that's beside the point. look at everything that released last year, and put them up to sword art. it beat tales, ffx remaster, borderlands 2, and minecraft, among other things. it's still a surprise that it made the list.

 
I'm done with Wheel of Fortune. The only trophy I have left is the million dollar one, but fuck that. I got to the bonus round with the wedge again today. it was actually on my 50th win out of 50 needed for a trophy, so I figured maybe it was meant to be. Of course not. The prize in the envelope was just a themed set location that I already had. Eat every bit of my asshole, Pat Sajak.

Increased software sales of Japanese and Indie games can only help entice more varied development. We're already getting crazy amounts of releases on Vita very month and that only seems to be accelerating.

I missed the answer the first time I landed on the million in the bonus round. I thought I had really screwed up. I got it on my next try a few games later. Then I think I got it twice more without really even trying on the way to 50. I would say you have bad luck, but well...

 
I know basketball is not a sport that many in here ever talk about except for a few college fans.  I have been happy the Hawks are finally playing well even though I am just a fan from a distance.  I happened to notice this article on ESPN today.

After reading it, I thought I should change my name to AlpharettaUnicorn.  That is where I actually live.  While I am nowhere near 55, I am definitely the type of suburban fringe fan that would likely never drive into the city to go to one of their games.  In fact, they are the only Atlanta pro franchise I have not gone to a game in person since moving here in 98.  I even went to 2 different Thrasher's games when they were here and they played in the same building.  What makes that even more odd is that when it comes to pro sports, basketball is probably my favorite.  If Marta would ever expand out like they want to claim, I would be more likely to catch a game on a weekend at some point.  Right now, even with them doing well, for some reason I have no desire to go.

The time is ripe for Sony to get back on board and go for the handheld crown. Too bad they haven't really shown much that would lead me to believe they will. Honestly though if there is any one single piece of hardware that deserves accolades it's the Vita.

Apparently its the pure horror of at the time of release having to press 2 buttons to skip cutscenes instead of just one button that sent so many people into a tizzy.

i havnt started dead island escape yet. It is a gamefly rental and I heard it was shitty so howlongtobeat says about 6 hours so hoping to start/finish in the same day and fuck trophies.

I didn't play the original and still enjoyed it. Good classic 2d platforming.
 
It looks like that SlingTV service is not coming to PS4, but will be coming to Xbox One. :( I wonder if this is because Sony is going to have their own streaming TV service? I hope Sony isn't blocking it.

Haha, I've drank a cosmo before (and I'm completely straight). But to be fair, it was at a martini/cosmo bar here in Baltimore. It's just like any other mixed drink.

 
I don't love martini's, but my Mom and one of my brothers loves them, so I should try making those so I can treat them some time. Shaken, not stirred, of course, because I'm a goddamned man!

Work has sucked the last couple of days (shocker!), so I haven't been able to be on much during the day.  Pissed I missed out on Majora's Mask on Amazon and BBY.  Guess I'll just end up picking up the regular version at some point.

I was a big fan of the Hawks in my middle school days because that was when TBS only showed Hawks games instead of the whole league like they do now (or what TNT does for them). Mainly because I loved watching Dominique Wilkins. He was my favorite player. But I loved Kevin Willis and Spud and Augmon too. My dad was on a business trip in Atlanta and I asked him to buy me a Nique jersey, so of course the day after he got home and gave it to me, he was traded to the fucking Clippers.

But I always remembered the crowds at the Omni were always so empty and half-assed. Made me sad. I think the return to the pacman logo is a good start, but they need to lose the blue completly. Looks so generic. Rock the red & yellow!

Duke is alright if you temper your expectations to old time shooters. I can't get the turn/aim sensitivity I would like down perfectly, but trophy list is pretty easy and the over the top cheesiness is always welcome.

Didn't they announce that 2 years ago at CES? Along with some lame movie that would be a PS4 only exclusive?

I couldn't possibly care less though. I have 3 Chromecasts and a Roku 3. Don't need to leave my PS4 on 12+ hours a day for TV watching.

I don't watch hours of TV so this isn't an issue for me. I wish it was coming to PS4. I have a Fire Stick, but it's upstairs. I might get another one if this service proves good, but I'd also need an HDMI switch with more ports (or a 2nd 3 port one).

FYI, Chromecast wasn't on the list of supported devices, but the Roku is.

It's older school castlevania-style (linear, no metroidvania back-tracking) with a more robust melee moveset. There are some weird quirks though, like no double jump. To reach higher you have to run in one direction, pivot the stick the opposite direction so you start to skid, then press jump to do a backflip that has twice the height of a normal jump. There also aren't many upgrades. you start off with all the combat moves unlocked and then as you collect skulls you can either upgrade max ammo for your gun or max HP.

I liked the Hawks when I was growing up because of Nique as well. I could not stand Michael Jordan because him winning those dunk contests over Nique was an absolute fucking joke.

I switched to a Spurs fan when they got David Robinson and then later Dennis Rodman. It is kind of odd how now the Hawks are trying desperately to do everything like the Spurs did it. I know a lot of teams would like to, but everybody they seem to hire has a tie to the Spurs organization.

My new found fandom for the Hawks did not really start until they drafted Horford. I like to follow all the Gators from the back to back title years.

If you need another Fire Stick you might want to look at the Gamestick thread in the Video Game Deals section. It's $17 in store or $20 online via Gamestop. It's an HDMI stick (same as fire stick) and it can be hacked in about 2 minutes to run vanilla Anroid. HBO Go etc. etc. apps all work. I grabbed one, was super easy to setup. A lot of people in the thread are setting up emulators too, but I'm kind of done with that nonsense these days...don't have enough time to even play the games I have.

I really wanted the Bucks to draft Corey Brewer, but he didn't turn out to be as good of a pro as expected.
