I think I will wait and hope for a better price on Dangaronpa.

Now I am trying to decide on Daxter, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and Tactics Ogre.

My daughter who is 6 went to a b day party Friday. She has a CD for some reason of the songs they played at the party. One of the songs is turn down for what. Do people have no clue what that song means? I mean I love it for obvious reasons.
But for a 6 year old's party?
Huh. I always thought it was "Turn Down the Water".

Not entirely far off, but still...

It's not the Kidz Bop version?
sounded like normal. Also my wife just told me the dj they had played other songs with curse words but he would scratch them out. But one song ended with the word "fuck". He stopped the song before it but all the kids sang it anyway. They all knew it. I think that's pretty awesome.

All six-year-olds at the party?

And what kind of shitty parents get a fucking DJ for a 6 or 7 year old birthday party?

Saints Row 4 100%/Plat. also 1st in another CoD clanwar, my best k/d was 56/3, woot. I hate call of duty. playing Shadow of Mordor, that is awesome. yup

Why do I keep torturing myself by looking at this damn picture....

Still waffling on Danganronpa. Anyone besides Vig play it and care to weigh in? $20 feels like a lot for a digital title with limited replay value (from what I understand).
I'm playing it now. It's a visual novel with some puzzles thrown in. It's very Japanese. It's very weird. Have you tried 999, Ace Attorney, Hotel Dusk, Ghost Trick...stuff like that? If you enjoy those type of games then go for it (especially at $20).

Hard to give impressions without spoiling. I'm still on the fence about the writing and pacing. The games I listed above all pretty much hooked me from the very beginning while it's taken more time to get into Danganronpa. Two characters in particular I find incredibly grating. That said, things pick up around the first trial.

Also, Gamestop has pre-owned physical copies for $24 if you can find it.

If anyone wants a quick plat and to make a few bucks for doing it, amazon has a tiv of $16 for trivial pursuit :ps3:, costs $10 used at best buy and available for shipping or store pickup. It might not come complete, so lock it in at the highest value and let them downgrade it to be safe.

Shit, how the fuck am I going to ship it. hopefully I have a box around the house big enough.
That's the problem. It's a crazy weird shape - a really long box that isn't that wide. I had to construct one giant box out of two smaller ones to ship my PS3 one back when it was fetching around this much.

I played through to the True Ending in 999 and loved it but I still haven't beaten VLR. The way they force you to get to several dead ends before advancing the story is annoying to me. I'm sure I'll like it once the story starts kicking in. So, I guess it's a tough call. "Very Japanese" does not inspire a lot of faith in me. This decision would be a lot easier if Sony would send out that damned 10% off code. That $2 makes a difference to me for some reason.

It's fantastic, but you're right, there's limited replayability after you've 100%ed it. It's a perfect GameFly rental. And it plays great on Playstation TV.

I have a Rock Band set I haven't used in forever in my storage unit, but it seems like a lot of effort to dig it out and then mess around with finding the right box and shipping it.

You might be the first single dude I have ever known who has had a storage unit. I thought those only got bought when you had a wife who forced you to move all your dude stuff there when you got married.

picked up my resident evil 4 pro run this morning and I was farther than I remembered - I ended up getting through the cabin scene in chapter 2 today which felt like an accomplishment. I had forgotten how silly it can get - 5 or 6 dudes coming in at a time, half of them get the head monsters, and they're pretty fast - too fast for the now seemingly sluggish tank controls. I think I used 3 incendiary, 1 regular and 4 flash grenades and a fair amount of shotgun ammo to get through. Now I have to deal with the stupid gondola and the axe throwers can kill me in two or three hits.
No wonder original RE lovers pissed on this game as the death of the franchise - it's not even on the same planet as the original in terms of gameplay style (as I've noticed from the remake footage). But damn it sure is good.
I think I finished this on pro once before but I don't remember. I bet the maze dogs are awful.
The worst part of pro is the Krauser boss fight. The timed portion nearly caused me to break my PS2 controller.

Shit, those last 2 chapters only took about 30 minutes. I could have finished it last night. Anyway, the shot gun has the  infinite range and no spread. There's only like 3 enemy types in the whole game (unless you count the terminators with skin on em). Half the game is on rail shooter. They make a point to kill off a soldier at every checkpoint. We would be so fucked in that war unless we had infinite grenades and rockets (like in some of the on rail shooter parts). Also, Christian Bale was way too expensive for the game, but they got Common and the girl from the Chun-Li movie and Burn Notice (and Terminator:Salvation obviously). Definitely one of those games you only play for the platinum. Anyone who says otherwise is a filthy liar.

Sweet finally got the Defense Grid 2 plat.  I thought the grind would annoying but those different requirements for gold were really enjoyable.   Reminded me why I enjoy the genre so much.

I have the standard set that came with Rock Band 2. Would that be the right set to trade in here?
Doesn't look like it. http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Band-Wireless-Drum-Set-Xbox/dp/B001BX6MR0/ref=sr_1_6?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1421691121&sr=1-6&keywords=Rock+Band+Drum+Set

The big difference is that the drums for RB1 were wired; RB2/3 was wireless. But with the yabbos who run the trade in site making ridiculous mistakes as evidenced in the Warehouse Deals thread (Destiny PS4 console came with a black console and no game, for example), who knows if they would catch it?

I'm in the same boat as a lot of others with the Rock Band drum kit. I have one and would consider selling it at that price, but I don't know how I would go about shipping it.

Thing I learned today while getting a car inspection: Stacey Dash walks around her house naked courtesy of Meredith Live.

Darn it, Pete, I had plans to plat other backlog games.

Rocksmith 2014 is such a ridiculously good upgrade over the original Rocksmith.  So smooth, no lag, great songs (my wrist hates me after doing back-to-back The Trooper and War Ensemble).  There's even a Guitar Hero-esque mode.

And I've already lapped Pete.

If any of you have a 360 Rock Band Drum Kit lying around, they're fetching a pretty trade-in penny at Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TT2D2A/
$88.80 (LN) / $83.86 (G) / $74.00 (A)
Ooh awesome find! I think I still have the spare set my cousin gave me years ago. I know I kept my box for the entire Rock Band 1 set that I bought but don't know if I could trick them into giving the higher value. I submitted it as average just in case.

Amazon notified me of their Amazon Smile campaign where they donate to your charity of choice when you use their site. I signed up and chose the HRC as usual.
