I liked SM quite a bit despite the QTE final boss. Word of warning, though; trophy guide shows 50 hours of MP, and you won't be able to get all that without buying a $10 Elite Pass.

This thing:

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/warhammer-40000-space-marine-elite-pass/cid=UP1005-BLUS30432_00-ELITEPASSUNLOCK1

Without it you're restricted to level 5 in MP.
I'm not going to even lie to myself that I will be going for the plat on this one then. 50 hours? Jesus.

Singularity is one of those games that I always look at but never pull the trigger on.  I wouldn't mind getting it but anything else on that list that seems worth playing I already picked up long ago.

Same way with Syndicate (it's not on the list)... anyone played that?

Just checked ebay and found someone selling a bunch of them new for $11.50 with FS.  I'll probably go ahead bite at that price since I missed BBY clearing them out at $7.  Here's the link if anyone else is interested.

I started some truly awful post about how Singularity was good and Syndicate was shit..blah, blah, blah..

But then I actually researched Syndicate a little bit and it actually sounds pretty good. Got a 5/5 from Giant Bomb, though I honestly don't know if that is meaningful or not. All I know is I am going to give it a shot.

I've had it for a while but barely touched it. I'll run through co-op if you want when you pick it up.

I had no idea this was on Vita, but Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds apparently got a PC release and TB did a video on it. Looks quite fun. Has a Scott Pilgrim kinda style, but with two horizontal planes you can switch between rather than being able to go up and down freely on an open stage. Also seems to have a much more developed fighting system. Base is $12 for the Vita version. I'll wait for a sale, but might impulse buy it at some point down the road when my Vita backlog has magically begun to disappear on its own.

I tried Syndicate a while ago. And I stopped playing it about half an hour in. Just...something was off.

Milk kitty whatever is fun. Seems like a good revamp of Defender. It's more like Defender than Resogun, both in being less pattern based and in the control department.

For those on the fence about Aqua Kitty, it was a free mobile game on the Vita years back so you may already own a version of it to try out.

I would say that version is plenty enough for me.

Still thinking about Strike Suit Zero against my better judgment. Figure if it takes this long to decide on it then the answer should be no.

It was on Xbox live arcade for a long time before being announced for Vita too. I played a bit of it on there, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I also didn't like Scott Pilgrim the game.

I liked Scott Pilgrim. The trophy list kinda sucked in that it made you replay the game for every character IIRC. I ended up doing 2 and then quitting. Phantom Breaker only requires 2 total, IIRC. Though more if you get the DLC after beating the game since the DLC trophies have you play a couple times with the DLC character. If you buy the DLC to begin with you can just use that character from the start to get all the trophies in 2 goes, though.

Watching this I know I'd get absolutely infuriated at how all the enemy ships twirl around randomly. With your bullet fire having to traverse the distance to the enemy, leading the enemy properly is really frustrating and difficult. You can see how much time the guy spends just trying to hit enemies on the screen.

I fucked up. I couldn't remember if I had 2 or 3 Rock Band drum sets. My friend and I still play occasionally so I definitely wanted to keep one and assumed I had only 1 to trade in. Right now I just found a 2nd spare and now the trade value plummeted. Damn. Originally I bought the RB1 band kit and my cousin gave me his spare years later. He eventually bought me the RB2 drum expansion for Christmas so I guess I picked up a RB2 kit which is what I normally use and how I ended up with 3. I should have just submitted the 2 separately to Amazon and could have canceled if I didn't find another. Lesson learned.

Is anyone streaming? I'm going to pack up the kit and some more clothes to donate. I'm slowly cleaning out my closet :)

I bought it when it came out on the Vita and it was alright. It gets repetitive real fast but I'd probably enjoy it more in co-op.

I don't think I ever finished it but I did enjoy what I did play. It sort of had that Deus Ex setting feel to it but none of the dialog and cast. More of the running and gunning than any stealth.

I was going to write a response to the deli meat discussion but then didn't feel like typing it out.  I'd kill for a real New York deli with giant sandwiches in Texas though.

Ended up getting:

Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender DX Vita/PS4

3rd Birthday PSP/PSV

Legend of Mana PS1

Brandish: The Dark Revenant PSP/PSV

#KILLALLZOMBIES

For $35.57 after the 10% coupon. $0.71 left in my wallet.  :D/

Wrapped up Advanced Warfare tonight.  Story was decent but the ending came up a bit short...still easily the best COD game in a while.  And, I got all the mission trophies except one easy cleanup one, so I only need to speedrun Veteran and do the Co-op stuff to get the plat.

I really dont know what to use my code on for the sale...most of the indie titles I own through either Plus or GWG and I feel like the rest will make their way there at somepoint.  I guess I'll grab Just Cause 2 and Shadow Warrior and call it a day?

George got the plat on that game, too. 70% of people who have played it got the plat.

I guess I see what you're saying, but I think that game's a bad example.
Looks like it was only about a year ago, but I'd be willing to bet George was still in his trophy whore phase when he got those. Seems like he's broken out of that though recently, based on our chats during my stream.

I finally went to Jimmy John's and had the #9 with hot peppers and mayo (extra mayo). Tasty sandwich. And quite filling. Didn't even grab chips and I was full.

Can't explain why all of these Subways around here can stay in business while you can find a decent sandwich elsewhere.

