Oh and my gaming resolution this year is to finish the Star Ocean plat. I'll probably start working on it again once I finish Disgaea. This will be the year of me knocking out RPGs that I have lingering on PS3 so I can be ready when they start coming to PS4.

Anybody play all 4 SO games? I've been playing 1 for a bit but it's so dated and slow that I'm not enjoying it that much. Trying to decide if I'd be better off playing 3 or if I should jump straight to 4. 3 does look like it's aged alright, but it's a bit hard to tell that just from gameplay videos.

TLH is one of the best games on PS3.

Yeah, for some weird reason I can't challenge anyone but bums also. The trophy guide says there should be a list on the main screen and that both psn trophies are glitched, so that's cool.
There was some other dude on my list I could try to beat scores, not sure if that counts. fucking weird game is weird.
So I found this nugget on the PSNP forums:

"The theories about this are true: Only people who bought the game in the first months of Vita (Feb- Jun-ish) can receive incoming challeges. The rest must rely on sending a challege to one of these "early players", and hope that they overcome it and send you back a reply.

If you get that reply (it took me more than a year... :( ), then it's just a matter of playing the challege again, get a better score than your friend, and the trophy is yours."

So we need Bums to play our challenge and reply with one? Bums? I'll send you a Stinkor car air freshener if you can help a brother out.

No i haven't sold my copy of resistance. It has the pass. I will stand at 8 though. If mattny wants it he needs to keep up. Too much work for me to keep checking if someone wants it
Don't give me that shit, I expected a hell of a lot more out of you than that wren.

I'll definitely take it for 8 though. Please, thank you and all that crap.

Skip 1, but 2 is the shit. The PSP version is the way to go.

For you guys that got the Tale of Hearts plat: Was it tough at all? Looks like the trophy guide is still based on the JP version, but is it usable? Any big missables I should be aware of? I'll go for the plat as long as it doesn't require me playing the game 10 times through.
It's easy. Trophy guide is fine. You really only need two playthroughs, although if you're psychotic you can do it in one. The second playthrough is so you can take advantage of the Grade shop and make leveling much faster endgame.

You can rush through the first playthrough and concentrate on the second one with Grade. And it's easy to grind Grade, unlike Symphonia. Only one missable trophy, I think - you collect these coins called Namcoins, and if you skip one sidequest early in the game it's missable. Just pay attention on your second playthrough, because Namcoins don't carry over so there's no real reason to concentrate on them your first playthrough.

I think it only took me about 60 hours to get the plat, which as you know isn't bad at all for a JRPG.

Why the fuck would bjs WiFi block video game websites? I remember taco bell doing the same. Neither block CAG though so are they purposefully targeting game sites they know about to block? And why would they care?
I was at a Hyundai dealership getting work done for a recall they issued a couple of years ago and their free Wifi blocked gaming sites as I was looking for a guide to God of War. I assume it's so employees don't log on to it and putz around on company time.

SO2 and 3 are great. Haven't gotten around to 4 yet.

yup. hospital wi-fi blocks any 'game related' web site as well.

which is fine if I'm sitting at the bench and supposed to be working.... (ha!) but when I'm using the computer in the break during my lunch?

so...going digital.

I bought the dvd of the Lego Movie. It came with a digital/ultra violet code. I put in the code and now can I watch the movie digitally through Vudu.

But if I want to watch the movie on my Amazon FireTV I need to purchase it again?   I mean,  it's only $10 to purchase it again digitally, but still.

(I've thrown away the code, and contacting customer support is little to no help)

There's also the issue of....Why pay for it, if it might show up free on Prime or Netflix in 6 months?

I'll hook you guys up and who says playing a game day 1 doesn't have benefits? I barely played the game so I assume you'll beat my score. If I have to beat your score for the trophy try not to score high.

Sorry for not completing the challenge you sent me. So Zimm and Pete send those challenges. I need to look up those trophies.

You are a scholar and a gentleman. I sent you one when I first played a couple weeks ago. Let me know if you don't see it and I'll send another.

You need to play it. Partly because it's a great game, but also so I can see how fast you can get the plat.

I probably screwed this, it seems to take your existing best score so mine might be too high (although I think it's still bronze range?). If so no big whoop, just ignore me.

News sites or like the PSN store? If the store, so that people don't download games over the WIFI maybe?

Oh, I definitely intend to play TLH. I'm just trying to figure out whether 3 is worth bothering with at this point.

No way I'm going for that TLH plat, though. 450-1000+ hours? :bs:
Yeah the plat is tough and super boring to be honest. The battle trophies can be super hard, and some of them require crazy precise calculations. Luckily those have been nailed down to a science at this point and there are apps and programs you can use to help you out. The toughest battle trophies are the ones that require you to get a ton of drops with each character. You don't get a drop for each enemy, so you basically have to kill thousands and thousands of enemies to get the 250 drops or whatever you need.

Why would they call pass interference there? I mean, Carr just hooked Nelson's fucking arm right before the ball arrived. Better to save the flag for when Romo throws the ball 10 yards behind Dez Bryant.

I wish I was in the tournament this month so I could tell vig to suck on that third place trophy after my $4 run today in Woah Dave, but I can't tell him to suck on that third place trophy because I'm not in the tournament so I guess he won't be sucking on that third place trophy.

Hey Mild Pete I beat your score by 200 Pts. I sent you the challenge back. I got both trophies.

Zimm send me another challenge as the previous one wouldn't connect.
