty, but I don't think I'd be able to hang. I'll look you up later and we'll see if we can knock it out.

Also, boom goes the dynamite:

I got Resogun from PS+ and have Ship Builder DLC. No idea why. I guess it was free with PS+? Or just free in general. I don't think I ever even had to "buy" the DLC.

I have it too but I got the season pass thing so I dunno. Don't start that dlc if you care about completion though and are having trouble on veteran.

I think a cool feature in geometry wars would have been to show the dev high scores on every level. Even if they don't have trophies assigned to beating them all. Just so when I put up crazy numbers I can brag about how I'm better than the people who made the game.
You know I've played with Luke Smith, right? He's a cool guy and we added each other on PSN. I've talked about it before. Why do you want people here to believe that I randomly messaged some Bungie developer to tell them "I beat the game". Why the hell do you do this, Stoch?

What you said to me the day I got flawless was pretty messed up. I wasn't looking for applause but I didn't expect my efforts to be ridiculed, least of which from you. Funny how not a single person called you out on it. Even so, I graciously attempted to explain what may have caused the disparity when I should have simply ignored you.

I don't begrudge your lifestyle but we all don't have the luxury of dedicating countless hours to video games. You know how many platinum trophies I have so it should go without saying how big a deal it was for me to finally conquer Destiny. And even that required sacrificing all other games for months. But I managed to do it, even if I'm not as "masterful" at it as you. And for once I just wanted to share a cool trophy moment like the rest of you.

That's what I wanted the thread to understand. That Destiny is a game that welcomes and rewards all willing give it a chance. Your constant intimations that I somehow skated by were not only wrong (and hurtful), but sent the wrong message to people here who are already put off by the game. What matters is teamwork. Communication. Having an open mind. Not some K/D ratio (hell, I don't even know where you found that). And for saying so I'm derided and endlessly mocked. Called a "douche" and told I'm baiting when, again, I was only responding to your comments. Ffs, if we can't be cool with each other just leave me alone, man.

Not for the plat, but that dlc has a local coop trophy without dying and finish on veteran with a custom ship. The heroes dlc is fun but has a couple tough trophies too. It's an awesome game, but I prefer playing on the vita by a mile.

Good to hear the Vita port is solid even at 30fps. I'll give it a break, but will go for that plat a bit down the road, too. Damn fun game, Resogun.

I may be confused, but I think you answered as if I was asking about Resogun maybe?

I was asking about Geometry Wars. I guess I should not have removed the picture or removed the Resogun text. I can see how that was confusing. :)

Yeah, I read it as Resogun as well, but it seemed to not fit the context since you were pretty clear that you were only interested in the Resogun base game. Still had no idea what you meant instead, though. :whistle2:

Ahhhhh. Yeah, I'm missing the local coop but pancakes and I got the levels up to the boss unlocked (the three stars on those over share play is going to be fucking tough) and one single player score trophy that I'm not even close on - basically getting 10m without losing a life in a mode that gets more hectic the longer you're alive. I think I got 4m once and got overwhelmed, so that's my next beating-my-head-against-a-wall target during vacation.

Edit - oh right there a pointless grinding trophy too that I'll probably poke at while watching TV. Need 500k more geoms which will probably take 9 hours or so.

For anyone that cares:

Groupon has a 1 month sub to Loot Crate for $10. You buy it from them and then sign up on Loot Crate and use the code Groupon gives you.

just preordered Arkham Knight, and also picked up Assassin's Creed Unity for the long weekend....  Anyone know it a lot of the bugs have been worked out?

I read this in the voice of John Candy's character from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

I forget who, but somebody in here said they played through the game without any real issues. That was shortly after release. So YMMV and it probably depends heavily upon how bitchy you are whether the issues with the game will bother you or not. Most of the issues I'd seen reported were stuff like framerate dips and visual problems anyway...which are still playable.
