I didn't say it was the *only* motivator. I'm definitely glad to have I Am Alive deleted from my HDD after it had been sitting there since Nov. 2013.I just like playing video games.

Agree on all, I have a love hate with comcast, I am not trying to defend them.Except if you do your research, Comcast was right there with Verizon pumping money into lobbying against net neutrality in this whole fight. Most people don't realize how much money is used by Comcast to stop anything that may not give them an advantage. For instance, Comcast spent 2 million here in Colorado to stop the easy ability for Fiber companies to come in and set up shop, right around when Google was looking at Denver for the first fiber city.
Comcast is just as bad if not worse then Verizon when it comes to this, and you can bet your ass they are going to throw a hell of a lot of money to overturn the Net neutrality laws just passed.
Not a fan of that coke machine, stuff just comes out tasting only slightly like I picked. Vanilla coke doesnt taste like vanilla coke from a can, know what I mean?I don't know what I like about the Jimmy John's near me better, their sandwiches or Cherry Coke being a soda fountain selection. I almost never see that except if it's in one of those 1000 variety ones and this tastes better.
Cherry Coke not normally a selection where you are? Around here most coke machines offer it, always awesome. Only thing I ever get from those 1000 variety machines is fruitpunch and/or lemonade. The sodas never taste quite right.I don't know what I like about the Jimmy John's near me better, their sandwiches or Cherry Coke being a soda fountain selection. I think someone here has said it before, but you need to douche it with some water before making your selection.Cherry Coke not normally a selection where you are? I am sorry you think I am upset because I used the wordNo reason to get upset, just trying to have a civil discourse.
Whether they "throttled" due to netflix traffic or the increase in traffic through those middlemen, I dont know, I just know what I read from the paper netflix wrote which stated that cogent said comcast wasnt adding more capacity like they would do in the past.
So tell me though, what does this solve? What problem was there? Netflix paid comcast, twc, verizon, etc to direct connect to their networks, and everyone gets good service from netflix, who accounts for 35% of bandwidth in NA during peak hours.
Had they imposed unbundling, then Id be all for it, as is I dont see what this is going to accomplish?
IIRC, you posted the Helldivers list before, but not the other two.Do we know these? I can never remember which ones I post and which ones others post:
Helldivers (PS3/PS4/Vita shared list, Platinum)

Sorry, based comment on your tone in the post as well.snip
I've been getting SSL connection errors most of the day on my work laptop, but my phone that's on the same WiFi loads CAG just fine.Is CAG on the fritz or being slower than usual for anyone else? Sometimes I get long load-times or a "504 Gateway Time-out" error page.
No, they do not service Netflix. They service the end customer. If an ISP is generally shitty for everything in an area, then of course nobody there will sign up for Netflix. A lot of people likely won't sign up for the internet service either. The internet is the modern day utility service. It is a slippery slope when the owners of the network can dictate what can come down its pipes and with what quality of service.Sorry, based comment on your tone in the post as well.
Answers you give to those 4 questions would be my answers to with the caveat that comcast services companies like netflix as well who push traffic to their end users. If comcast doesnt have good infrastructure and service then netflix loses out on potential customers as they cant get people to use their service if they cant access the service.
Thanks for saying what you got. I refused to ask after that begging for a response post earlierGator I got 91st bernarduss 6 pack for 20.99 due to a 2 dollar off coup. Also got a Roquefort 10 and a white ale from witterker they were getting rid of. The old guy there liked it and it was 2.99 for a 750 bottlle
yeah I need to download an app to get a better keyboard or so.ething. until then I saidThanks for saying what you got. I refused to ask after that begging for a response post earlier
I hope you typed that on your phone and/or you are already drunk. That post needed a secret decoder ring.
Someone needs to add a GTA UI to that video. :lol:This is the funniest damn thing I've seen in a long time

I liked how they started doing the Tecmo Bowl zigzag move to escape several times. And how whoever was chasing them thought that pulling a car in front of them in a wide open area would accomplish anything. Then did it 42 more times after it didn't work.Someone needs to add a GTA UI to that video.
So does netflix not have to pay to direct connect to comcast etc now? Will netflix work better for everyone? No, they do not service Netflix. They service the end customer. The internet is the modern day utility service. It is a slippery slope when the owners of the network can dictate what can come down its pipes and with what quality of service.
If this ruling didn't happen, it actually hurts competition. Here is why. There could never be another competitor to Netflix without it. Why? They would have to charge more money from the beginning to be able to pay to play with Comcast. They could not afford that without higher rates. So who would ever even give them a chance?
They should not have to, no. It should be treated like any other traffic in the network. If there is available downstream bandwidth it will be sent down just like any other traffic would be.So does netflix not have to pay to direct connect to comcast etc now? Will netflix work better for everyone?
It does in theory at least protect the next Netflix. A small upstart couldn't afford to pay Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, etc to give their traffic priority. Where the bigger services could.I just dont see that this fixes an issue. The real issue was lack of competition in broadband and what does this do for that? If there was competition in broadband and company a throttled netflix but company b,c,d didnt, then company a wouldnt have people subscribe who wanted netflix and would quit doing it since they would limit their customer base by doing it.
Real reason why comcast etc did anything like this at all is lack of competition which I dont think this addresses.
You bastard!I feel dirty. I kept a tab for the Mega Man Amiibo Amazon page up for the better part of the day and kept refreshing on the off-chance it would come back in stock, like what was mentioned in the Amiibo thread.
The good news: I finally got one, though it's backordered until 3/5.
The bad news: It took nearly 5 hours.
The other side of the argument is peering agreements. They have been around since the beginning days of the Internet. I want to say was like 4 to 1 on average. Meaning you could send upto 4 times of the amount of bandwidth through someone else's network without paying a fee but Neflix/Cogent was going way over that. I think to some degree peering arrangements are outdated though with tons of fiber in the ground. They should not have to, no. It should be treated like any other traffic in the network. If there is available downstream bandwidth it will be sent down just like any other traffic would be.
I am sure, Comcast and Verizon will find some way even within these rules to make it work to their advantage.
I'm not sure if I should react with shame or pride. You bastard!
I believe the phrase I heard during last night's stream was "I don't want to finish drinking because I ran out of beer. I want to finish drinking when I feel like I've had enough."When do u know your an alcoholic? A friend is asking.
I do not think it does by itself. I am pretty sure that is the next item on the list of things for them to tackle. The FCC may not have enough power to do that though. I think it might take a challenge in the court system to declare those state laws unconstitutional. Not sure if being classified as a utility maybe starts to open up the possibility of the local governments in these states being allowed to run fiber (or have another company do so) and either sell directly or allow many other companies to sell over this fiber.
Everyone needs a hobby, drinking is yours. When do u know your an alcoholic? A friend is asking.

C'mon, you're underselling the name! Shutshimi: Seriously Swole. That is hilarious. So Choice Provisions (formally Gaijan Games), the people behind the bit.trip series and thread favorite Whoa Dave!, are getting into publishing.
http://totallychoice.com/blog-post/introducing-choice-publishing
In their first three releases, they are taking over the Dragon Fantasy Book 1 & 2 games and renaming them for release on Wii U/3DS/Steam.
They are also publishing a PS4/Vita (and Wii U/3DS/Steam) game called Shütshimi that is descripbed as "...a randomized shoot'em up about a muscle-bound fish with memory problems defending the seven seas." (soundsing awesome)