I wouldn't have played Trivial Pursuit in the first place if not for Pete pointing out we'd get paid to plat it.

Also, you may have said this before, but what are your goals, if you don't mind my asking?
Looking at your PSN Profiles account, it looks a lot more solid than I expected. You got a few trophy hunter games there (Trivial Pursuit, PacMan 2, Sonic Collection [which I have too]) but much less easy ones than I expected.

You've just been gaming like mad in January.

Of course you get deli sliced meat over the pre-packaged stuff.  I even saw some "Private Select" pre-sliced stuff for like $4 for 7 oz.  It was only $7 for a pound of the deli-sliced stuff, so it was even cheaper to get it sliced.

Preordered KH3 from Amazon because why not.  I've only ever beat 1, and actually want to start over with it when I dig into 1.5.

It's not like the story has any semblance of sanity to it, I may just play 3 when it comes out regardless of if I've played the older ones.

So....Winter Soldier is damn damn good.

Best part though, at the end....

when Nick Fury's fake grave had his fucking Pulp Fiction Ezikiel 25:17 quote on it,

I nearly woke the damn house up fist pumping and laughing.

Did a last pass over the list and added on another one, Pandemonium!. A 2 1/2D platformer that looks like a lot of fun for $2 and though you can't download it direct to vita, you should be able to download it the PS3 and transfer it according to IGN's list.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsevuLwlOn8

final haul:

Costume Quest 2

Gex

3rd Birthday (mainly because it has apparently NEVER been on sale since it was released in 2011)

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Lumines Supernova

Pandemonium!

$20.21 after coupon

I might have also picked up Abyss Odyssey, but it's been $2 cheaper before and will likely hit rock bottom like their other games rock of ages and Zeno Clash 1 / 2

So I just plugged in Tales of Hearts R, and...uh...WHAT THE CRAP WHY IS IT IN JAPANESE?! The bubble, digital manual, menu, everything...it looks like the Japanese version!

I bought this copy from a Gamestop a few months ago and the box is in English, so what the heck, am I just screwed now?! :wall: :wall: :wall:

Hopefully some jerk didn't import the region free Asia version with Japanese language, play it, then buy when it was released in NA and then return it with the import game in the box so he could get a free upgrade.

What do you mean "hopefully"?! That's exactly what this looks like!

A single Gamestop in my area has a used copy and I have to visit that area on Tuesday anyway. There are a few employees at that location that know me pretty well, so I can only pray that they'll believe me and help me out somehow. I have no other options otherwise, since I bought the game at a GS I don't normally visit, I don't have the receipt anymore, and there's zero chance of the employee who was working that night remembering me.

Does Tales of Hearts R save the game to the cart? Maybe someone changed the language to Japanese to be an asshole?

Here's the menu translation

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/tales-of-hearts-r/220332-tales-hearts-r-faq.html

Try going to the config menu, press start, then select the first option to reset options to default.

But you're probably right, someone wanted a free NA version of the game.
Thanks, but that didn't fix anything. And anyway, I doubt that would have changed the Vita bubble name to Japanese also.

Surely, they can search your purchase history using your PUR card. Have them do that to prove you bought it from them.

Yeah, that's my hope. I'm not 100% positive, but I think they'd be able to see more details for my purchases than I can, at least based on how GS.com just shows "Sales Transaction" for my various purchases without any more detail.

Welp. Managed to get that Speedrun trophy in KH during my proud playthrough. Really cut it close (Final time probably was like 14:45), but that's what happens when you unnecessarily spend the first 12 hours collecting every single treasure and do side events when they come up. Didn't decide to go for the speedrun until I hit Halloween Town, but  I still made it.

Yay unskippable credits.

I thought Shadow of Mordor was awesome before, but I just got to the 2nd area tonight and binge played for past 4 hours. Randomly got a level 25 rune, and then did some awesome trophies like rise and fall and stinking rebels. So awesome with the branding power :)

Let me know if you have success transferring Blood Omen to Vita. I couldn't get it to work the other day.

It is the bread and price. I much prefer a real deli sandwich to Subway myself. Being in NY there are plenty of Delis.

Uh...it's Japanese audio, but the text should be in English. Unless you bought a used copy and some asshole had "returned" an import copy previously with the cart switched out.

Edit: Owl'd.

That sucks man. At first I thought maybe you didn't realize that the audio is in Japanese, but it does sound like you got screwed now that I reread. Did you get it used or new?

Here's why I hate UNC.  Coach K just won his 1,000th game last night.  Kind of a big deal.  Sports radio this morning here in Charlotte is full of people calling him overrated, a rat, a flop, saying refs gave him all the wins, talking Lehigh, Mercer, etc.  I think if I grew up anywhere other than Charlotte I'd be OK with Carolina.  But the UNC fans here are so classless.  I hope the NCAA brings it hard against them, but as someone who's grown up in a state where every reporter, politician and judge went to Carolina and nothing ever fucking happens to their players or program, I know nothing will come of this latest scandal as well.

The story made a lot more sense to me after playing Chain of Memories. I recommend not skipping that one, or at least watch videos of the story (both character playthrough storylines).

I still can't believe they put so much story in a Game Boy Advance game. I was so lost playing KH2 on PS2.

I eventually will get to this series (I have both HD collections on PS3). What is the recommended play order to avoid those rage WTF moments I have heard about with the story?
